These solutions include Google Analytics, Google Shopping, the Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads. Oftentimes people get confused about what each of these tools is meant, which ones work together and how they all integrate within Shopify.
First, we talk about Google Shopping, which is basically a search engine for products. Getting free search traffic can add a significant revenue boost to your store and will also help to increase profits when leveraged. To get your products listed you will need to create a Google merchant center account first. After that, you can actually synchronize your product feed by using the google sales channel.
In the next chapter, we dive deeper into Google Analytics. After covering how to integrate Google Analytics with Shopify, I'll give you an overview of the Data going to be collected. Once you get a bit more advanced I'd also recommend learning about GA-Goals and GA-Events. In this article both are described very well:

Here it is important to understand that GA is a tracking software to collect data on your website, while the Google Tag Manager is actually a management system to organize all your tracking snippets. Therefore the initial question doesn't even make too much sense at all.
Last but not least we take a brief look at Google Ads and the different possible conversion tracking solutions. To run Google Ads effectively, conversion tracking is a must.
Basically, you can use GA or the Google Ads remarketing Tag.

I am currently using the Venture Shopify theme and this feature is not built in. I know certain themes have this feature. I love that it eliminates having to load another page! Hey Jan, thanks for the video! Could you by any chance do a tutorial on how to properly integrate GA4 with Shopify, ideally using GTM. There are currently no complete tutorials on the web that I could find that go into not just installing the GA4 tag, but also how to set up the data layer and all the necessary events. There is a Shopify.checkout object on the thank you page that contains all of the transaction details that can be passed onto tag manager and GA4 as purchase data without using the data layer, but for other events like ATC, begin checkout, etc., it needs to be done manually I think.

A tutorial on google shopping ads but for selling to multiple countries other than your primary country - with Shopify. That would be a very useful video as Google makes it very difficult to do. I can only find blog posts about it and none of them make much sense without screenshots.

Jan may you answer me ? Weeks ago i asked you about how to hide sold out products on collections, but without using the collection ( inventory > 0 ). Theres a way using a code, but then it let a hole ( like the product itself disappears, but where the product stay, it became all white )

Thanks for your input. I can imagine that the solution to this problem will be quite tricky (and theme dependent).
I would definitely need to do some research before as well.
Brainstorming that comes to my mind right now:
- Will be easier if you have exactly one image per Variant
- Mapping might be achievable with image alt tags
Will look into this to see if we can spin a video around :-)

Hey Jan, your videos are top tier! Super easy to follow for people who aren’t interested in coding but want to set up up bomb shopify stores! I have a question totally unrelated to this post, I have been struggling to get this right for days now.
I've noticed that bullets are not displaying when I veiw the product page on my store. When creating or editing the page, the bullets can be seen through Shopify. But when I preview the page on the web (using Chrome) the bullets are not there and the text is not indented. Please consider doing a video on this😰.

What you experience is probably related to the CSS of your theme.

Hey there,
in the Shopify theme file editor you can sometimes role back to an older file version (if you only deleted a part of the code.)
If you have an older theme version in place (a duplicate) you might also be able to copy and paste the code from there. You could also try to reinstall your theme and grab the code snippets from there.

For the US it's free already and other countries are following. They aim to be globally for free by the end of the year. But you're right, I should have differentiated in more detail. Thanks for pointing this out. :-)
