    Hello again, Things Men
    Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Question for you. I cut a lot cotter keys, will these hold up. If the holding clips can hold them in place. That could be a game changer. If the cotter keys are too tough for the tips, what kind of warranty do they have? Wherever you are stay safe and warm. Again thank you 👌

    The white parts on the flush cutter keep popping off (not falling off), but it would get unaligned which gets annoying. I would go for fujiya’s version where they don’t have a white holder, but a coating. It also sucks to put into a tool pouch since the white part gets stuck

    • @ThingsMen
      @ThingsMen  17 дней назад

      @@agathahearth mine aren’t popping off. Are yours? They are screwed in. My needle nose set was falling off in the video but I managed to fix that.

    • @agathahearth
      @agathahearth 17 дней назад +1

      @ the white part near the tip that is away from the screw. If you tried to slide it in your pocket or tool pouch, the white part would get lifted up and then you got this ugly mess. The white part would pop out of its circle and start obstructing your vision. For example I would zip tie cables to a cable tray overheard and the white parts would block my vision to see if the cut was going to flush or not

    I have a couple of pairs of the IPS replaceable resin jaw pliers. The 6.5" needle-nose and the 8" slip-joints. They're pretty good, but I wouldn't mind trying some of the Tsunoda. I'll probably get the 12" water pump style next. I like that the IPS I got are black coated because I live in a humid region, and cleaning and oiling my plier collection all the time is a pain in the ass. It's not so bad with the ones I use more often. The replacement jaw pads are easy to find for the IPS on Amazon. I should probably go ahead and get a couple of sets to put back. Mine did come with one extra set each.

    They look nice. But I just can't get over the fact they didn't even take the time to change the cardboard to write it all in English for the one's sold over here? Something so cheap to do. so it makes me wonder how they went cheap in other ways. I work in a heat treating facility. I can tell by this metal it's not very hard. Just my opinion by looking at it with years of experience

    • @ThingsMen
      @ThingsMen  19 дней назад

      @@paul9912 I appreciate your opinion but they don’t put much English on most of their tool packaging. Now these appear to not be made in Japan but Thailand I believe. All of their Japanese stuff is very high quality and gets heat treated well. These show in this video might be a step down but not by much.

    Not a fan of the white plastic jaw inserts coming off easily on that first pair you reviewed. Wonder if a pointed soldering iron through the back side could melt it to where the nubs expand enough to grip it better, and still be easy to pop out when replacing?

      Yea I think it was an oversight at the factory or they broke loose while shipping. I had much better luck heating them up a little and the squishing the pegs with a pliers. That then allowed them to squeeze in tighter and stay put. Small issue but nothing you can fix in a few minutes. 👍🏻

      I used a couple dabs of superglue and didn’t have a problem after. Haven’t had to change them yet as I only use them in delicate situations but I imagine a pair of pliers would break the seal to change them if needed but they have held up very well so far
