@@francescocascella4666 Saw a video where, using flux mode and expanding the tempo range, you could record up to 128 steps (if your tempo is on 1/4). To unlock this, you got to power up the synth while also pressing the func button, then press the fifth key (Tri), then press the record button to save the changes. The video is called "Korg Volca Keys 128-Note Sequencing Tutorial, Tips & Tricks".
Well, Volca Bass basically can be a Roland TB 303, is a bass sequencer but with the octaves you can make a lot of more sounds, not a bass necessarily. They are just different, but similar in a lot of things.
Ciao Luca, gran video, complimenti! Riusciresti a pubblicare la patch per il suono che hai utilizzato? Purtroppo non riesco a trovare nulla di simile in giro :(

Hey man awesome video ! I have a little question for you ! . How do i connect my volca to my pc and then be able to send midi information from my daw to the volca and be able to record that ? Thanks !
Thank you, was trying to do a tubular bell thing but could'nt do it in real time. Need to get my head round the FM buttons as their different to the keys.

Wouldn't it be much simpler and way faster to simply slow down the tempo to 56BPM (you can unlock this via the global menu), add the metronome and live play? It's such a simple sequence that you can get it right on your first try.
Sure! But this tutorial was made to show the active step mode. You can also live play, but in this way you have the certainty the notes are perfectly timed.
Yeah, for the sake of showing this input method I do understand the purpose of the tutorial, but in actual use unless you activate Flux Mode notes are always bound to the 1/1 of each step hence playing live with a very low tempo wouldn't be a timing issue.
Yes I use both methods depending on what I want to get. For example in this sequence ruclips.net/video/A8ioz4poCgY/видео.html i used active step mode to change melody steps in different ways without compromising the entire sequence, until I found what I wanted.
you can try with a simpler sequence, only to become familiar with active step, or use the classic method, playing direcly notes while recording, like said Nicholas Valbusa, down here.
Fabulous trick (if you are unable to record it directly maybe at a slower tempo). I appreciate the demonstration of the technique. Thanks. Lee
First time I understand the step mode on the Keys!!! Great vid man
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thx for the video! Can you share synth setup to make similar sound please?
Of course, isolate the step for each note!
I've been trying to sequence melody's in real time with disappointing results.
Thanks for the tip!
Thank you, this video taught me how to use the step sequencer and I used this piece as my first sequence.
Aw man you helped me out so
Much! Now i can program arpeggios
I'm glad it was useful!
Oh yeah, great Jam. I had the idea 2, but didn't realized it yet. Season 4 is coming! 🎧🔊
Ciao! Great for learning active step mode.
Brilliant my daughter will be happy 👍👍 Thank you for posting 😇
Please,more volca keys tutorial!
It's hard to have time to make tutorials, but I will do my best.
Thank you so much Luca!! Very simple and crystal clear tips!!! Have a nice life....
Thanks Giovanni!
Please could you upload the patch sheet for this? I can't get anywhere near it. Many thanks.
Awesome !!! Thanks for the tuto!! 🤟
You're welcome!
@@LucaDoldi no... YOU are awesome ...😜
Hint: use volca bass patch from luca's other video.
got it, took multiple tries, but once you know the process, its super easy!!!
Yes it is! Thank you
Please share the patch with us, so hard to see the knobs!!
My biggest frustration with the keys is the lack of a good step input mode. This is a good workaround, but slow.
Unlock the expanded tempo range and it's not so bad to record.
How unlock?

@Luca Doldi a pic of the config would be excellent. Great video btw.
Works a treat!
Very good
thank you!
Thanks for the video!
good one buddy, thanks a lot
It would be amazing if you could do more “how to record” tutorials
I will try to do it
Thank you. That would be great. I’ve learned already so much from your sessions 🙏🏻
When it comes to bass which the Keys does pretty well, what does the Keys have over the Volca Bass and vice versa ?
keys has Knobs. lots of knobs
Well, Volca Bass basically can be a Roland TB 303, is a bass sequencer but with the octaves you can make a lot of more sounds, not a bass necessarily. They are just different, but similar in a lot of things.
The keys is far more versatile than the bass with a proper ribbon keyboard layout and has 3 note polyphony.

Very nice Video..I really liked this one..
thank you!
Ah, hard to discern the knob positions. Still, thanks for the tutorial!
Same problem here, first the sound is without delay/tremolo/arp but in recording mode it sounds like a tremolo.
Thanks :)

Hey man awesome video ! I have a little question for you ! . How do i connect my volca to my pc and then be able to send midi information from my daw to the volca and be able to record that ? Thanks !
You must have a midi interface, connected with the volca midi in, and then you have to create a midi track and then assign volca to the track.
GREAT!! could you send me the patch sheet? or the presets? Thanks in advance !! Regards from Argentina!!
@sonic_man 10 figure it out man.
can you hel p me , i wonder how you can a clean warm juno lead synth sound out of it, just bought it

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong I’m doing every thing right but it’s repeating the 2nd and 3rd note any advice
Did you restored all the notes before playing?
Don’t worry I fixed it all I had to do was copy the settings below the notes (red lights) thanks
For some reason the first two notes always glissando up…I am following the steps on video but it does not separate the first two
check your portamento or change to polyphonic mode
Can you use this method on volca fm ?
yes, also the FM has the active step, it's the same.

I found out you can leave the REC button active one Active step mode.
