I did not know that the mother confessor could be confessed and that she had the courage to kill Richard. But again she was not herself. She was under a spell.
Well the series is very different from the books,a confessor can not be confessed,and the han of a confessor can not be stolen partially,or without the confessor dyeing
@@alessandromoretti9706 but in the movie, the confessor's han got stolen, the mother confessor at that, and used against her. Sister Nicci took Richard's powers, the first true wizard in 3000 years, and with it, she wrecked havoc on the world. For me, that was Richard's greatest mistake, giving out his powers.
@@idongesitu_1_imuk it doesn't really matter,the series is beautiful,but it is nothing like the books,and magic is different to,in the books the magic of wizards,the gift,can not be taken away without killing the wizard,the same thing appens to confessors,their han can not be taken away.
The only way to take the gift of somebody else is to use the quillion,or to skin the wizard alive,however only a wizard can take the han of another wizard,and the same rule is applied for the enchantresses,like the sisters of the light.
There is only one exeption to this rule,in fact in the book the sisters of darkness use the quillion conbined with a ritual to absorb the han of some wizards that they killed,because in the books enchantresses are weaker than wizards,it is said that wizards can do more things with their han and their magic in combat is stronger

The only thing I don’t get is that confession causes pain and agony to mord sith and eventually die, but when they are confessed under the condar they aren’t in pain… unless the writers just forgot about that detail

The first season was bad, but the second season was when the show drowned in the mud...
1st - Richard was never forced by Shota to go to the underworld to saved Zedd.
2nd - Shota was a b.... but only once she intervened in Richard's mission by covering Kahlan in snakes of which she is paralyzingly afraid.
3rd - The guardian of the underworld was never a child, we never get a description of his face in the books.
4th - Darken Rahl has nothing to do with Nicci.
5th - How the hell Nicci appeared here, when she only appears in the FOURTH book and where is Jagang, her master until the second half of the sixth book?
6th - Richard's half sister only appears in the SEVENTH book of the series.
7th - No one in the palace threaten Kahlan until her first visit
8th - Kahlan doesn't come to the palace to rescue Richard, it's the other way around when Jagang's loyalists kidnapp her.
9th - The Blood rage was not brought forth by some mad scientist, it was Kahlan's unspoken feelings for Richard and her fear of loosing him that unleashed her secret powers.
10th - Kahlan never used her powers on Nicci.
11th - Nicci is Richard's and Kahlan's most loyal friend, because she truly believes in their fight.
And finally...
12th - Richard NEVER called Kahlan a Wench, he would never do that...

In the first season there is a scene that perfectly show the debacle this series was:
The first thing Richard noticed about Kahlan was not her bosom, nor her figure, it was the way she carried herself and especially her eyes!!!!!
... so other than that, it was true to the book? 😅
That's right ! The show ( which i like in a way) and the books are very different.
The timeline is all messed up in the show, some interactions never happen in the books, the show is very vanilla compared to the books which have a lot of gruesome scenes and details.
I would like a new show which respect the saga ( with Jagang for example, i would love seiing the battle between the young soldiers of ebinissia and the order's butchers and kahlan all painted in white ).

On your 3rd, it was explained in the movie that The Keeper needed a host so he chose the little boy cos Richard will be unsuspicious of him.
