Mr. Fleet, I’m coming up to my seventy third birthday and I’ve been a preacher for the past forty two years. I’ve been fighting serious health issues for a while, but the Good Lord has kept me around here for a little longer for His reasons that are mystery to me. I’m glad to still be here to listen to your great lyrics and your awesome voice! Larry fleet, you sir have made some of my all time favorite country songs I've heard in my 31 years. This song broke me today on Father's day. My first child was a beautiful baby girl and she has me wrapped around her little finger. That you so much for making music that really hits the soul. Keep on keeping on and making awesome music.
16 years ago I was a single mother to a 3yr old boy and a 4 month old baby girl. Been through physical, emotional, and mental abuse. Knowing that wasn't the life they deserved, I left my abuser to ensure he would not hurt them the way he did me.... Then out of the blue, through the grace of God, an amazing man stepped into my life and stepped up for my kids. He told me that even if we didn't work out he still wanted to be there for the kids. That made me fall head over heels in love, a thing that I had been so scared of due to the abuse I suffered. Now 16 years later, our son is 19, the baby girl is now 16, and we added two more girls (11 and 7) he always joked around saying he wanted a football team, those dreams were fleeting as we kept having girls. Now I joke to him about how soft he has gotten over the years by raising his daughters. He also adopted my two oldest kids after we got married. He really was and still is my knight in shining armor, he pulled me from the darkest place in my life and showed me and my kids our worth. He has never hit me, never calls me out of my name, and has put me and the girls on the highest pedestal....and Lord be with the ones who try to bring hurt and pain to use cause they'll need him if my husband ever got his hands on them.

Well honestly I can't promise to not be so excited for you Larry and I'm going to call you little Larry just want you to know that u did it it's not been easy but when I came down to the old e-club you had a Red guitar I think but I know that you played me every request I asked you to. Well honestly Larry I don't know where I would be without Having Jesus Christ as my personal Savior I don't know how to go about asking you to do something for our Country cause I'm just one of the many Parents that has lost a Child due to the resurge of Heroin to our Youth and Everyone Else that had a rough time with pain meds. U know or I hope you remember my son Jacob Blanks Ur Mom Coached him in T-ball and he was scared to death of u cause of U were a lot bigger than him but u took the time to get to know him and stop him from his fear of U, well I lost Jacob on January 15 , ,2023 he was 29yrs old and he overdosed I'm not asking you to do anything that you aren't comfortable with I just don't know how our Country has let this Crisis happen it seems like that no one else has been watching for it and now it's just consuming our men women and any and everyone that gets caught up in the alure of this horrible dark plauge that seems to be unsurmountable you are truly a Blessing everything I tried to raise My Boys to turn out of becoming good God Fearing honest with the family in mind to be there as a core unit w) God as out guidance for a Blue Print to live with as the navigator in my life and my son's life. Any how I was wondering if you could maybe right s song on the way that Young Men and Women are dying at the rate of survival of this horrible dark plauge that makes sense to get the rest of the world to understand something has to be done about it.
