The judge is a histerically accurate depiction of Southern judges!

The judge's chess game was terribly inaccurate. The way the pieces were set up made no sense. It was not a game, it was just pieces placed on the chess board randomly. With the number of pieces left, the game would have had to have been in the middle game, yet neither king had castled. Black has two light square bishops which would have been impossible with the set up on the board. Also, the number of black pawns changes in an impossible way.

Nobody who critiques MY COUSIN VINNY ever brings up the fact that Vinny's experience working in Mona Lisa's father's garage enabled him to figure out from the tire track photos exactly what Lisa describes on the witness stand.

Mona's explanation wasn't really needed though. Once Vinny realized the tire tracks prove their car wasn't the killers car he could have had an aside with the judge and the DA and the case would have been dismissed.

Ralphie was always a shitty actor. Standing, motionless, with his mouth open, waiting for the next line.
