    Hey Jurijs, just a little aquascaping tip for fish that jump out: I had an acrylic frame made for the top of my tank. It's only a few centimetres wide with gaps cut in for all the equipment running into the tank. The top is still open, the acrylic frame is barely visible and I have never had a fish jump out since. They swim up the side of the glass and jump out. The thin frame at the top stops this. Hope you can try this in a future video? Much appreciation for all you do.
    Andy

    This is why you should have a lid on your tank whenever you have fish in your tank. Rimless tanks look better without them, but don't be surprised when your fish jumps out. I will no longer keep any fish without a lid, had to learn the hard way more than once.

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  Год назад

      As with many things in our life: design > function. I have had open top aquariums for many years and in my experience some species are more likely to jump out than others. I guess modern fish guides should include this kind of information along with water parameters and other requirements

  • @antemercep8844

    The wild lush look is gorgeous just so lovely you can relax in front of it for hours, its super natural. Its tiny bit shame that such lovely hardscape got completely lost but its still fantastic tank.
    Funny thing is that I am right now in process of setting up tank of same size for my 7 year old son. He wanted aquarium with betta fish and dinosaur bones as aquascape 😂😂
    So i spent lots of time gluing dragon stone together to get that crazy fantasy but still natural look. I got stuck as to what plants to use but this video really helped me a lot. Eleocharis mini is for sure going in👍
    Shame I can't really find phyllanthus flutans anywhere near me cause its just woow

    "although this is your Aquarium/Aquascape, it was Steve's home". I'm guessing Steve jumped ship cause you wouldn't let him decorate his home the way he wanted it! Lol! J/K.
    But I really do try to do my best to work around whatever rearrangement my fish make. In my 55 my Rainbow Kribs dug a huge cave. I fixed it back once, then my wife got on me and reminded me who's aquarium "home" it really was.

    Love your video as always. One question: my eliocharis mini in my scaper nano 55l from Denerlee is an algae aimant. I trim it and clean it regularly but algae are coming back. Do you believe I would get less issue if I replace it with Cuba or Monte Carlo? Please continue use to make us dreaming in front of your aquascape.... E. benötigen die flinken Kerlchen dann doch mehr Schwimmraum. Vielleicht hat nicht allein Steve the Scaper die Hühnchen auf dem Gewissen.
