She will love that plant!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a silver sword I have struggled with, its currently a stump in the pot, and I have a clipped piece with no leaves in a prop box, all the other clippings rotted. it was such a cool plant, but once I got it, it just started dying off. the stump has a baby growth, which is exciting. My Monstera delicioco was just a 3 leave baby, every time a leaves comes out, and older leaf dies, but we are still alive.
It is a beautiful gift! My silver swird us the narrow one, it is currently in time out. Ithink it hates being watered, the tips always turn brown when I water it, so its dying a slow death, lol. Let us know how your new monstera cuttings are doung Desiree.
I give mine to my mom! I love my silver sword, but I can't get it to take off like yours. What's your secret?! It was in a 3 in pot, and now it's in a 4 in. I've had it for over a year, and it's still barely growing!
I know it looks like the silver sword is taking off but it used to be much much bigger and a much fuller plant. It kept dying and dying and dying in the pot so I just saved whatever I could and put it in water and that's all that's left of it
it will have to be repotted again within the year. Pot is too small for those size of leaves. Yes, it will be top-heavy and may fall and break leaves. Their roots grow so fast once potted...it needs another pot SOON!
@@spacecaseandherplants I actually would...only because of my experience with my son's. He wanted a prop of my beautiful deliciousa...and he gave me a pot he already had. I was very skeptical and told him, they grow so fast in the right environment. He took it home, and saw within the month, that aerial roots and new shoots were already pushing out. I told him I'd choose a pot that he'd like. He brought it back...and he liked the pot, but wondered if it was too large. He didn't know how fast our monsteras grow. A week later, he was so glad. I made him watch me repot it, so he could see how cramped those healthy roots were. He's had it less than 6 months now, and it fills the whole corner in his dining room and he thanked me many times for insisting on replanting it. Now, all my kids (the five who are plant parents) come over, or ask me to help them do their up-potting....OMG! What have I created?!?
Im sure she will love it. Also, with the intention that you gave it. Cute!! 🙋🏼♀️🪴
Samantha will love her plant - your gift- with all her heart!
I love to give plant gifts to friends and family……. Like you said it’s giving a piece of your self to someone……..
This makes me feel better as I took some monsters cuttings and they too are taking forever to grow any roots ?!! 🤨❤️
I can't remember when I took the cuttings but I want to say it was December. Took forever to grow roots!

Which silver sword do you have? I have the wide form and love it

Should I just repot it right away to a bigger pot?

Also...two of my daughters wanted props from the deliciousa...and they asked me to decide the size of the pot. So far, all are happily growing! 🥰
