IKR! I've loved this movie since I was a teenager but he irk's me to no end. Like I know he think's she's a kid but he wasn't even willing to consider a behavioral issue. And even if you look past that if you were this concerned about your wife's behavior . . . He was so resentful and quick to demonize her. Also like this child who, if you believe the history, is horrifically traumatized but she is 100% flawless? That's harmful to the kid. I really tried to meet him halfway. Refusing to believe the nun was strike 1, ignoring changes in kids behavior was strike 2. Completely overlooking the fire . . . Strike 3.
The husband has to be the shittiest one I’ve ever seen in a horror series. Like wow. You cheat, you gaslight and you don’t believe your wife for even a second. Wow. Just wow. I like to believe she left him in the end but eh
I shed no tears for the husband. He had what was coming to him. I truly believe he hated his wife and would do anything (like take sides with Esther all the time) just to make her suffer.
Lmao I was getting heated because Max is deaf yet her and her brother still got caught talking about Esther, like just use sign language, why are you talking??
There had to be a better way for them to get Esther to find out that they're onto her. How in the hell you not gon' sign when that's her most used method of communication, and prolly her most comfortable? 😤
omg "The evil Villian always drinking milk".. how spot on that is!! lol. A certain movie comes to mind but I won't mention it in case you haven't seen it yet. Although by the time you got to that part in the movie you'd already know. anyway I'll shut up lol but that remark was too spot on
I rarely see anyone reacting to this movie on RUclips and the fact that you’re doing it just truly made my night! I just knew I’d die from your reaction of this insane movie 🍿 😂
Yes this exactly!! I had to turn notifications on because I couldn’t miss this reaction! Not disappointed at all. I was 12 years old and obsessed with this movie lol so twisted!
This movie used to be one of my favorites when I was young, the plot twist was so unexpected and honestly left me kinda traumatized, but I'd still watched everytime I had the chance 😂😂😂 I don't know if you watched "Obsessed" with Beyonce, but I saw it these days again and I thought it would be a nice movie to react to! Love your videos, take care 💓
I actually lowkey kinda rooted for Esther throughout this whole film just because I was so entranced with how the actress was absolutely killing the conniving child role. Like Isabella Fuhrman was 12 yrs old at the time when she filmed this and she ate her role and left no crumbs.
Orphan is one of the greatest psychological horror movies of all time. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and themes. The tone and element was scary, creepy, spooky, eerie, dark, gritty, urban, and gothic which works perfectly for the movie. That twist still gives me chills and goosebumps. 😰😱 Isabelle Fuhrman did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Esther Coleman as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍
Congrats on 10k!!!!! The husband could have avoided all of that if he listened just one time. The second I caught her playing that piano she would have been gone.
With kids in the foster care system etc often they would want to lock the bathroom door and stuff because they have experienced sexual abuse in the past. (obviously not the case in this film but just saying). Anyway, so glad i found your channel i don't think i have genuinely laughed at a RUclipsr's videos like this in ages, this was my favorite horror film when i was younger as well so love to see someone reacting to it.
Even without sexual abuse, a child needs some type of privacy. She appeared old enough to not need assistance in the bathroom and if you are afraid she’ll get hurt then you can knock and have a key in case of emergencies. Especially a child who is new to the family, she doesn’t have that bond of “well my family bathed me / I was bathed with my siblings” so why wouldn’t she locked the door. Idk, it seemed very logical for her to lock the door and the fact that this lady thought she could tell her that she shouldn’t when she’s in a house with two guys she barely knows (cuz even without sexual abuse, it would still very awkward and embarrassing if ye brother or dad accidentally walked in)
I think the writers said that Esther was sexually abused in the past by her father, which is how she developed her obsession with "winning over dad" in families. Nice observation on your part.
First time I watched this I was like twelve and halfway I looked to my mom and went “what if the girl had that thing where she’s actually a grown woman” and then right when the dude said it I was like “BAM”

Pentagon you that is going to be an orphan 3 coming out I don't know what day when it's going to be released but it's just been revealed go crack on Google right now cos I'm not lying
There's supposed to be a sequel now that the girl who plays Esther is an adult but I haven't heard anything else about it for years besides the actress announcing we were getting a sequel. So idk if it's still going to come out.

"Phenomenal reaction" and dialogue (I just joined your channel fam). I LOVE THIS MOVIE. This is one of those horror films that caught everyone off guard with how good it turned out to be (Amazing script, great acting, awesome cinematography) - And it just gets better with time.
You should give the movie "The Uninvited" from 2009 a try. I believe its an American remake of a Korean horror movie. As a teenager, I loved it and to this day I think about that movie. As always, love your videos
There's something so likable about this little homewrecker. XD She's the smartest one in this whole family! I also love how mad you got, and I love your accent as you did so! You roasted the whole cast good!

Have you ever watched this movie on dvd? There’s an adoption commercial on it with the rest of the previews. lol they make it a point to say that the orphan is based on fictional characters not real children. Then go on to tell you how there are so many “real” kids out there waiting to be adopted.

Great view ❤️❤️. I think kids bully all over not just in American. That boy said the R word just like Maddy in Euphoria was saying it Regina George from Mean girls said it too.
The husband in this movie upset me more than the actual villain

This.
I love this movie so much, but John pisses me off so bad! 😂
I was rooting for Esther the whole way through but Vera did amazing!
Yeah she is really good. You ever watch that show about Norman Bates? She was his mom. Also, again, John sucks.
God the husband in this movie is one of the most infuriating characters in the whole horror movie universe, his death scene had me clapping n shit💀
It's confirmed he cheated on is wife if he knew esther was an adult he would have fucked her
I shed none for the wife, either. I mean, come on... she's an alcoholic who didn't give him the time of day. The cheating was inevitable.
He was weird too. He gave me bad vibes
Being an alcoholic is a disease, you shouldn't be so judgmental
AND there is no excuse for cheating, you leave the person
Isabelle deserved an Oscar nom for this roll, I mean, She perfectly being a little girl played a woman playing a girl, that's talent
Keiser diaz
So true - Facts!
I am in actual tears from laughing so hard lmfaoooo when Esther said “I know they fuck” the pure shock on your face, I can’t 😭😭😭
“I like this girl” lmfaoooo same
No I like “oh no you don’t break the girl leg she’s evil” and then the boy calls her rtard and “Oh no don’t say that break his leg next” lol
Lmao I was getting heated because Max is deaf yet her and her brother still got caught talking about Esther, like just use sign language, why are you talking??
You're right it is really dumb way to say out loud when devil is right here at the door. Max's bother should whisper less louder.
Well tbf people who aren’t deaf usually have to speak while doing it to keep remembering
It's implied that Daniel isn't very good at sign language, hence why he only signs certain words while speaking
Daniel doesn't know a lot of sign language but Max can read lips well
There had to be a better way for them to get Esther to find out that they're onto her. How in the hell you not gon' sign when that's her most used method of communication, and prolly her most comfortable? 😤

The picking the memorial flowers thing absolutely chilled me to the bone. That’s what solidified it for me that that lady was certifiable,
I didn’t realize it until now but the art style she was painting is literally from an artist that was very very troubled, Especially the lioness one
Which artist is it?
Who’s the artist?
Henri Rousseau?
Congrats on 10k!!!!! The husband could have avoided all of that if he listened just one time. The second I caught her playing that piano she would have been gone.
