Derek Chauvin Trial: Prosecution calls cardiologist Dr. Jonathan Rich to testify

The state began week three in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin by calling cardiologist Dr. Jonathan Rich to testify on the state of George Floyd's heart at the time of his death.
Some experts believe the state could wrap up its case as early as Monday, which will allow Chauvin's attorney Eric Nelson to begin calling his own witnesses.

Chauvin faces three charges, second-degree murder, second-degree manslaughter and third-degree murder in the death of George Floyd, who died in police custody in May 2020.
