@@sylviegay75 How sweet! Thank you! ❤️ I don’t know if our situation is just normal as the pigs get older, or if we have suffered a bit of extra bad luck with the piggies health. Ovarian cysts seems to be very common in older sows.
@@piglypaws This is unfortunately the case with many girls who are getting older. I see this very regularly. During my life, I have had 8 guinea pigs including only one girl who lived without any health problems until she was 7 years old, and I consider myself lucky (about 40 years ago). On the other hand, almost all of my boys were often sick... They are unfortunately very fragile and sensitive animals, and I think that most breeders have been producing for too long a maximum, for maximum profit, without ever having been concerned with the present and future well-being of these poor creatures, who have become much more fragile over time.
