It's so good to start the year with Yoyo performances especially at Whisky a go-go. On the other hand, I prefer Yoyoka with longer hair but that doesn't detract from her immense talent.
I prefer Billie Cobham and Chester Thomson with more hair too...yet I recognize they are not actors of a silent movie but producers of beauty in the waves of sound.

Obviously to me seems to be, there is something we might call perfect pitch (but) in rhythm. When you have that you don't have to fear about messing a song up. When you happen to be able to spread the beat as solid as rock and as fluid as molten lava at the same time, you surely can get behind any set of drums any time. [Did y'all take note of: No sound check, no rehearsal??!!]
As to no rehearsal, that ending is so damn tight you would think they worked for days on it. YOYOKA keeps a tight ship!
The thing I don't like about these live performances is not getting to watch her play. YOYOKA-cam, YOYOKA-cam, YOYOKA-cam! Put it in your contract! Who agrees...
