      Hello Miss Lynn,
Yes ma'm, it was a tuckering out sort of day around here on the farm as well, among other things, I hilled (hand raked) two long rows totalling about 440' lineal feet of potatoes, one of those annual chores I just don't look forward to, but am so glad it's over... sore back!

@@steveharrington2175 Well, if anyone deserves a rest, it sure is you! “That” is a really hard spate of work, and I appreciate how hard that was, being raised on a farm! I guess in the “olden days” your sore muscles would have been well rubbed down. You always seem very appreciative of the amount of hard work it takes to really garden and you don’t grouse about it - especially since it sounds as though what you do is for your livelihood ! But it is good, honest work that one can be proud of. I remember my first mother-in-law, a good stout 2nd generation German woman who worked on an 8 acre farm of theirs. ( I am 50% Irish, I got the red hair/blue eyes, and 50% German). At 69, she could out-hoe me for hours, and I was astonished, since I grew up use to working hard, as well. You’ll have to try some A-535 or some other liniment. Sleep well, and pleasant dreams - you deserve them! 🥱☺

Having arrived on 6/15/23 from somewheres in N'west WI, I just remembered it was 43 years and 3 days ago while stationed @Ft Lewis in WA state that Mount St Helens erupted for the 2nd time and OTR radio (or RTR Recent Time Radio) was playing nightly...and that 10 mile high plume of ash was a fitting view from barracks room #212 of Hdqtrs Company as I dialed in an AM station out of Seattle.
Thanx for the reminder memory Mr Nightfall, those were some life defining times. Does anyone else remember where they were on those 1st and 2nd cataclysmic eruptions in May and June 1980.
Gnite all, and may the view be with you.

Great story! But there was a way to prove Len Brock’s true identity...fingerprints! He had served in the Navy. Washington would have his fingerprints, thereby proving who he truly was.
