The lower the level, the less Prime Crystal you get when you knock it down Below level 35 you get 2-3 prime crystals above 40-45 4-6 Prime crystals 80+ 7-11 Prime Crystals
Alpha of course give way more. lvl 110 gave me 52 crystals and if I understand right, alphas level also affect how many crystal you can get. (someone who knows more can maybe correct me, I found and killed only 1 alpha wyvern but heard alpha level also affect how many crystals you can get.)

From what I have seen from testing on official the eggs are dropped by the heirs but the eggs hatch a standard crystal wyvern and the babies eat primal crystals but in saying that I have not fully raised a baby yet so it could be like a reaper and it transforms at the adult stage.
Just started a new journey on Crystal after finding out about the passive drakes. Didn't know about the heir wyvern area....flying near the cave 2 of them just flew at me from in the ground. Scared the dog shit out of me 😂
That area with the beavers is where my 1st base was built. It was really safe, and had an abundance of supplies. Those beaver dams allowed me to build up a very nice stash of cement paste before I could even use it. Now I have way more than I need with an ability to get more.
I got a 234 Blood Crystal Heir Wyvern egg yesterday and when I hatched it today I got triplet just plain Blood Crystal Wyverns. Though, have to say, not gonna find 234s regular ones...so guess it's a way of getting higher level ones. Unless it's a bug, and they are supposed to also be Heirs....
I was gonna say, those things appeared about as fast as I remember them being when it was still a mod, so if that's the case then you're gonna need something super fast to run that area.

Primal crystals you can get more from higher levels. To tame the wyverns I recomend going onto their back because after the 1st feed it takes of, and if you run out of primal crystals you can feed them normal crystals but it goes up like 3-4% taming and if you continue taming with normal crystals at some point the taming will start to go down. I hope this helps.
the ember wyvern is the strongest one, because its ability turns its fire blue and increases the damage, but the tropical one its the one with the best burn damage, and the blood just have the ability to cure him self
Probably too late but it's better for wyvern milk and primal crystal to tranq them and harvest. Killing alpha does yield them though if you prefer to kill than to tranq.

Syntac, The higher the level they wyvern, the more crystals you can harvest from them. Knocking them out is the only way to get primal crystal.

Fun fact: You can get eggs like 210s even in Vanilla ark on regular settings. Their so rare though their almost impossible to get.
This is why I only use creatures that I bred up so they are disposable.
