Loved this scene :) And the series too. It took me a bit longer to go through S1, I kept getting distracted but S2.. When they intoduced Cara, damn my interests skyrocketed! I'm such a sucker for character types like Cara. The redemption ones that slowly become good again and learn more about themselves, on emotional levels. Their iron walls go down slowly but surely.. Throw in the awesome fighting and Caras brilliant sarcastic, sassy and dry humor and I am sold :P I always liked it most when Cara and Kahlan fought together. Using different weapons than the usual sword. Not to mention what opposites these two women are. Both in personality as powers. So dangerous for each other and like Cara said being trained to hate Confessors but then a friendship occurs and Cara is much more happy and herself and Kahlan also learns more and sees Cara as her friend. I just love that :3
If they made a Rated R version of this with lots of gratuitous sex and violence, then this series would still be on ... maybe even be bigger than Game of Thrones.
Because Cara, the woman with the red leather clothes, uses these wooden sticks to fight. If you don't know that it's a device that causes a lot of pain, it must seem a bit weird that the soldiers just die when she touches them with the sticks.
When she threw that dagger I was laughing so hard on the inside because I knew it would just bounce off him, if it even made the distance. It actually felling him made the scene just that much more comical.
No...she should have stepped through to the left, pivoting under his arm, and dragged her sword across his side instead of doing that horrible downwards circle motion. She practically _made_ him cut her in the leg. That being said...that ridiculous flappy coat/dress thing is seriously *_HOT!!!_* ;)
Two Leather bound medieval vixens with great skin care and shampooed, luxuriant hair out in the woods with no survival gear implausibly besting a dozen heavily armed men using a sword and two sex toys, without breaking a sweat. What's not to like?
That first bowman... "I shoot an arrow... but since it miss I will stand here like moron and see what they will possibly... ouch..." - receives knife to his chest. >.
Miss this show so much. :( Only Save Our Show campaign I've ever participated in. Rewatched it this summer, and still love it to bits. Shame it didn't last longer, one of the best fantasy shows I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot). And fans of the books, nobody cares if you don't like the show. SOT fans can have the books, LOTS fans can have the show, and never the twain need meet. Stop bitching.
I like the show, it encouraged me to buy the books in the first place, the only thing I have to "bitch" about is that richard gave his fucking han willingly to that bitch nicky... I he could have been the most powerful wizard in the world and he threw it away
+TimeandMonotony same here...still miss it badly :/ I have watched so many other fantasy shows but almost none are as good as LotS...can you maybe recommend me some, as you said you have seen a lot?! :)
Ever watch Supernatural? It's a show about two brothers hunting supernatural creatures i.e: demons, ghosts, vampires, etc. Angels have played a big role in the show as well. The four horsemen have come in a few times: War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death (who is by far the fan favorite). Last season the big man himself God finally made an appearance.
Andi M. Well, my favorite fantasy shows are Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies, Game of Thrones, LOTS and Haven, but there's tons! Merlin, Once Upon a Time, Galavant, Brimstone, '80s Beauty and the Beast, Being Human (both original and remake), The Vampire Diaries (and its spinoff, The Originals) come to mind! :)
I don't know why "The Legend of The Seeker" got cancelled two years ago!! This was the best show on CW11 Saturday night lineup. They need to put it back on the air and continue it's seasons. The show left off with an EXCELLENT Cliffhanger with Nicki turning from "Sister Of The Dark" to a "Mord'Sith". Now that was going to be good for Season 3. Nicki probably would been the strongest Mord'Sith ever because she would have her Sister Of the Dark powers combined with the Mord'Sith's.
how is this comment 11 years old and how am i still secretly hopping for a continuation sequel or reboot of something i know is not happening 😆 hope is so stupid man ...

The choice of actor to play Richard was horrifically wrong. Also the books were dark and the bad guys were REALLY bad. Netflix or HBO treatment would have been great.
So true. Besides some bad casting decisions and mediocre production, I was mostly disappointed that they targeted a younger audience (almost at Xena level) instead of staying true to the dark plot and writing of the source material. The book series wasn't meant for children, my brother took the first book away from me when I was twelve, that should tell people something because I was already reading Stephen King. At the time it was the best half of a book I've ever read and it only got better when I picked it up again at age fourteen. I once devoured one of the books in a seven hour long marathon through the night, sacrificing my whole sleep. I reread some of the books two or three times because they were that good. If this show was rebooted on HBO in a style similar to Westworld it could become one of the highest rated series. I hope they do it, but I think they'll have to wait until the last season of GoT is over.
This series predates HBO doing Game Of Thrones and any streaming service doing big budget Original Programming. All things considered...the show is well made for the format it was released in. Ahead of its time if you ask me, it would do exceptionally well if it were on TV now.
The American Archer first book alone, Kahlan makes child molester eat his own testicles. The effects of the ageils are more horrific. The little spoiled brat from the first season, that child princess, tortured Richard. Darken Rahl killed a boy but not before he corrupted him to the point that he hated his own mother. Richard was also raised by his biological mother along with his stepfather. That’s all I can remember at the moment. It’s been so long since I read the books.
The epic use of slo mo when that cut was made on her thigh is the stuff that fuels the sexual fantasy of pimple faced teenage boys with the level of sexual experience of a butt ugly boulder rumbling down a mountain side. (I should know. I was one of them!)
I do miss this show. By now ,after all the shows & movies produced there I imagine New Zealand as a country overrrun with armored , sword - wielding folk.
I fucking love woman weilding swords. Which reminds me why couldn't one of the seekers in history be a woman. A badass wonder woman/xena meets buffy type chick
brandon samuels In Wizard's First Rule, Zedd tell Kahlan that she would make a good Seeker. Her reply was "Me? A woman can be Seeker?" and Zedd replies "Of course. Some of the best Seekers have been women." The only previous Seeker you hear about is Samuel, and he hardly counts for he was not named by a wizard.
You've read far enough then. It becomes the same formula in every fucking book. Richard and Kahlan get separated and have to find each other, possibly something that causes them to question their love, sprinkle in some unknown relatives of Richard's. I lasted up until book eight and found it hard to believe they dragged out that story 15 books so far, as well as two other books set in the world.
For me, there was more to it than that so it didn't get old. I stopped reading after the supposed last book (the worlds split). After that point, it just seems to try to be milking a dry tit. My favorite book was by far when Nicci napped Richard and took him away. I thought it was an excellent defense of capitalism and personal responsibility.
So many directors using random slow motion everywhere. Everyone thinks they're the Wachowski brothers now, but without any real understanding of replicating how slo-mo worked in the Matrix.
No wonder you find them attractive. The woman on foot wears boots that Nancy Sinatra would pay an arm and a leg for. The woman riding a horse is showing enough cleavage to get her kicked out of a sailor's bar. They shave their legs, have absolutely no skin flaws in spite of being combat hardened veterans that only have a scratch to show for it, after wiping out a 20-30 men strong raiding party armed to the teeth. And oh my Gawd is that scratch worth looking at? Besides, nothing is sexier than selfconfidence, and they are two walking, talking, ass-kicking mountains of selfconfidence! (If only they weren't so god damn skinny, then they'd be HOT!)
To be exceptionally good att sword-fighting, or any kind of fighting ju must be willing to invest literally 1000 of hours in boring, yes b o r i n g repetive yes r e p e t e t i v e training - until your ready to phuke. Each and every fucking time. Theres simply no way around this - man or woman. But even that isnt enough, if elite-status against multiple opponents is your goal. you most probably must build on quite substantial amount inherent talent - and the very BEST athelic physique - both in terms of fitness, endurance and shere muscular strength. Technique alone simply isnt good enough. Theres a REASON why males and female never compete against each other in the Olympic-games, for example. Somehow these two slender-limbed, fasion-concious young ladies (around 25 perhaps) doesnt quite come across as "beliveable" and "convincing" enough to me. :-) But hell - its just a movie/a TV-show for crying out loud. Just entertainment.

Although not involved with showrunning and storylines, the actual production of Legend of the Seeker was done by Rob Tapert's New Zealand organization. Tapert was responsible for the Hercules and Xena series, and his company recently filmed the Spartacus series for Showtime
its from a tv series called "the legend of the seeker" wich ran for 2 seasons only before getting cancelled :( best show ever! you should try to watch it its realy good
I only saw the first season. They always had the best fight scenes. They were one of, If not THE first to use Hi Speed slow mo in their fight scenes. I see they picked up a Mord'Sith.

'best scene ever'
There's....just absolutely no arguing with that, really.
This show is still excellent and should have lasted longer.

MaximGhost Well the books are getting very close.
ThamesOrisis... If I remember correctly from the books she protects Richard and tortures people
MaximGhost rated x
With this action, and weak acting, there isn't enough gratuitous sex or violence in the world to save it.

it is XD

I think she's used to that downwards circle motion since she usually uses double daggers. Here, she uses Richard's long sword.
ever notice how girl armor barely covers anything? Not complaining though
It's not like armor is doing anything here. Apparently cutting through chain mail is no different than butter.

who needs a sword when you've got two sticks!!!
Every action movie, every horror movie and every superhero movie has the exact same kind of battle music and I grow weary of it!
The two most badass characters in the show.
If they want someone to play cat women it should be Cara. Her move is on point

I agree with you on Galadriel and Tauriel. They were awesome until they weren't. Which is a problem with many "badass" women.

Thanks man, will do. Looks like such a fun show!
Although not involved with showrunning and storylines, the actual production of Legend of the Seeker was done by Rob Tapert's New Zealand organization. Tapert was responsible for the Hercules and Xena series, and his company recently filmed the Spartacus series for Showtime
And they didn't even have the Truly Angry Sword.
Kahlan Amnell wielding the Sword of Truth is by far the best! Too bad this show didn't last longer.
They must've had pretty good cosmetics and top notch sewing machines back in the day.
With ONE maybe , but with both with P.M.S. those guys had NO CHANCE !
I like their medieval makeup and hair products
you forget just how much you miss women being badass with big swords until you see it in action
When she first pulled out those leather covered batons. I thought it was going to be a porno and not a fight scene.
It's a television series (only lasted for two seasons) called "Legend of the Seeker".
I clicked like before even watching it
its from a tv series called "the legend of the seeker" wich ran for 2 seasons only before getting cancelled :( best show ever! you should try to watch it its realy good
I only saw the first season. They always had the best fight scenes. They were one of, If not THE first to use Hi Speed slow mo in their fight scenes.
I see they picked up a Mord'Sith.
Man I used to love this show !!
When DC/Warners reboots the DCEU and tries again, and does a new Wonder Woman... Briget Reagan has to play Diana. She IS Wonder Woman.
"Xena! You used my scrolls!"
"Can we cook with your juices?"
i love that the title is short and has 3M views lmao
Blond is hot, but brunette is even hotter, especially with her natural red hair. That woman is real beauty, all mother nature,
not surgeons.
I just love realism on TV. Because this was OBVIOUSLY exactly how that would have went down. Exactly......
The brunette is stunning .
Man, I miss that show. It used to be on Netflix I think but it's been gone for a long while now... :(
This scene is one of the best, but I think Kahlan is hundred times more badass with her daggers.
Wow a fight scene where there is no blood spilled.
Never get on the bad sides of these two. One you might, MIGHT, get away. Anger both and you are doomed
This scene is funny at best, in a way of "it would only happen in someone's dream", that's pretty much it..
lol the most amazing thing about this scene is that she can actually pull the sword from her back^^
I can't comprehend why this show got cancelled...
Afterall it did have at least two major hotties...
I also used to love this stuff when I was 8 yrs old
I loved this show.
Battle dress, catsuit, and sticks vs. chainmails and longswords. The winner is obvious. :V
Legend of the Seeker Season 2 Episode 8 "Light". Great show!!!!
