I think Tashi is both sides of them combined in one person, which is why she is both the superior athlete and why they only work together, she needs both of them
They all need in each other in a way. They all bring out certain aspects of each other and competitiveness. I feel like Tashi loved them both at certain points in time, but overall Tashi loved them as much as her heart would allow, becayse tennis was her one true love. it was ripped away from her too early
@@birdiewolf3497she does but Patrick lacks discipline. She favored Art more because he was receptive. Art lacked confidence in his skills, wherein Patrick had that fire hence the “fire and ice”. Patrick and Tashi didn’t work and it’s said in the original script, “ice you can build with, fire and fire burns shit down.” So Patrick being fire is what irritated Tashi, he always felt ahead when he really wasn’t.
@@birdiewolf3497 i think she did like him as a player, but there was some things he could've did better on which is what she tried to do, but he didn't want her help
No one won because the film ended. But the point from the tie break went to Patrick because Art touched the net. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter who won because they are all finally satisfied and are back to who they were at the hotel room scene. They are a throuple. Tashi is the tennis ball, Art and Patrick are the competitors. Like Tashi said earlier in the film tennis is a relationship and how she and her competitor understood each other for 15 seconds and how it was like they were in love. That’s what Art and Patrick were during their match, lovers but so is Tashi. She’s included because she’s the tennis ball, in the first set Patrick won and in the past she dated Patrick first. In the second set, Art won and she ended up marrying him. In the third set there’s no winner but they are all together. The grunts from Art and Patrick are the moans and Tashi’s “come on!!” yell is the climax. Another fun fact is that my friend told me how Art’s technique before he fell onto Patrick’s arms is called “Smash” (very convenient if you ask me tbh 😂).
@@blueshoes5145 the script said Tashi was the ball too (I read it after the film) and the way it was structured just made sense. In the end they’re having a threesome metaphorically through tennis. This movie is so good. Zendaya is incredible, no denying it, and the love triangle had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. This whole thing was insane.
The way I lived for Zendaya's villainy. Had those boys at the palm of her hand. We need more stylish films on women's wrongs. Also the soundtrack lives in my head rent free. Had me feeling like I was in the club
I feel like the point of this relationship was that they are all better when they are together/ when their relationship is poly. They play the best tennis, they have the most passion and respect for one another when they dont fit into any box
that last scene really is everything!!! tashi saying that playing tennis is like a relationship and screaming at the end of her match bc of that earlier... and then patrick and art playing real "good fucking tennis" and tashi screaming once again after years.... all three of them in a relationship!!!
Josh O'connor (Patrick) was in Emma as the priest and in The crown as prince Charles. he's the " I care about her. morning, noon and night I care about her" guy
this movie leaves a lot up for interpretation but I think Tashi cares so much about tennis cuz she mentions in the movie that she didn't grow up with money and it's said how she's making her family millionaires, i think her parents may have influenced and pushed tennis on her growing up which led to her being the breadwinner of the family and a person being so young and so loved and celebrated for something i think causes her to find confidence, security, and comfort in tennis
I think that it's hilarious that all three Spidermen have been in war films (Brothers, Hacksaw Ridge, Cherry), and their love interests have starred in Tennis themed movies.
I think Art really got in her head about Patrick, not that she was only about tennis. When Pat had the argument before her career ending injury, she was hurt and she built up a wall with tennis in that argument. If she didn’t care, she wouldn’t have lost her cool and played the way she did and got that knee injury. Is she passionate about tennis? Absolutely, but that is also what bonds them together. When she got with Art, it wasn’t solely about living vicariously through his success. She did kiss Art first and rooted for him to win Patrick/her number when they were younger. She also had unresolved feelings for Patrick, and drunk, when she messed around with him in Atlanta years earlier. While she did get that great tennis playing from her “white boys,” she was also cheering them on because they rekindled their love for each other and for the game. Each are toxic people, but I don’t think any of them out toxic one another.
I literally saw this 5 times in theaters and let me tell you, it gets better every damn time! also it was a tie break, in tennis technically art wouldn’t have won because he touched the net, so we don’t know who ACTUALLY won the match.
I think Art won bc of how happy Tashi was. I don't think she wanted to leave Art considering she asked Patrick to lose on purpose. But like Patrick said, just giving Art the win is the worst thing she could do to him. So Patrick gave him a chance to win on his own after they tied. And not only was that good for Art, Tashi also got to see a great tennis game. And she actually had to start looking back and forth instead of just at Art!
THROUPLE ENDGAME [REAL]🥳🙌 Btw Josh O’Connor, who plays Patrick, actually starred in one of the most poignant queer films I’ve ever watched called *God’s Own Country* and I’m dying for you to react to it! There’s an amazing quality of realism & the visuals are captivating. It’s set in Yorkshire, UK and written & directed by Francis Lee who’s from Yorkshire. The actors were trained on farms for weeks before they started shooting so that all the scenes could really be performed with accuracy.
Ooh! Great suggestion for a reaction. "God's Own Country" is an incredible film. So intense, well acted, amazing cinematography... the list goes on. I think Chu would love it!
Great reaction. Winning didnt matter, good tennis did. The ball represent Tashi, each time a set was won shows a flashback of who she was with. Now, its just great tennis, hence her scream
This movie is soooo good. I saw it in the movies and I need to see it again. I need more of this throuple 🔥🥵 the soundtrack, the acting, the cinematography, the energy Tashi is HER
I've seen this film like 4 times in the theater and it just gets better and better. I swear this is probably the best written love triangle I've seen since the favourite. If they just became a throuple none of this mess would've happened.
They all won at the end. Tashi won by seeing some good tennis. Art won as the amazing tennis player he is but never had confidence about, AND won against Patrick, which is the theme for him throughout because Patrick is always winning AND when Art was practicing in Uni, his coach kept saying more aggression which he got from learning about Patrick and Tashi. Patrick won by getting his friend back and choosing to value their friendship before winning (he drops his racket to catch Art which is a parallel to when Art picked Patrick up when he hit the winning shot as they were playing together as Fire and Ice). This is the coolest movie everrrrrrrr
Since you like Patrick (the actor is josh o'connor), I recommend you watch ‘gods own country’, it’s like the British version of ‘call me by your name’. It’s super underrated and he’s amazing in that movie!!!!
The ending is left ambiguous and for good reason. A tie break is basically a game first to seven. At the end there, patrick won one game because art went over the net, but we don't actually know who ended up winning. But the film makes it clear that tashi got what she wanted (for art to play though her and give her some good fucking tennis lol), and patrick and art made up (which I think happened the moment they smiled at each other). I'd like to think tashi stayed with art after with patrick losing on purpose now that he knows he has his friend back and art's daughter doesnt get screwed over the whole thing lol. Great reaction though, love how you picked up on things. You've earned a new subscriber!!
Art and Patrick have some much chemistry between them than any other pairing. Tashi had better chemistry with her husband Art than with Patrick. But I think she preferred how Patrick didn’t let his tennis performance affect his self confidence.

I love the end because the boys were finally friends again (Patrick confessed with the signature move to Art that Tashi and him had sex) and Art finally smiled to his friend and enjoyed playing tennis with each other, a call back to the scene where Patrick was hurt when he said he's to grown-up for that. And Tashi finally saw some good fucking tennis!!!!
