Could you please do a slow-mo and zoom in with different angles when doing your pomp in general ( not the part buy the pomp it's self) please I'd appreciate it
Thanks bro, just watched about an hour of ur reviews trying to find the right pomade for me n just ordered this one based on ur review. U got another subscriber. Will also buy ur shirt bra!
I used both Suavecito Firme and Layrite Super Hold and I prefer Suavecito Firme only because in higher degree weather Layrite would fail to work and my hair would look as if no product was applied and wouldn't hold
+David La its funny i actually experienced the same thing when i started using it. It stopped after about the third application. Maybe hair gets used to the product? Otherwise maybe use a bit less?
My technique with water based pomades is starting off with wet hair, putting it in, blow drying just a little bit until it's damp, then applying a bit more as a topper, and fixing it up. Doesn't harden up at all and is soft with good hold
I'm trying to find a REALLY strong HD pomade for my hair. I don't actually do a pomp, I style my hair in the classic greaser elephants trunk style. When you get it right it looks brilliant but I find that before the day is over my hair falls to pieces and if there is a gist of wind it's ruined. Anyone recommend a nice strong hold pomade that can last? I use suavecito firm HD so please don't recommend that 😂 thanks
uppercut deluxe. spread it throughout hair, add a tat bit of water, and spread it more evenly, comb it with water, once it's dry (which is really fast) it'll last all day.
I use supershine and my hair is much shorter than his but also very thick. I'm watching this video to see if for a similar haircut I should get Superhold now because I'm growing it out a little longer and also when it does grow out I notice it takes a lot of blow drying to keep it to hold and even humdity can mess up Supershine which only has a medium hold. So I think I'll try Superhold next. But I've used Supershine for a few years now and I love it and recommend it 100%.
How do you maintain your sideburns? Do you do it yourself or does your barber? Im currently trying to grow out my hair to about your length but its a bitch because of my sideburns.
Which is better suavecito firme or this? I've never used suavecito and like it but I was wondering if there's better also what's a good oil based pomade?
This for sure! What I currently use is Lockhart's heavy. It's a very good oil based. If you have thick, wavy, or curly hair like I do, try it out. It's $11 for 4 oz on Amazon which is a great deal. If you don't have that hair type go for goon grease.
I noticed the packaging of your one says Super Hold Deluxe Pomade while others just says Super Hold, what's the difference or is it just the packaging?
clone 2k soz if im a bit late. Imo this product is great. Easy to apply, easy to wash out and great hold. It says medium shine and looks quite shiny when you first apply it but it dries kinda matte which I quite like. All in all great product and I reccommend it :)
If you have curly hair I would recommend getting the grooming spray and using that before putting pomade in it. But, hey, I don't have curly hair so I may be wrong. Best of luck to you bro.
I've used Suavecito Force which is very similar to Super Hold and it keeps my curls/waves under control, mostly. It's nice to let a little curl come through because it gives it character that's more person to your hair. Super will probably work really well for you, give it a shot ;)
I have curly hair and I use this pomade with the grooming spray. It works pretty well. However it can be pretty tough to comb through sometimes. I also cannot recommend enough also using a finishing spray, to keep your hair style exactly how you styled it all day.
Layrite superhold was made also for wavy and curly hair. It keeps the waves out if you want as well as curls. So yes its good for your hair type. Haha I probably sound all weird, I got this from their RUclips channel just look it up he tells you all about it
Its a lower shine. I would say less than the original. But it depends on the moisture in your hair. More water, higher shine and lower hold. Less water, higher hold, lower shine
Its all preference, when using a pomade I have the best luck when my hair is damp because its applys easier/evenly throughout the hair, and you dont have to use as much product. Hope that helps.
shiner gold, shiner gold, shiner gold. tried layrite super hold with high hopes and it just goes in toooo easy. not nearly thick enough. if you have really curly hair like mine its just not enough. i had to fix my hair over and over for like 20 minutes until the stuff really started to dry out and get a good thick hold. my hair just wouldnt stop springing out of place. once it thickened up, it held fine. but just fine, not great. probably awesome for thinner or even thick straighter hair but for guys with hair like mine, its just not enough.
It all depends on the look you're looking for. Slick Devil offers a natural look and it definitely has a stronger hold compared to most waterbased pomades. Is it possible that you are westing you're hair or maybe not applying enough product?
Lol, I didn't realize how long your hair actually was until you turned around. I like layrite, but then I don't. I'm the type of guy that try's NOT to follow what everyone else is hooked to. Layrite is way to mainstream for my taste though I'm sure it's a great product.
when I use this stuff it's uncomfortable to apply. the stuff is so heavy and thick it's like glue. My hair isn't even that long, but it tugs and pulls a lot and I apply damp.
would this work well on thick, straight hair? I'm using american crew pomade, but it find it's not strong enough to slick my sides back. My sides are so straight they poke out still
You mean a mention for comparison? I don't see why that would be necessary when you could just go to the reviews for each one and make the comparisons yourself. Seems like a waste of time for the reviewer.
Oil based are always affected by warm weather. Water based are not (unless you like walking in the rain). So I would suggest the layrite. I actually have those two and mix them together in my palm. So I get the best of both and it's easier to wash out. Both of them great pomades by the way!
If you have skin issues, then the best would be to avoid all products, of course. I like the Layrite super hold cause it makes my wavy hair straight and I don't need to use too much of it. I also try now Suavecito (regular hold). Those two are the classics in water based. Imperial Barber is expensive but I heard that it is of superior quality. Reuzel I began with, not a fan anymore. Especially their water based, makes hair hard and plastic. Just buy one and see how it feels. I could write an essay for you but you would never know if you didn't try!
Another good thing about this product, the jar is pretty large.
It has lasted me 3 months with almost daily use.
Could you please do a slow-mo and zoom in with different angles when doing your pomp in general ( not the part buy the pomp it's self) please I'd appreciate it
Do a video on your top 5/top 10 pomades so far
Thank you for comparing this to Suavecito, excellent review
Thanks bro, just watched about an hour of ur reviews trying to find the right pomade for me n just ordered this one based on ur review. U got another subscriber. Will also buy ur shirt bra!

Benny 1923 thanks I was gonna look into buying this I use firme
Which one is easier to apply on dry hair Super Hold Layrite or Normal Layrite (yellow one ) ?
What brand is the rat tail comb and where did you get it?
Looks nice! I just bought gentlemen republic pomade , it feels soft and stron atst
Does the product hold last all day?
James, I don't understand when I use layrite, my hair gets brittle and yours stay pretty natural. What gives?
+David La its funny i actually experienced the same thing when i started using it. It stopped after about the third application. Maybe hair gets used to the product? Otherwise maybe use a bit less?
+David La Leave your hair a bit wet before applying the pomade?
My technique with water based pomades is starting off with wet hair, putting it in, blow drying just a little bit until it's damp, then applying a bit more as a topper, and fixing it up. Doesn't harden up at all and is soft with good hold

Just realised my phone corrected the word "hold" to "HD" I have no idea why, sorry about that
I have thick, curly hair, I've been using Layrite super hold to slick back my hair and it hasn't failed me yet.
have you tried js sloane heavy weight water base or type 550?
+MisterKittah bro I'd try reuzel blue, its so thick and heavy, provides the best hold to date for me.
uppercut deluxe. spread it throughout hair, add a tat bit of water, and spread it more evenly, comb it with water, once it's dry (which is really fast) it'll last all day.
can you do american crew?
What one do you prefer most ? Super Hold, Deluxe, or Super Shine?
I use supershine and my hair is much shorter than his but also very thick. Layrite Super Hold or Layrite original?
Joe Hilton super hold 👍🏻
How do you maintain your sideburns? Do you do it yourself or does your barber? Im currently trying to grow out my hair to about your length but its a bitch because of my sideburns.
is your hair naturally thick and straight? cause mine is and i have been struggling with finding products
Does Layrite turn hard after it dries?
Hey james I have asian hair that is thin and straight. Could I get away with using less of this super hold to get the same effect of the deluxe one?
Does this pomade dry out I just need to know?
Can you do a review on American greaser supply 90wt pomade ???
What is your favorite pomade?
Does this product dry out the scalp? It seems to be giving me a dry and itchy scalp. Idk if it's the product or I'm just using too much.
Does this last you all day?
Which is better suavecito firme or this? I've never used suavecito and like it but I was wondering if there's better

I noticed the packaging of your one says Super Hold Deluxe Pomade while others just says Super Hold, what's the difference or is it just the packaging?
+The Eighth they are 2 different products. go to the layrite website to see.
+The Eighth There's actually three kinds, Strong Hold, Deluxe, and the Shiny one (can't remember the entire name of it).
Does this also dry out your hair and scalp as suavecito strong hold?
1
+Vit Bandit no
suavecito or layrite ?
suaviceto
Layrite ?
Layrite all day! Suavecito just couldn't cut it for my wavy hair.
But layrite superhold or layrite cement is better ?
I have layrite superhold.
Do a review on modern pirate
Pro. Awesome review dude. thanks for posting, just what I needed!
Which is better? Layrite Stronghold or Layrite cement?
Depends if you want some shine or matte. I would personally go for this.
yeah ed thats layrite cement clay
Can someone help me pick either admiral super hold or layrite super hold
I have curly hair. Can i use this layrite strong hold to make my hair slick back?
I looked it up. This stuff was made for guys with thick curly hair in mind. But it works for everyone :)
I have thick, sometimes curly hair. I've been using super hold, it works wonders!
i like this pomade all pomade i have
Does this damage your hair if u use everyday ? Someone reply plz
Chukni Chukni It dries it
clone 2k soz if im a bit late. Imo this product is great. Easy to apply, easy to wash out and great hold. It says medium shine and looks quite shiny when you first apply it but it dries kinda matte which I quite like. All in all great product and I reccommend it :)
What's stronger suavacito strong hold or layrite strong hold?
Layrite strong
Layrite is a waaaay better brand than Suavecito. But if you have never use pomade before, then go for Suavecito. Since it's cheap and descent enough
Does it harden?
Your what?
Zack King yep
his peen
Peen??
peen = penis
do american crew pomade
Good for curly hair??
If you have curly hair I would recommend getting the grooming spray and using that before putting pomade in it. But, hey, I don't have curly hair so I may be wrong. Best of luck to you bro.

i've got curly hair and water based is your best bet.. It wont keep the curls away but you can still work with it well.
Haha I probably sound all weird, I got this from their RUclips channel just look it up he tells you all about it
This pomade OR Slick Devil pomade??????? HELP
+umarmars47 layrite
how is the shine with super hold?
Its a lower shine. I would say less than the original. But it depends on the moisture in your hair. More water, higher shine and lower hold. Less water, higher hold, lower shine
Do bees knees pomade
Can you do murrays?
Murrays is a good product but its a classic and average pomade every one has tryied it so he dosent reviews it
great review just bought it
What do you think
anyone know how well this does in higher degree weather?
I use this product almost everyday and usually when im out, the hot weather has no effect on my hairstyle
how shiny is it?
not that shiny
Most heavies have low shine
Should i wet my hair?
Its all preference, when using a pomade I have the best luck when my hair is damp because its applys easier/evenly throughout the hair, and you dont have to use as much product. Hope that helps.
Just my opinion, but i think your hair would look so much better eith the back and sides shaved
Well he has that now
still looks quitte terrible though...
shiner gold, shiner gold, shiner gold. tried layrite super hold with high hopes and it just goes in toooo easy. not nearly thick enough. if you have really curly hair like mine its just not enough. i had to fix my hair over and over for like 20 minutes until the stuff really started to dry out and get a good thick hold. my hair just wouldnt stop springing out of place. once it thickened up, it held fine. but just fine, not great. probably awesome for thinner or even thick straighter hair but for guys with hair like mine, its just not enough.
How does this pomade compare to slick devil?
Lol it doesn't compare to slick devil! Slick devil is top of the line, In my opinion.
disasterplan120410 slick devil is bad I tried it out and no shine and no hold fory hair it sucks layrite is way way better than slick devil
It all depends on the look you're looking for. Slick Devil offers a natural look and it definitely has a stronger hold compared to most waterbased pomades. Is it possible that you are westing you're hair or maybe not applying enough product?
This stuff rips my hair out when I try combing it when its wet.
+RedBaritonePlayer Try a good quality comb instead
Akaimayn whAt comb do u recommend?
How many guys watching this with receding hairlines?
Lol, I didn't realize how long your hair actually was until you turned around. I like layrite, but then I don't. I'm the type of guy that try's NOT to follow what everyone else is hooked to. Layrite is way to mainstream for my taste though I'm sure it's a great product.
It's because it's so good. Like Fender guitars; they're the most famous brand, but only because they're so reliable and have stood the test of time.
#Hipster
lol thats such a bad attitude to have imo
when I use this stuff it's uncomfortable to apply. the stuff is so heavy and thick it's like glue. My hair isn't even that long, but it tugs and pulls a lot and I apply damp.
ked4 that’s maybe because you need to apply enough gradually and not in one scoop
would this work well on thick, straight hair? I'm using american crew pomade, but it find it's not strong enough to slick my sides back. My sides are so straight they poke out still
Ultimat3IronM4n You probably have to grow out your sides a bit more.
Why this hairstyle, out of all hairstyles?!
Kinda sucks there was no clear comparison to the other Layrites at all.
You mean a mention for comparison? I don't see why that would be necessary when you could just go to the reviews for each one and make the comparisons yourself. Seems like a waste of time for the reviewer.
don't forget to mention you have asian hair which gives not challenge when combing -___-
sorry but that's not a pompadour, the hair isn't cut the proper way
It's his own way. The '50's are long gone and new versions are a good thing
Thats an awful haircut
which is better layrite super hold or lockharts heavy hold?
which holds up better in high heat, oil or water base product?
Oil based are always affected by warm weather. Water based are not (unless you like walking in the rain).
So I would suggest the layrite.
I actually have those two and mix them together in my palm. So I get the best of both and
it's easier to wash out. Both of them great pomades by the way!
If you have skin issues, then the best would be to avoid all products, of course.
I like the Layrite super hold cause it makes my
wavy hair straight and I don't need to use too much of it.
Ok, just buy Layrite. It's what you need.
