I saw the video number one in Britain, I think you're channel is the best rc channel period you're informative honest about the products you always give the vehicles a proper test and it was your channel that got me to order my first crawler and I'm in the middle of building my indoor crawler course wich will make me the only guy in my town that has one so can't wait to see you reach #1 in the United States, I have a couple of nieghbors that are interested in the crawler hobby and your channel is the only one I recommended to them so crawl on keep it up and if I didn't have to pay to have the electric rewired throughout my house I would be saving this awsome truck so thanx a bunch for not being that loud obnoxious guy who acts like a 12 year old I think you know who I'm talking about
Once again I´m astonished by your uncanny skill at simultaneous driving and recording. This truck is utterly beautiful and I agree that the poor old rear prop UJ looks to be operating at a much kinder angle as a result of the increase in wheelbase.
Looks great!! I’m still learning about electronics. I know I need a new servo but I don’t know what size/power I should get. You’re the WPL king so I figured you’d be the one to ask. Keep it up. Love the videos.
Doesn’t the kit come with a servo and an engine with the gearbox? I thought that you only need to add batteries and electronics like controller, receiver and the electronic main card ( I dunno if that is called this way I’m not English)
@Tomley RC Not a massive fan of the wheels on the c44 km. Is there something with a little more sidewall structure but decent grip that you know of that fits the truckStruggling to find anything. Thanks for the vids
Holker don't be surprised if they DO somehow manage to release kit version of this one for 75-80 bucks. they've re-tooled for the metal gears, aluminum axle casings, the frame is a simple+single stamping... RTR with sound might be 35-40 bucks more is how I'd ballpark estimate them. been upgrading my older all plastics WPL's and the MN-D90, hasn't been really expensive. the newer C-14 kits have been STILL 32-35 bucks (eBay), now have brass bevel gears in the axles and a B-36 tan gearbox with 180 motor for great crawling torque. the plastic 4 link suspension arms are plenty good, just need to drop 7-8 bucks for the metal drive shafts to install. plastics version kit of this may be similar and 40-50 bucks to start with.
I was looking at the WPL's for awhile now and like them but wasn't sure which to get. Now I know which 1 I'm getting when it comes out 😎👍. I especially love the color,it goes perfectly for this rig
@@TomleyRC That's really good to hear, thanx. 😎👍. They're were several models I like but bein an FJ fan this version is a must have for me. Great video as always
That sound kit doesnt sound right on a light duty pickup. I think they are ment for the military trucks. I would like to see a engine sound kit for the regular trucks though, maybe a modified diesel sound with lots of turbo noise like the extream winch trucks.
the 6 spoke Fayee rims+tires (5-6 bucks) do add 1/2 to 9/16 of width, have sets on C-14 and MN-D90 look really nice, and help a lot too not side tipping as easy.
Another question. I ordered the diesel sound kit and the board I received doesn’t look like the pic in the sales add or the schematic they sent with it. Can you take a pic of the sound board. I want to make sure I received the right one. My rc is still in the mail. No way to test it. How do I tell if I received the 2 generation diesel sound The board they sent looks different that in the pictures online. Thanks.
Tomley RC Garage I followed up with WPL. And they said I have the correct board it is just a later. Version the supplier keeps changing up the layout but it is a gen 2 board. I’m all good AliExpress.
2:14 hey there C34 with wider Fayee rims+tires painted black, that extra width sure nice! mentioning again: slice off inner tire beads of another set of WPL rims, sand mating surface flat and CA to the outsides for new stock "deep dish" rims, very nice, does good things for the tires too (flex, traction, stays on rims, extra 6mm total width). really like the look of the "popsicle stick flatbed", aluminum axle casings, metal links and shafts, spare tire under the bed and more. some oil damping would sure be nice since they're going all out with it. edit: in other replies here, shared some tips/tricks for stock WPL type shocks that do some really nice things for damping and flex, maybe worth a look for :)
Nice one! Been thinking about getting a C34 and modding it to that style... might still have to go that route because I suspect the new one will cost quite a bit more for a while. That color sure looks nice.
anything rc I’d still take a scx24 over one of these. At least then if you buy it you can go and crawl with it. I’m into my WPL for 175$ and there is still weak points all over that keep me from taking it out onto an actual crawler track.

looks like same stock WPL shocks etc. modded a set using M3 50mm half threaded hex cap screws, cut to leave 5/16 the threads, grind hex caps to diameter fitting the shock bodies gaining about 4.5 mm length over the stock M4 diameter shock rods. trim springs ends with a cutoff wheel for the cap screw heads being thicker, gains some negative suspension travel making more+easier flex/twist. another reply here is "how to" for friction damping.
