I thought it was funny near the end of your video when you asked “If you’re not interested in a Messenger bag, I don’t know why you’re still watching” - I am one of those people. Still intrigued by your video and love this design, even though it’s not for me. You did a great job of showing it off.
It's refreshing to see a review that comes after actually using the product. I've been wanting one, and your review has sealed the deal. Thanks for this.
I've now used the Tacsac 13 every day for about a year. I've also been a Traveler's Notebook user for nearly 15 years, from back when they were still under the Mirdori name. I live in Phnom Penh and work as a researcher at a national agriculture university. In SE Asia most people rely on motos to get around. I'm no exception. My primary transportation is a 30 year old Honda Phantam, which is a small chopper that is perfect for getting around town. I mention this because it means that the Tacsac is exposed to rather extreme weather most days. This year our dry season was the hottest I've seen in more than 20 years. When it reaches 45C, it is actually dangerous to be caught out in the sun for more than five or ten minutes. Getting stuck at a long traffic light was a bit scary. Now we are in the middle of the rainy season it's rare that I don't get caught in at least a little rain every day. Last month I got caught in the worst storm of the year, out in the open. The water quickly reached half way up to my knee. Sadly the bike stalled out in the worst of the flooded area and I had to push the bike a kilometer to get to a petrol station where there was a little shelter where I could wait out the storm and let the bike dry out enough to start again. I was carrying a rather expensive Thinkpad Carbon X1 laptop, a nutsac molle laptop sleeve in the bag and everything came through the storm dry as a bone. Their laptop sleeve is surprisingly stiff rather than being soft or padded, but because it attaches to the bag using molle, it is suspended from the bottom of the bag enough to give it protection from at least small drops. The bag looks great, even in formal environments like meetings, but it doesn't look too expensive from a distance so it is less of a target for bag snatchers, who are common in Phnom Penh. The only down side of the bag, other than not having a luggage handle sleeve, as mentioned in the review, is that the block version of the bag uses brown straps that are died black. After two weeks exposed to the sun every day and they turned brown. Originally the black bag came with a brown strap and I saw several reviews that complained about this. I wish they have either kept them brown instead of doing a half-assed job of dyeing them black. But that is an extremely small quibble for an otherwise stellar product. And yes the name of the company is a bit childish, but then so are the commenters who wouldn't buy the bag because of the name of the company. This bag meets all of my needs and will likely continue to be my daily companion for the next decade at least.
I’ve been at a loss these past months. Trying to find that perfect “do all” carry bag. I’ve done the day pack/gear bag/brief case thing for years woefully wasting time and money. I’m not knocking the “usual” big three gear bag makers as I’ve bought countless items from them (as we all have) over the years. How to not look para-military, raise eyebrows, have style, quality and functionality were key factors for me at a reasonable price that I can justify were paramount! Yes, I’ve gone the expensive (F*l**n) route too, but found their mammoth “do-everything” briefcase was too cumbersome and impractical for everyday use. Ahh, in comes your review for this bag that seems to fit all my needs! You and I are on the same page for these products. Thank you for your thorough and amazing review as I’m now much better informed! BTW, I’ve liked and subscribed to your content! 🤗❤️
I really love your objective reviews. It is obvious that you are thinking of your viewers when you make these reviews. I also love that you are realistic when it comes to pricing. Keep up the great work!
One of the best bag reviews I've ever seen. Great bag but not having water bottle pockets is a deal breaker for me. Too bad really as I love the vibe of the waxed canvas. Also agree the other missing element is the luggage pass through. No bag is perfect or meets the needs of everyone, which is why these types of reviews are so helpful. Keep up the great work. I use a Vanquest Envoy 13 which has both missing elements previously mentioned.
Amazing review! I'm grabbing my NutSac as we speak! I probably wouldn't have imagined buying one had I not been using a satchel already and specifically looking for a forever bag. Let alone with such a killer brand name.
Best review on any bag I’ve ever seen. Been wanting to make the jump from a backpack to something more adult looking for years that fits my profession. Thank you. New subscriber for sure keep it up
Thank you for a great review! I have the TacSac Ballistic Nylon and love it. Now I am retired Federal Law Enforcement and have a ton of bags and backpacks. But now I keep going back to the NutSac. The 13” TacSac is great and motivates meet to rethink and reduce what I am carrying unlike a big backpack or large messenger bag which makes me carry more than I really need as EDC. Thanks again for the great review
This is a handsome bag. I bought a bag with similar materials to this for my husband from etsy a couple of years ago. It was a similar price point but not as well organized. Nutsac's price is very fair given all the labor involved in making this bag. I think with all these zippers and hardware, my worry would be durability of hardware over time.
Fantastic review, Maurice! Very thorough and thoughtout. It was great to hear your experience with the bag and your criticisms/feedback as well :) Thanks for the great video.
Im far more rough with my bag. Which is why I love my NutSac. It takes a beating. My first month daily use made it look like I used it daily for five months straight. I also do use one of my many bags daily. I own four different ones now. I have a TacSac 13 Jones 13, RucSac, and the Duffel. All benefit me for specific occasions and I love them equally. If you're here to because you're on the fence trust and believe it'll be worth it now since they have payment plans.
Insanely thorough review. While the price on this will make me think about it for a while this looks like a great everyday option. The single strip molle in the open quick pouch is exactly what I would love for the same reason you do. Any bag I’m looking at needs to have some type of “pocket dump” quick pocket - this looks perfect. Sometimes you just feel too heavy in the pockets, or are doing something (driving, walking on a job site, etc.) where you just need to lose some weight but still want quick access to your EDC.
Great review, this is exactly the kind of bag I have been looking for. I prefer the no padding since I use an iPad with a case, looking for lightweight compact in and out of my truck multiple times a day with it but at the same time sure I have all my necessary devices with me Great job. I’m subscribing.
EEEeeeexcellent review! I have been shopping around for tactical messenger/sling types that would work well for CCW and EDC with laptop etc. It was between the satchel 15 or the tacsac. This has made the choice easy.
This is the first video of yours I've seen. It earned a sub from me. It's such high quality. Good video, good audio and you're very well spoken and keep stuff clean and concise. I don't even know what else you do videos on but I'm sure I'll watch them. The only thing I've noticed is you speak a lot with your hands and I almost wish I could see them better. This makes me want to do better on my videos.
One of the complaints I've seen about the TacSac 15" relates to the placement of the D-rings to which the shoulder strap attached. Apparently the bag can suffer "drooping" at the top (unlike its 13" brother) - did you find this to when you used it? Your work load out is pretty much the same as mine, although I use the "Muy Grande" which gives an extra internal pocket but is "big".
Thanks, for the comprehensive review, I know it’s been a while since you reviewed this, however the one question I had was, will it stand? One of my pet peeves is my bag slouches, or falls over if I stand it on a table, I have even gone so far as to add a rigid thin piece of cardboard to the bottom to add the rigidity I need. Thanks.
Love the bag but can’t decide on color. They all look different in the pictures, even in this video I’m not sure if you had the black and the brown or just the brown. Any advice would be helpful. Currently leaning towards the black but only if the leather sections are not too dark.
I’m not sure why I’m watching this review… my mind is already pretty much made up. I’m 90% sure that I’m buying one when we get back from South America. I guess I just enjoy this channel. 😅
Great question, Frank - if this were a duffel, it’d be awful, but since it’s a messenger at less than 4” deep, it actually helps the bag sit flush against the body since the attachment points are now in-line with the back of the bag.
Cool review. but... what about your LUNCH? Kind of shocked you didn't show how it handles a square lunch box. For me, a commuter bag needs to hold food more than knick knacks.
Dam I went and looked at the price for an Australian, $375’ laptop sleeve $149 shipping $113.23………. $622 😮😮😮 way over priced for us mere mortals. And there is no water bottle holder
This looks like a great product I will never buy simply because of the company name. I don't ever want to say that company name when someone asks me where I got the product. It's expensive anyway, so I guess I still wouldn't buy it.
Beautiful bag - however good thinking on their part to keep their unfortunate brand name to a minium. The idea of having a bag called a " nutsack " might give a shiver of excitment to some, or provide a few jokes " have you seen my nutsack ? " for others, but NOT something I want to be reminded of every time I pull my lunch from it 😅....Is that mayo..?..
The question I have is why would you use only one bag for work and measure. I mean it makes sense to have more than one bag for that. You don’t want to get your work stuff and leasure stuff together you want a separate bag for that or backacpk. That would bee like carrying your brief case out for a beach day. I would you do that. Why not just have a brief case for work and a bag for leasure. I have 2 types of E.D.C. Bags and one is a duffel backpack. The other one is a convertible backpack. Those bags don’t go with me to work. They are for leasure. Now if I am going to wor, I have a backpack for that that is big, and or I use a brief case. Well, too it depends on the line of work that you do as well. Won’t argue that point. But with my line of work, I have a lot of brief cases and i have a choice to pick daily but using just one bag and having to switch your leasure stuff out to put your work stuff then changing back it doesn’t make sense. I have gear for every occasion. Stuff that is in my leasure bags, I keep in their. Stuff for work that I need I keep in my big commuter backpack or brief cases. What ever life throws, I am ready. It is a pain to have to switch from work to leasure for one bag. Just like iPhone cables. You don’t just want to have a set and then have to remember that you have to take your cable to work or to the beach. I have cables for at home and then a set up for on the go. It makes totally good sense to do it that way. I don’t think you want to take your beach items and use that in one bag and then come back from a beach trip and then have to take the same bag for work. That doesn’t make sense at all.
I love how thorough Maurice is in his reviews. I was, however, at the edge of my seat waiting for a NutSac joke.
Thank you for another clear & concise rl review. Love how you also included sections on how you use the bag for work & leisure.
I thought it was funny near the end of your video when you asked “If you’re not interested in a Messenger bag, I don’t know why you’re still watching” - I am one of those people. Still intrigued by your video and love this design, even though it’s not for me. You did a great job of showing it off.

100% luggage handle pass through would be key. I typically travel for work with a small carry on roller luggage and a messenger bag or backpack.
I like you detailed review. Others are just look-see types. Your reviews are much more meaty and detailed! Thank you.
I love that you tested the water resistance claims at least a bit.
Excellent review! You organize and articulate your thoughts remarkably clearly, extremely thorough but without wasting words.
Messenger bags are THE best bags!

Great review! Love the Logo, very cute 😊.
For Canvas bag Saddleback looks the best
Very well presented. I bought the 13" tac sac. Thanks!
I love this sort of heirloom quality gear 👍
Excellent review. Well thought out and explained. I love the decision tree idea.
I feel you on the back pocket, that molle strip works with my channel locks and oversized flat head driver
simple and perfect, i like the way you explain things
Thank you for sharing this solid content. Very informative and clear vid. Keep safe ❤🇨🇦✌
Excellent review. I truly enjoy my Domke F803 ruggedwear but certainly appreciated the quality of this presentation. Well done.👍🌟🌟🌟
Just FYI. You can buy molle pouches all day on Amazon for $15-$20. Nutsac’s pricing for their molle pouch is insane.
Tried a Nutsac satchel, but keep coming back to my Tom Bihn Co-pilot. For organisation, it cannot be beaten.

Thanks for the opportunity to experience and review it! It's still going strong as my daily bag and I don't see that changing 🙏
I only just discovered the Tacsac, and really appreciate this in-depth review. I think I will be getting one, soon. Thanks, Maurice.
Im far more rough with my bag. Which is why I love my NutSac. It takes a beating. My first month daily use made it look like I used it daily for five months straight. Grest Video, thank you very much. I like the NutSac a lot!!
You're amazing. I want this bag so bad now...
Wonderfully done review! Thank you!
EEEeeeexcellent review! I have been shopping around for tactical messenger/sling types that would work well for CCW and EDC with laptop etc. It was between the satchel 15 or the tacsac. This has made the choice easy.
Wonderfully comprehensive review. They should give commission
Great, thorough review! 👍🏼
You got me at kydex concealed carry holsters ❤️
NutSac? I had to double check it was not April 1st 😂
Special bond between a man and his nutsac

What color is this in? It doesn't seem to match anything currently on their site but I really like the color you have.
Great review, thank you. What were the metal double d rings called - saw it in the video but now can't find it. Thanks again.

As an engineering student I def need this bag! Lol
Great video, thank you. How did you get on with the transfer of wax onto your clothes?
Thanks, for the comprehensive review, I know it’s been a while since you reviewed this, however the one question I had was, will it stand? you can always have a sleeve sewed on the back for luggage handle to fit through
what about fiting headphones or an office headset ?
Awesome video! What about water bottle though? Do you ever carry one? I feel like the bigger bags without an option for water bottle are no-deal.
Incredible
😂 I’m not about using messenger bags but I enjoyed the video never the less 🤘
I’m thinking of getting a bag that is smaller than my Timbuk2 Command medium 2017 bag, this might be just it!
lol i cant believe ive entered the world of messenger bag reviews. tryna find the best one for me.
Love the bag but can’t decide on color. They all look different in the pictures, even in this video I’m not sure if you had the black and the brown or just the brown. Any advice would be helpful. Currently leaning towards the black but only if the leather sections are not too dark.
Great Video. Which size Tacsac u think will holld an iPad pro 12.9-inch ??
With these bag reviews I would like to see how it looks when worn (full body view).
Can i use this for college.
If not can i get a suggestion for college fashion side bags
Excelente reseña
Nice, looks like a less expensive, more useful Ona bag I got about 10 years ago.
Will that messenger bag be brought to go for school?
I’m not sure why I’m watching this review… my mind is already pretty much made up. I’m 90% sure that I’m buying one when we get back from South America. I guess I just enjoy this channel. 😅
Hi! Just discovered your chanel. Have you tried any of grams28 bags?
Looks like top grain leather to me.
Great video! Thanks! What's the chess set (and clock)? Do a chess video! :)
How do the back of bag attachment points for the strap compare with typical side of badge attachment points?
Great question, Frank - if this were a duffel, it’d be awful, but since it’s a messenger at less than 4” deep, it actually helps the bag sit flush against the body since the attachment points are now in-line with the back of the bag.
What’s that laptop sleeve?
Do you think 2 laptops can fit in the Tacac?
"...my most treasured EDC item that doesn't fit in my pockets..." Yes.
Why Two fountain pens ?
Cool review. but... what about your LUNCH? Kind of shocked you didn't show how it handles a square lunch box. For me, a commuter bag needs to hold food more than knick knacks.
Water field designs is superior
Dam I went and looked at the price for an Australian, $375’ laptop sleeve $149 shipping $113.23………. $622 😮😮😮 way over priced for us mere mortals. And there is no water bottle holder
A key strap
Nope RMU 35/50
They got to change that brand name though.
Nutsac 💀
A great bag, but as a woman, I just can't get over the name of the company ... 🤣
A pickockets dream
This looks like a great product I will never buy simply because of the company name. I don't ever want to say that company name when someone asks me where I got the product. It's expensive anyway, so I guess I still wouldn't buy it.
@@Taigokumaru Sucks for you. Sorry you have no sense of humor.

lol $400Aus..
NutSac? Why? possibly the only reason i wouldn't buy this
Nice review but I'd love to see more of the bag instead of someone's face the entire time during a review. I was interested in the bag.
Why are you carrying knives around?
Why don't you carry knives there are useful for all sorts of things general utility self-defense and they're just cool
very sus bag
Yeah, I'll not buy any product from this company
talk,talk,talk...10 minutes and no messenger bag!
Good review … but far too many visual, animated speech makes “”. Annoyingly so … so no subscribe.
The question I have is why would you use only one bag for work and measure. I mean it makes sense to have more than one bag for that.
