They are faster and with much tighter turning ability then original wyverns. While all their other stats are lower compared to normal wyverns speed is the only stat that cannot be leveled on fliers making it much more valuable overall. On top of all that crystal wyverns are breedable meaning they can get far, far stronger then Scorched Wyverns given effort. These more or less render the original wyverns obsolete if you ask me.

Abilities are sick i just wish they used different designs for them instead of just a re skin of the regular wyverns like they couldve made the blue crystal wyvern amphibious and gave it the ability to swim and do steam breath underwater or something or maybe even plasma the slows down aquatic creatures so you can tame easier

Remember when I got a Poison Wyvern that would do like 3000 damage per poison attack took a lot of melee investments to boost it that high. It was awesome, being it had very long range as well. People often say it's the worst Wyvern and I have to agree definitely vs air targets. But man vs ground pounders that Poison is godly just because of it's long range attacks. I got really good at hitting targets from long range with it. xD
@@cameronjameson2878 DPM isn't everything honestly. Even in PVP a Poison Wyvern can deny access to entire sections of enemy's own bases as it's attack lingers. So it can 'snipe' and 'suppress' in PVP. PVE it again can just hover and snipe as well while it's attack can AOE, give it only the enemy that is directly hit takes full damage but the rest still take damage, and on top of that suffer a poison effect similar to bleed. Sure it doesn't do as much DPM but does it really matter? It is definitely a useful Wyvern to have even if it's not the most powerful. I found a max level one on Scorch during my run through the game which I decided to finish each map solo, ie bosses on alpha difficulty including overseer etc. I used it for literally everything and I had no complaints. xD

You can't tame the heirs. You can only steal the eggs they lay, which hatch into the normal versions of the wyverns. The only benefit is that the Heir's can spawn at levels much higher than the max level of wild Crystal Wyverns.
I'm trying to get different colors on them but the wings seem to only change slightly but I'm on solo play with all ratings boosted till internet gets installed tommorow

On Crystal Isles it's the best to make a base on the left dowm corner closer to other biomes, it won't be far from other biomes and secure as long as you don't lure a wild wivern there...
@@thomasdavis2165 no no, passive tamed will only have the stats they finished taming with. Hatched/raised will mirror the wild parent stats exactly but they get a bonus to the stats if you do the periodic imprint on them while they're growing. Depending on how much you imprint they'll get more bonus stats, so you always want the hatched ones over the wild. That's why breeding is important (not sure you can breed the crystal wyvs on official). When you breed things you have a higher chance of passing on the best stats. Say daddy wyv has 20 points in melee and 30 in carry weight, mommy wyv has 30 melee and 20 carry, you have a decent chance the baby will have 30 melee and 30 carry. That's not including chance of the baby having a mutation, which can give extra points into stats and interesting color changes, and then the imprint on top of that.
I am legitimately disappointed at how inferior the tropical and blood wyverns are to the ember. The ember wyvern just cranks out such an insane amount of damage compared to the other two that there is simply no reason not to always favor it, particularly considering the fact that its breath weapon also has longer range.
Yup, wildcard takes popular mods and sponsors them, as in they provide support for it and integrate the mods unique things into the main series. Many can, or will be able to, (force) spawn in the wyverns on any map because it will be in the normal code for all players to use.

Lightning still outclasses, insane DPS if points are pt into it. Could burn down anything in seconds
