    I did this for the first time today. I feel very satisfied. But is there anyone who has lost weight after these pranayams? Also, I feel dizzy while doing these pranayams. Is it normal?
    Update: Since the last 4-5 months, I am in depression, stress and sometimes I get panic attacks because of which I gained extra weight. Though I started doing these pranayam for weight loss, there are so many positive changes in my mind. Today is my 4th day of pramayam, and since the last three days I haven't cried even once. Thank you @YogawithNaveen for these. So glad I came across this video.

      Thank you for trying out the pranayama session and sharing your experience! It's great to hear that you felt satisfied after your first session. Regarding weight loss through pranayama, it's important to understand that weight management is influenced by multiple factors. Pranayama can indeed be a beneficial part of a weight loss journey, primarily by enhancing your metabolism and supporting the 'rest and digest' state of your nervous system, which can positively affect hormonal balance and contribute to healthier body weight management.
      However, for visible weight loss results, pranayama should be complemented with other essential lifestyle changes such as maintaining a caloric deficit diet, engaging in regular physical activity like walking, ensuring adequate sleep, and managing stress. These combined efforts create a holistic approach to weight loss and overall well-being.
      Feeling dizzy during pranayama can occur, especially for beginners or if breathing techniques are performed too quickly or intensely. It's crucial to go at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and always listen to your body. If dizziness persists, consider reducing the intensity or consulting with a healthcare professional to ensure pranayama practices are suitable for you.
      Remember, consistency and a balanced approach are key to seeing results. Keep up with your practice, and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need guidance. Wishing you health and wellness on your journey!

    can i do surya namaskar everyday without any other exercises for strength gaining, weight loss, and muscle growth?

    • @YogawithNaveen
      @YogawithNaveen  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! ❤️
      As for your question, doing Surya Namaskar every day is fantastic for improving flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular health, and it can aid in weight loss. However, for muscle growth, you'll need to incorporate resistance training exercises into your routine. Combining Surya Namaskar with other exercises will give you a more balanced workout and help you achieve your fitness goals.

    • @YogawithNaveen
      @YogawithNaveen  11 месяцев назад

      Thank you for reaching out with your question about breathing during pranayama. Breathing correctly is a fundamental aspect of pranayama, and it's common to take some time to feel comfortable with it.
      Start with a Comfortable Posture: Sit in a relaxed position, ideally in Sukhasana (Easy Pose) or on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Keep your spine straight to allow free flow of breath.
      Observe Your Natural Breath: Before trying any specific techniques, spend a few moments observing your natural breathing pattern. Notice how the air feels entering and leaving your nostrils, and the movement of your abdomen and chest.
      Gentle Deepening: Begin to gently deepen your inhalations and exhalations. Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose, filling your lungs completely, then exhale slowly, emptying them fully. Focus on the steady rhythm of your breath.
      Equal Length for Inhalation and Exhalation: In many pranayama practices, it’s beneficial to keep the inhalation and exhalation of equal length. You can count silently to help maintain this balance.
      Stay Relaxed: Ensure your facial muscles, jaw, and shoulders remain relaxed. The breath should flow effortlessly without strain.
      Pranayama is an art that improves with regular practice. Be patient with yourself as you learn to control and deepen your breath.
      Keep practicing, and you'll likely notice improvements not just in your pranayama practice, but in your overall sense of well-being.

    Hii namaste ! Can we switch on fan while doing pranayama? Sir😊

    • @YogawithNaveen
      @YogawithNaveen  3 месяца назад

      It's generally best to practice pranayama in a well-ventilated room without a fan directly blowing on you, as it may disrupt your breath control and body temperature regulation. However, if the room is too hot, you can keep the fan on at a low speed or use it to circulate air without it blowing directly on you. The key is to stay comfortable and focused during your practice.

    • @YogawithNaveen
      @YogawithNaveen  3 месяца назад

      Yes, you can still do this practice to help reduce belly fat, but since you already have a heat-dominant body, it's a good idea to balance with cooling pranayama techniques like Sheetali or Sheetkari. This can help regulate your body temperature and prevent excess heat buildup while still supporting your weight loss goals. Always listen to your body and make adjustments as needed!

      @YogawithNaveen  8 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your kind words and for joining my sessions! I am happy to hear that you are finding them helpful. Regarding Surya Bhedana Pranayama before dinner, it is recommended to allow yourself ample time to transition from your practice to eating. Ideally, try to maintain a gap of at least 30 minutes between your pranayama practice and your meal. This will allow your body to settle down and prepare for digestion. Keep up the great work with your practice!

    Feeling so relaxing, now that i am feeling like i should take a nap😅 is it common or not??? To feel sleepy after pranayama???

    • @YogawithNaveen
      @YogawithNaveen  8 месяцев назад +1

      It’s absolutely normal to feel sleepy after a pranayama session! Pranayama involves deep breathing exercises that increase oxygen flow and promote relaxation throughout the body and mind. This can often lead to a state of calm and relaxation, making you feel drowsy-especially if you’re new to the practice or if you do it in a particularly soothing environment.
      Consider this a positive sign that you’re doing the exercises correctly and that your body is responding well by entering a relaxed state. If you have the time, a short nap can actually be quite rejuvenating! Otherwise, you might enjoy a quiet, low-energy activity immediately following your session until your energy levels normalize.
      Keep up the great practice, and I’m thrilled to hear you’re enjoying the benefits of pranayama!

      Hello Jay! Waking up with a blocked nostril can be bothersome, especially if it's a regular occurrence. In yoga, there's a practice called 'Jala Neti' that might be helpful. It's a traditional technique used for cleansing the nasal passages, which can potentially alleviate the blockage in your nostrils.
      Jala Neti involves using lukewarm saline water to gently flush out the nasal cavities. It's important to learn this technique from a qualified instructor and to practice it correctly to ensure safety and effectiveness.
      However, consistent nasal blockage might also be indicative of an underlying health condition, so I recommend consulting a healthcare professional to explore possible medical causes.
      Thank you for reaching out with your question, and Namaste! 🙏

    I have migraine. Should I practice kapalbhati and bhastrika? Or is it just enough to avoid these kriyas only during extreme headaches?..

    • @YogawithNaveen
      @YogawithNaveen  Год назад

      It's important to be cautious with any yoga practice when you have a condition like migraine. Both Kapalbhati and Bhastrika are intense breathing techniques that may not be suitable for you, especially during a migraine attack or when you feel one might be starting. It would be best to avoid these kriyas not just during extreme headaches but also if you're experiencing any symptoms that typically lead up to a migraine for you. Outside of these times, if you still want to include these practices in your routine, please do so very gently and consider consulting with a healthcare provider to ensure it's safe for your specific situation. Always listen to your body and stop the practice if you feel any discomfort.

    While watching this video doubt arises to me. 😢 After doing surya bhedi shall I do chandra bhedi also? In the morning session. 🤔
    How long should I do? I mean time duration.. Is 15 minutes sufficient? If not, shall I do it for 15 minutes in the evening also, before sun sets.

    • @YogawithNaveen

      You can do the same video twice. Once in the morning and once in the evening. If you want to add Chandra bhedi, you can.

      It's best to avoid drinking too much water just before practicing pranayama. However, if you feel thirsty, a small sip of water should be fine. Ideally, try to hydrate well throughout the day and leave a gap of at least 15-30 minutes between drinking water and your pranayama practice.

    Hi this is 1st time i saw ur video, my baby is 12 th month running,i have siactica problem can i do this for weight loss,i gained 15 kg after delivery,i need to loose my weight please suggest me

    • @joellegauthier2764
      @joellegauthier2764 Год назад +1

      We share the same story. Gained 22kgs after giving birth and have sciatica too. I have just been doing these for a few days along with some exercices for lower back pain which a chiropractor instructed me to do. I suggest that you consult a chiropractor or osteopath first, do the exercices for back pain and sciatica. When you feel better, you may start the breathing exercices. Else you will most probably cause even more damage to your spine and nerves while staying in this sitting position.

    • @YogawithNaveen
      @YogawithNaveen  11 месяцев назад

      Hi Tejaswinee, Given your sciatica problem, it's important to note that pranayama practices aimed at weight loss can often be intense and may not be suitable in your situation. For effective and safe weight loss, especially post-delivery and with sciatica, a better strategy would be to focus on a balanced, calorie-deficit diet. This means consuming slightly fewer calories than your body uses while ensuring you're getting the necessary nutrients. Along with this, engage in low-impact physical activities. If walking doesn’t strain your sciatica, it can be a good option.
      Take care of your body, and be patient with your weight loss journey. If you have any more questions or need guidance on safe practices, feel free to reach out. Wishing you all the best!

    • @YogawithNaveen
      @YogawithNaveen  3 месяца назад

      Yes, pranayama can be helpful for weight loss when combined with a healthy caloric deficit diet and regular physical activity. Practices like Kapalbhati and Bhastrika, which are more dynamic, help boost metabolism and can aid in reducing belly fat over time. However, consistency is key, and pranayama works best as part of a holistic lifestyle approach.
