  • Are there contradictions in the #Quran? This is a question emailed to us by a viewer. Dr. Shabir Ally responds with a clear answer: No! He explains that when people see contradictions, this is because they don’t understand or care to understand the Quran appropriately. He offers some examples of seeming #contradictions. He recommends that people look at commentaries of the Quran to understand how laws have been set in place gradually and how verses must be interpreted in relation to each other.

Allah is pure Spirit and Will. And if you read the beginning of the Quran when Muhammad is in Mecca trying to convert the People in power Muhammad portrays Islam as something peaceful then when he is kicked out to Medina that’s when the other half of the Quran is written which is very war and anger driven. In the latter half Allah changes his Will. Can God Change if God is out of space and time????

Hi everyone! I'm a muslim-born man and am still identified as a Muslim and have no desire to become something else ..BUT, I am, firstly, a forever seeker of truth before anything else and I had a question about the Quran, since we are talking about contradictions, , maybe someone could explain......so here it goes:
How can Allah be the most beneficent and the most merciful, but yet, still have the worst punishment for those who don't believe???
In my opinion this is the BIGGEST contradiction in the Quran.... almost in every beginning of the surahs, it says Allah is the most merciful but then it says over and over again, through out the whole Quran, that just because some are disbelievers, allah will punish them.... I dont get it ....Maybe someone can explain so I can be more connected to Islam.....because honestly, in my opinion, if only it said this instead: " Allah is the most beneficent and most merciful that even if you don't believe in him, he will forgive you, as you did not know better", then I surely wouldn't have had this question in me.

for those disbelievers they can already convert to islam at any time because they can already decide which is good and which is bad but if they didn't believe in islam they get punishment.there are many stories in the holy quran stating that Allah swt Is merciful.
Again my apologize for bad pronounciation and explanation

    • @yizzysblock
      @yizzysblock Год назад +5

After reading the quran couple of times again, I now, understand fully, why Allah (swt) will punish the disbelievers. It was only my assumption and not a contradiction, to think that Allah shouldn't punish them. Why wouldn't he? he can forgive anything, but only one sin which is (shirk) that he cannot and since disbelievers assosiate something or someone else to Allah or even worse, they just dont believe while there is signs everywhere in the quran and in the world for them to see. So I get it! Allah IS the most merciful and most importantly, the most fair and just. The judges of judges and the kings of kings and thats why he can and he should be fair with believers and disbelievers accordingly. Anyways, thanks for everyone who replied to my comment. I just had doubts which sometimes happens, but they're cleared off now. May allah bless us all!

Some Muslim scholars argue it that way. However, the truth is that Koranic injunctions must be understood from a holistic perspective. For example, the holistic perspective about intoxicants is that they abominations of Satan, avoid them so that you may prosper. However, they do have some good in them, but bad is on the higher side. So, if you can not resist intoxicants, then make sure not to offer salah when you are intoxicated so that you can remember your words and sanctity of salah. This is how the glorious Koran warned people from a holistic perspective so that on the judgment day, individual circumstances are taken into consideration.

Before you pass the exam, you cant get a job which requires a certificate because you dont have one. Assuming u get 100% in literally all the subjects without cheating then you could get pretty much any job (this is a hypothetical scenario). In this world we are in the "exam phase" and once we get our certificate and we pass, we will be able to do anything we want to. The better your grades, the higher the level in Paradise you'll get.

‘The Man (Mohammad), The Book (Qu’ran) and The Place (Mecca); huge holes in all 3. 3 clear examples are: (1) Sura 2:29 states that the Earth was created first; whereas Sura 79:27-30 says that the Heavens were created first. (2) Did the Creation take 6 or 8 days to complete? Sura 7:54 says it took 6 days; while Sura 41:9-12 states that it took 8 (4+2+2). (3) Of what substance was mankind created? Huge discrepancies between Sura 3:59 (‘from dust’); Sura 15:26 (‘from clay and mud’); Sura 16:4 (from a small seed’); Sura 19:67 (‘created out of nothing’); Sura 21:30 (‘from water’) and Sura 96:2 (‘from a mere clot of congealed blood’). Seems that the author of the Qu’ran had a rather poor memory 😳🥴😣. BTW, Jesus stated that HE WAS THE SON OF GOD in the gospel of John chapter 10 verse 36.......so where does THAT leave Mohammad’s ‘revelation’.
Or to put it another way, why did Gabriel give a totally different revelation to Miryam in the gospel of Luke chapter 1 verse 35, than he apparently did nearly 600 years later to Mohammad? Had he changed his mind over that time, or was Mohammad deceived🤔☹️

@@mohammedafthab1503 If you carefully read the Psalm from verse 20 to the end, you will realise in the context that the ‘David’ being referred to is not the Biblical King David of Israel, but actually Jesus Christ himself. The last few stanzas actually refer to the things that happened to Jesus, the son of God, during his trial, torture and crucifixion. The terms used to describe the everlasting, world-altering dominion of ‘David’ simply cannot refer to the earthly king, who only reigned until the age of 70.
As with many Biblical figures, Joseph (under Pharaoh), Moses, Boaz, David, Daniel, etc, they are all types of Jesus himself. In this Psalm, David is clearly one such type.
To answer your other question, No, I didn’t watch the whole video. I have a low tolerance for Islamist Dawah boys trying to convince me that chalk is actually tasty cheese. The whole foundations of Islam, resting as they do on ‘The Man’, ‘The Book’ and ‘The Place’, have been so thoroughly undermined as to be utterly useless as spiritual guidance.

The mental gymnastics you have to do to refute these contradictions is impressive considering you'll gladly point out contradictions of other religions but yet when they explain and refute the contradictions in their book all of the the same way you do, you don't hold your book to the same standard. Your reasoning is backwards. You think because God inspired the Quran it's perfect and infallible so there must be explanations for the contradictions in the Quran instead of letting the Quran stand on its own showing that it's objectively infallible. Which clearly isn't the case when you take an unbiased view. What a coincidence that you happen to be born in the middle east but yet are Muslim. If you were born in India chances are you would belive in their religions or if you were born in the states you would most likely be Christian. What a coincidence that the God everyone was brought up to believe, you all happen to believe you believe in the "one true god".

Yeah, we must understand that there's no contradiction between verses in the Quran, because in Surah Al Baqarah verse number 2 or 1 it says "that book which there's no doubt, a guidance for the pious", this means that there are no doubts in the Quran and no problems and no contradictions, this is just a misunderstanding of people who say that there are contradictions in the Quran.

    Universe creation sequence:
If you spent a little bit more of thought into this, you’ll see the answer:
So, since Quran 79:27-31 says that first the sky is built, THEN the earth is spread,
that means that in Quran 49:9-12 it forces that last 'thumma' to mean moreover (thumma is also commonly used as just “moreover”, and this avoids the contradiction), so the order is: smoke everything > heavens into 7 > earth 'spreading' & earth nourishment.

(Also fyi, the verse specifically says the 4 days of 'earth nourishment/creation' are equal, but the other 2 for the heavens are not mentioned as such, aka, different time lengths.)
Also, it can't be the other way around, 79:27-31 show the sky was built first, and THEN earth is spread out, meanwhile in the other sequence, it starts off with the earth is created, then sustenance, and 'THEN' the sky is still smoke and needs to be ordered into 7 and decorated, complete opposite, which shows that thumma here, is 'moreover' rather than 'next' sequence. This would also make it fit in perfectly with the 'heavens and earth were one piece' verse 21:30, as when everything was 'smokey' or prior to that or it could even just mean the earth was generally part of the heavens as a preexisting formless state(part of the gassy nebulae), and then 'split off', aka, a chunk was taken from the heavens to form the Earth.
Also notice Quran 79:27-31 mentions 'building/proportioning' things, not 'creating' from scratch. Sky proportioned. Earth then proportioned. This solves the problem of 'then He spread out the Earth', as some think that implies the Earth pre-existed the heavens. It's just 'sky was proportioned' then 'earth was proportioned'.

But that's exactly what Muslims do when they condemn the Bible and claim it is corrupted. When a Christian tries to explain the context of a verse or a doctrinal belief, the Muslim will say that's wrong, you are twisting the literal written text. I have seen it so many times. Also a good example is about the Holy Spirit, where Muslims claim Jesus was referring to their prophet Muhammed, but when you read the full chapter, you will see it cannot be referring to Muhammed

It makes no attempt to try and disprove the actual Trinity. It states that allah is the greatest of ALL deceivers, yet in the Bible the greatest deceiver is satan/devil while God of the Bible is the TRUTH. Some intelligent Non-Muslim study the Qur'an in one read then form their conclusions immediately. That isn't how it works. No matter how intelligent and accomplished you are, if you don't know how to approach a text, you won't understand it. Intellectuals read the Qur'an as if it's just another academic text which is completely wrong, thus lead to misconstructions. If they truly wish to study it objectively, they should understand how it should be approached (i.e., words of God with ingenious literary techniques). They don't have to believe that it's the word of God, all they have to do is PRETEND that it's the word of God so that it can act as an incentive for them to discover its gems.
The Qur'an is like a mine. Digging in for days is tiresome, but once you find the gems, you'll believe that it was all worth it.
The problem is that Non-Muslim intellectuals has this bias they don't recognize when they approach the Qur'an. They think that studying it for a week or month is enough for them to form conclusions. We could see the Qur'an as a field beyond any fields of science. Ask yourself, do you think you can master Geology in one or two months? No, you can't, then you must not form conclusions yet. Same with the Qur'an. Even after 1400 years of tafseers, we still have not understood wholly the Qur'an, and it cannot be understood completely, but it can be understood "enough".

Approach not prayers with a mind befogged, until ye can understand all that ye say" then the forbid verse came later. I don't think these verses are contradicting each other, and nowhere was mentioned that you decide what you want about alcohol. The two verses discourage people from alcohol, yet no forbid was mentioned until later in the 3rd verse, which I don't think to be a contradiction. Regarding that god has the words in eternity, yes it was, yet was revieled over the span of 23 years according to each circumstances and occasion, then in the end became a whole program together, which not something that decreases its value. Either way, contradiction is not really my argument here, although there are many in Islam, my issue here is that allahs eternal speech seems to always change and adapt according to the situation or circumstances that mohammed would face. Same thing with the woman covering themselves, that only came after Umar kept advising Mohammed to tell his wife's they should cover, thereafter the revelation was revealed. In Qur'an 25:63 it says that they should be treated kindly but in 9:29 it says that they should fight unbelievers. This is just one of hundreds of examples where the Qur'an contradicts itself and also people misinterpret it. Qur'an describes Mekkah as a vibrant city with trade, olive trees and water but archeologists have never found any evidence that there used to be a city at times the prophet was living there. There weren't any old structures from the 7th century, there have never been olive trees or water and no mention anywhere on maps of this period. Mekkah was not in Saudi Arabia, otherwise the Qur'an would be wrong.

Who did Muhammad say he saw in the Hira Cave? He said he had seen the devil or Satan and he came trembling and shivering back home. Confession is the master of evidence. Muhammad confessed that he saw a Devil or was touched by a Demon. Khadijah convinced him that what he saw was the Angel. Thirdly: Khadijah's testimony is rejected because she saw nothing to testify about. It is a fact: You testify to what is seen. The truth is clarified in the books of the Prophet's biography and the books of Islamic heritage, beloved Muslims, but truth is in their heritage books. The fact that the creature that appeared to him in the cave in various manifestations, is that he: is a follower from the Jinn, in other words it is the Devil, and a third more comprehensive expression is that he feared for himself from this time. In the book (Al-Sirah Al-Halabiyah, 1/380) "From Umaru bin Sharhabil that the Messenger of Allah said to Khadija.. I am afraid that the one who calls me is a follower of the Jinn (Demon)." "I am afraid that the madness in me is touched from the Jinn (Demon)." Again Khadijah’s witness is not accepted under Muslim law: As it is a witness of a woman, and woman in Islam lack in intellect and religion. This comes from the statement of Muhammad in (Sahih Bukhari 2/531, Hadith 1393) Khadijah’s testimony is illegal: you do not accept a testimony unless it is from two men, or one man and two women. (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:282- And bring to witness two witnesses from among your men. And if there are not two men, then a man and two women from those whom you accept as witnesses - so that if one of the women errs, then the other can remind her.} And here is Khadijah who is giving a testimony alone, and it is wrong as described in the Quran. So it is a testimony not by Shariah. The whole Quran contradicts itself and destroys the testimony of Khadijah that what Muhammad saw was the Angel Jibreel. Accept the confession of Muhammad and the conclusion is that the whole Muslim religion is founded by Satan: THE CONTRADICTIONS IN THE QURAN HAVE BEEN ABROGATED AND THE VERSES REWRITTEN TO CORRECT THEM UNDER THE THEORY CALLED NASKH

Plenty contradictions. This is just a small part the list can go on and on.
*What was man created from: blood, clay, dust, or nothing?
“Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood,” (96:2).
“We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape, (15:26).
“The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: “Be”. And he was,” (3:59).
“But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?” (19:67, Yusuf Ali). Also, 52:35).
“He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! (16:4).
*Is there or is there not compulsion in religion according to the Qur’an?
“Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things,” (2:256).
“And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage, - that Allah and His Messenger dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith,” (9:3).
“But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful,” (9:5).
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued,” (9:29).
*The first Muslim was Muhammad? Abraham? Jacob? Moses?
“And I [Muhammad] am commanded to be the first of those who bow to Allah in Islam,” (39:12).
“When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: “O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee.” Allah said: “By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me.” When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: “Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe.” (7:143).And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; “Oh my sons! Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the Faith of Islam,” (2:132).
*Does Allah forgive or not forgive those who worship false gods?
Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most heinous indeed,” (4:48). Also 4:116
The people of the Book ask thee to cause a book to descend to them from heaven: Indeed they asked Moses for an even greater (miracle), for they said: “Show us Allah in public,” but they were dazed for their presumption, with thunder and lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even after clear signs had come to them; even so we forgave them; and gave Moses manifest proofs of authority,” (4:153).
*Are Allah’s decrees changed or not?
“Rejected were the messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those messengers,” (6:34).
“The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfillment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all, (6:115).
None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?” (2:106).
When We substitute one revelation for another,- and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, “Thou art but a forger”: but most of them understand not,” (16:101).
*Was Pharaoh killed or not killed by drowning?
“We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: “I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam). (It was said to him): “Ah now!- But a little while before, wast thou in rebellion!- and thou didst mischief (and violence)! This day shall We save thee in the body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!” (10:90-92).
Moses said, “Thou knowest well that these things have been sent down by none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth as eye-opening evidence: and I consider thee indeed, O Pharaoh, to be one doomed to destruction!” So he resolved to remove them from the face of the earth: but We did drown him and all who were with him,” (17:102-103).
*Is wine consumption good or bad?
O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,-of Satan’s handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper,” (5:90).
(Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell forever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?” (47:15).

All of these has already been debunked. They aren't contradictions. They're simply a literary technique.
This isn't contradictory at all. These just describes the different ways we were created. God didn't say "Oh, I created you from DUST and only DUST, and nothing else in between or beyond".
Allah described himself as the Almighty in one passage and the Most Wise in another. Is that a contradiction? Nah, it isn't. Similar to this example.
Don't read the Qur'an as if its just another poem or academic text. The Qur'an isn't any of our literary forms. Then why approach it that way? If the Qur'an is unique then the approach must be unique also.
What you're doing here is akin to STUDYING A POEM AS IF IT'S AN ACADEMIC TEXT. lol

God’s creation took 6 days according to a prophet born 1500 years after the Hebrew scriptures (Genesis) which first said the same thing. Putting aside the complete inconsistency with what we now know from cosmology, this seems like borrowing rather than revelation. Also, if the all knowing creator wanted to reveal himself clearly and unambiguously to his children, he would have chosen to do so in Mandarin Chinese or English (and to a literate population) which are understood by far more of his creation than ancient Arabic. It seems quite a coincidence that the one who revealed the creator’s words to humanity just happened to only speak Arabic and when anyone today raises contradictions they are told the true meaning can only be understood through a scholar’s level understanding of Arabic. Hmmm.

    • @JuiceJukeBox

      *Arabic Revelation*
Honestly, how can you be this dumb, It was revealed in Arabic because the prophet and the people spoke Arabic. If the prophet spoke English it would have been revealed in English.
Had We revealed it as a non-Arabic Quran, they would have certainly argued, “If only its verses were made clear ˹in our language˺. What! A non-Arabic revelation for an Arab audience!” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “It is a guide and a healing to the believers. As for those who disbelieve, there is deafness in their ears and blindness to it ˹in their hearts˺. It is as if they are being called from a faraway place.”
      (Fussilat 41:44)
"God’s creation took 6 days according to a prophet born 1500 years after the Hebrew scriptures (Genesis) which first said the same thing"
If you're saying that Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) Copied the scriptures then you're a fool. Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) was illiterate he could neither read nor write forget Hebrew he could neither read nor write Arabic. So pretty dumb to say that he copied from Hebrew scriptures.
"which are understood by far more of his creation than ancient Arabic"
Are 446 Million Arabic speakers very few to you?
And just so you know the Bible was never in English too. It was ofc revealed in Aramaic because as agreed by most of the Christian scholars the Jesus and his disciples spoke Aramaic. But the earliest manuscripts of the bible are in Hebrew, So the Aramaic manuscripts are lost. So you don't even know if the Aramaic-Hebrew translators were right, they would've made many mistakes or even added their own stuff removed what they like and you would never know( And some figures even admitted to do that). It is now that they are translated into English.
Don't try to criticize the Quran when you don't even know the history of your bible. History is proof that the Quran is wayyyyy better preserved than the bible.
*Relating to the 6 days Creation*
Yes, it's true the Quran says that the universe was created in 6 days. now the word used is 'Ayyam' which could either mean a day or a long period of time. Because the way we perceive a day is 24 hrs which is not how God perceives it or even how it actually is, So scientifically scientists say that there is no objection in saying that the Universe was made in a long period. There are some Christians that say that like the Quran even the bible means a long period. It does not !! If you read the bible it says evening and morning clearly stating 24 hrs but even if I agree with you that the Bible means the same thing, then congrats you have solved 1 paradox you got 5 more Contradictions to go. So while presenting the criteria of the development of the Universe the bible makes a lot of Scientific Mistakes and the Quran doesn't.
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. (1:3)
Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
-So light was created on the 1st day and Sun and Stars on the 4th day.
How can Light be created before the source of light (Sun, Stars) completely illogical.
Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day. (1:9-13)
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.(1:3-5)
-So Earth was created on the 3rd day. And Day and Night were created on the 1st day.
How can you have a Night and Day without the Earth? Night and day depends on the rotation of the Earth. If there is no Earth there is no concept of Night And Day.
-So Earth was created on the 3rd day and the Sun and Moon were created on the 4th.
According to established science Earth is part of the parent body Sun. Earth cannot come into existence before the sun.
-So all the Vegetation(Herbs, grass, tree, fruit) was on the 3rd day and the Sun was created on the 4th day.
How can there be vegetation without sunlight, and how can they even survive without sunlight?
Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. And God set *them* in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth. (1:16-17)
-It says God made two lights the Sun and The Moon, But the Moon has no light according to Established Science, The light of the Moon is reflected light of the Sun and not its own light.
God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon earth, indicating that the Moon has its own light which again contradicts established Science. And even the Hebrew word used for light is 'hammaowr' which means a lamp or a chandelier something having its own light.
*But in the Quran (25:61) The word used to describe the light of the sun is 'Siraajan' literally meaning Lamp, Something which produces it's own light. And the Arabic word used to describe the light of the Moon is 'Moonera' Meaning a borrowed light or reflected light. Which 100% goes with the Established Science that the Moon has it a borrowed light and the sun has it's own light*
Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. (Furqan 25:61)
The Quran does not have Contradictions in the concept of the creation of the universe unlike the bible which has many contradictions. I mean Isn't it dumb that A illiterate person who didn't even know to read and write 1400 yrs ago copied the 6 days concept with eliminating all mistakes and contradictions again *1400 yrs ago* . Forget about the 6 days criteria he wrote the whole book without any mistakes and contradictions.
It is not possible, this type of knowledge is only with the creator himself, the Quran has been revealed from the creator himself.
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur’ān? If it had been from anyone other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction. (An Nisa 4:82)

@@JuiceJukeBox First, the books that make up the old testament were written in ancient Hebrew. The books that make up the New Testament were written in Greek, not Aramaic. Clearly, the Quran borrows heavily from the stories first recited in the Old and New Testaments, at some points the words in the Quran mirror the Bible word for word. Elsewhere the Quran seeks to explain certain beliefs that were held by Jews and Christians and gets those beliefs completely wrong. Muhammad lived in a region where the stories of the Torah and New Testament were being circulated by adherents of the Jewish and Christian faiths and so there are some parallels to these texts in the Quran. He didn’t need to read and write Hebrew or Greek to have some basic idea (albeit sometimes inaccurate) of what these texts contained or what their adherents believed.
The six day creation story in the Quran is borrowed from Genesis and both, if read literally, are completely contrary to what we know about cosmology. Neither understood the billions of years that separate the age of the Universe and the Earth, and in both texts the authors repeatedly and incorrectly thought the moon generates its own light. The authors clearly didn’t understand the basic fact that the earth revolves around the Sun, the Sun is a star and is 100 times larger than the earth, that Billions of Galaxies exist, that there are trillions of stars many light years distant from the earth with their own planets revolving around them. You would think the vessels communicating the divine revelations of an omniscient creator would have gotten these facts straight.
As to the Quran’s Arabic antecedents being “obvious” because Mohammad only spoke Arabic, you’re missing the point. And it it’s you who could not be dumber for using circular reasoning. An all knowing creator who wanted to get the message out to as many people as possible would have chosen another so called prophet who was literate and communicated in a language understood by the majority of people or he would have endowed Muhammad with miraculous multi-lingual powers. After all, given all the “miracles” of the Quran, this would have been a minor feat by comparison.

Shabirs intepretation is sadly wrong. Acc. Sura41 its clear that first the earth was made in 2 days. Second its clear, that in 4 days Al-lah made plants mountains etc. Thats a total of 6. But in verse 11 capter 41 its clear that ther stands "THEN" (thereafter) he made the sky in 2 days. Whats the meaning of "THEN"? Is then refered to: "Then before when he made the Earth" acc. Shabir..where is that fact from his expanation? "Then" means just therafter, (correct me if im wrong) so you have to add 2 days and end up with 8 days. Isnt it mentioned the Quran is very clearly? So clear written that nobody can bring a verse in the same beauty? Why THEN we end up with such debates while reading it, because its clear?...But more sad is the fact that Al-lah is no more know what he made first, heaven (sky where Al-lah is physical lives in and goes there every night) or the Earth...can you expain this? Inshal- LAH, Al hamdu Li`l-LAH, Al-LAH, Abdul-LAH or have Abullah only one "L"? ALCOLHOL YES OR NO? Acc. Islam Al-LAH made a scripture from the Quran before he even start making the Earth or anything else. Shabir says that rules can change from: you can drink alcohol to only dont be drunken when you go pray to alcohol is forbidden. Hmm..Why was Al-Lah not clear with that when he got made a scripture before? Belive it or not, Al-Lah changed his mindset...

One must question why there are so many abrogations to excuse the numerous contradictions in the Quran. If the Quran is Allahs eternal book, perfectly preserved and the final revelation from the time it was recited to Mohammad, WHY didn't Allah get it right the first time???? Why does Allah have to create a "better" verse to overrule older verses??? Why does the Quran contradict the Jews Torah and Christian bibles which predate it by hundreds and thousands of years, Please do not try to claim these bibles were corrupted because not only are there THOUSANDS of historical manuscripts to confirm accuracy, the Quran itself claims the authenticity of the Jew and Christian Bibles.

Before digging into any specifics, I would like to question your logic. Let's apply the logic you're applying to the Quran, to the Bible, shall we?
"Jesus 🙂" created Adam and Eve and they sinned, causing him to come to earth and sacrifice himself, so that he could forgive their descendants. Why didn't he get it right the first time?
"Jesus 🙂" restricted the Jews from having pork, then allowed the Christians to eat whatever they want. Why didn't he get it right the first time?

Does allah permit drinking alcohol? It seems that he could not make up his mind. You may drink alcohol at least in wine (83:25), and allah organises rivers of delicious wine in paradise (47:15) and is good for people who reason (16:67). Drinking is not allowed during prayers (4:43), except if you still know what you are saying. On the other hand, consuming alcohol (from satan ) should be avoided (5:90, not forbidden!) and is a great sin (2:219), although alcohol has benefit for people.
83:22-26: Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure. On adorned couches, observing. You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. They will be given to drink wine, sealed. The last of it is musk.
47:15 : Is the description of paradise, which the righteous are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, in which they will have from all fruits and forgiveness from their lord, like those who abide eternally in the fire and are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines?
16:67: And from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicant and good provision. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who reason.
4:43: O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janabah , except those passing through, until you have washed. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands.
