- Tom Winters Barbers in Cork is your shop for a relaxing unrushed traditional barbering experience. Take some time to disconnect from all your worries in the world with a haircut or hot towel shave to bring you back to life and ready to take on the remainder of your day.
Haircut with Lorenzo Piras. Cut with the natural flow of the hair so hair falls naturally. Faded back and sides with a taper. Manageable for everyday without too much effort and at the same time, nice looking and a nice style.
Lorenzo grew up in Sardinia and comes from a family of hairdressers. His mom and stepdad worked as teachers in a prominent hairdressing school, and they taught him everything.
A couple years ago, Lorenzo felt he needed a change and made the decision to move to Ireland where his girlfriend was living 🇮🇪 Barely in the country for a week and with limited English, Lorenzo stopped by Tom Winters Barbers seeking a haircut.
The shop was booked out for months so Lorenzo was turned away by owner and barber Stephen Winters.
Later that day, Stephen realized why Lorenzo had looked so familiar as he had seen his work on social media. Stephen quickly reached out to Lorenzo and when he found out Lorenzo had moved to Cork, he invited him back over… Not for a haircut but a job!
Lorenzo has been a fixture for over two years now at Tom Winters Barbers! When customers are in his chair, he wants them to feel full of trust, safe, and relaxed. Lorenzo says he wants to give customers “the same experience I would love to have if I was a customer myself.”💈❤️
Lorenzo is very thankful to his family and girlfriend for their love, support, and staying by his side. He is also "thankful to Stephen for the opportunity and the trust he gave me and for the future we're building together in Tom Winters Barbers."
Opened in 2017 by Stephen Winters. The shop took Stephen a year to complete the buildout and included laying salvaged wood flooring from an old convent and reclaimed bricks from an old industrial chimney in Belfast. Both blend well and give the shop that rich texture and depth that only old materials can. Along with the handpicked antiques, the space has a warm and cozy atmosphere.

I've always said it takes a lot of guts to tell a barber "You can do whatever you want." However, a barber would be much more objective about what kind of haircut would look good on a customer. Always laugh when I guy walks into a barbershop with a picture of some movie star and says "I want my hair cut like Brad Pitt."
I am so lucky this is my regular barber. Lorenzo is a master craftsman when it comes to cutting hair. I literally just ask him to do whatever he feels would look good on me and it always does look good, amazing in fact. Stephen likewise. These guys are gentlemen.
These last two videos from Cork raise the bar for content here and should be the new gold standard, thank you. Shops like this, with dapper and professional barbers are my favorite.
I thought the same. I'm not easily impressed, but if I'm ever in Ireland I will absolutely have to check this place out.
I had to tell you that your vids are an escape from the stress and angst of everyday life. Not once...while watching...did i worry, or labor over, and contemplate the rigors of society. Thanks Harry as always. (and give my regards to the mystery lady.)

I like the fact that these barbers don't talk while cutting the customers hair. I used to hate when the barber would talk my ear off.
I actually enjoy talking to them during the service 😂

Love the end, around 1:14:50, the Barber really enjoyed the result of his own work and the the customers compliment. He had this smile of real happiness 🙏

I have to admire these barbers' ability to just think of a haircut to do on Harry when he's says "Do whatever you want.". Like I can't even decide what I want to have for breakfast, and I have the same thing every morning.

This is a Master Class in the art and skill of a true professional barber. Without a doubt, this video ranks in the top 5 of your barber hall of fame. This gentleman may be the GOAT in his profession.
However, as an ASMR video it falls short. I was so amazed at his technique, attention to detail, and showmanship that I kept fighting to stay awake and see what was next! 😄

I always come back to this one. Great sounds, I like that he’s cutting the hair a good amount of the time, it’s super long which is a bonus, and he does satisfying cuts. I was beginning to wonder just how much one could work the sideburns and over the ears... but it's the "big picture", as they say, that counts. That would be the end result, a nice, leisurely haircut. The relaxed look in Harry's eyes tells the story. I think he performs a public service for those of us in small communities with limited barber services (and skill), allowing a vicarious enjoyment of high class cuts & shaves. I know I'm going to give in eventually, and make the trip to a classy shop for the experience. Thanks, Harry.
