i agree with the other commenters, i also enjoy both short and long videos. the short instructional types are super helpful and the nice long ones are perfect for keeping me company while i tackle my own chores, or just want to relax after work. so really the mixture of both is perfect :)
I've air layered azaleas and camellias to get props, never thought to do that with indoor plants too! I hope it works well for you. I enjoy the short videos as much as the long ones. Happy new year!
Beautiful plant, I've seen them online. I love any length video, as long as we see you😸 I do enjoy long videos though, I sit and drink my coffee and unwind and it's like your my favorite company visiting me. Haha 😹
I’ll watch every reel, video, movie, whatever you bless us with 😂 I enjoy longer cuz I’m one of those that just carries my phone around with me as I do chores and exist, but the short instructional videos are perfect too! Im not help 😅
I like longer videos but I’m happy with anything you post. 🤗 Also I baked the banana loaf that you shared with us and it’s best recipe I’ve ever used for banana bread! It’s a keeper! Thank you! I put pecans and chocolate chips on the top like you did and it made it sooo yummy! 😋
Hi Melissa, I love any video you do whether it’s long or short. I ll be here to watch! Thank you. Keep doing what you’re doing . You’re truly an inspiration!❤
Hey Melissa just wanted to let you know they make different sizes of the prop balls I have ones as small as a golf ball to as large as a little bigger than a baseball love mine just thought I would share! Thank you for bringing up along for the air layering can’t wait for my BMF to fenestrate 😊
Overall I enjoy longer videos but I think for this video it was a good length. Btw your burle marx flame is gorgeous!! That's one that's been on my wishlist for awhile so hopefully I'll add it to my collection in 2025!
I don't remember seeing in a video why you went to poles without moss. I imagine the upkeep? Have you noticed if there is a humidity boost in the empty pole encouraging faster aerial root growth? I just bought some moss pole drippers from Rousseau Plant Care. Curious to see how well they keep my poles damp.
yeah it's mostly the maintenance with them now. I can't keep up with watering and chopping them. I plan on chopping a lot of my plants back as they grow to have propagations for the shop so it'll be easier to just not deal with all the moss. The clear poles without moss encouraged more aerial roots to grow so I think it did help with the humidity. My albo that I chopped recently had so many and I used the clear pole with no moss for it. It would be so nice if the moss poles didn't dry out so fast 🙈
I thought of those drippers but I don’t have a Rousseau pole so it won’t fit. Infact my pole is twisted out of shape with two four foot metal green stakes V I side yo straights it out and make sturdy.
I'm dying to add a flame to my collection 😩 it's beautiful celebrated my birthday yesterday and got quite a few plants new planters and a few other planty things was an amazing day
Interesting subject. Feel it is a way to get new plants without chopping down plants to the bare minimum. Thanks for your thoughts on this. All good for 2025
Great video-do you like orchid moss better than other kinds, I’ve been struggling to get a better moss to use! I’m getting too many moss poles now-😂 thanks- I like all lengths of videos 🤩🪴
Thank you! I usually use this moss since it’s cheap and works well but the besgrow spagmoss is better quality. It’s kinda pricey though 😫 I only use it for certain plants or props haha.
Yes, I made a post yesterday morning with the 2 winners 😊 I tagged them and they both replied. If you go to the home page on my main channel here you’ll see different sections for videos, shorts, playlists etc. It’s under the posts section.
I did this exact same thing to my Monstera Deliciosa. I didn’t wait long enough for a lot more roots and have struggled keeping that plant alive ever since. 😢
Not sure if you’ve answered this already but where do you order your clear planter pots from? I found some on amazon which are ok but I like the vent holes in yours better. Thanks for responding.
✋ him I’m new here 😂 got recommended the 10 month challenge video. why are you no longer using clear moss poles? Of course I’m going to go back and watch all your old videos but just curious cause I wanted to start using those myself!
Hi there! Thanks for being here ☺️ I still use them but I’m trying not to make any new pole with “moss” it’s too much maintenance for me now. I had almost 40 moss poles at one point. I chop a lot of my plants back for my plant shop so it’s easier to chop them this way now 😁
Question why didn't you put moss in pole in beginning would have saved you time plant would have grown faster and bigger by now just curious I don't mean anything by my question just wondering if I was you I would put moss in pole forget air layering extend pole and then in month or so propagate then
no worries! I have too many moss poles & honestly tired of the upkeep with watering and chopping. I love them but with my expanding collection and trying to run shop now too it's a lot of maintenance. I neglect my poles a lot now and the roots inside the moss tend to dry rot. I'm putting plants on coir poles or using an empty pole now and I still get great growth. I plan on propagating my plants back a lot to have propagations to sell so it'll be easier for me in the long run 😊
I think it's still a little early but I'm hopeful! I've seen the crypto bugs munching on the mealies lol. I'm finding some mealies still though so I'll see how it continues to go with them. I'm trying to spot treat mealies that I see right away now too so they don't get out of hand.
I prefer shorter videos. I've watched many longer videos on different subject types of channels & they seem to have a lot of rambling filler material just to make it longer.. 😑
i agree with the other commenters, i also enjoy both short and long videos. the short instructional types are super helpful and the nice long ones are perfect for keeping me company while i tackle my own chores, or just want to relax after work. so really the mixture of both is perfect :)
thank you lacie!! ☺️
I agree I like both long and short.
I like the longer ones even if they're taped over multiple days.
Hi Melissa! Speaking for myself, I will watch any length; short, long, or videos in between. Thanks for another great video. Take care!
Thank you so much! ☺️
Same!
I think you do a great job with these short instructional videos. I learn so much from you.
thank you so much 🥹 I'm glad I can help!
I enjoy both longer and shorter videos. I’ll watch anything you post.
My six month old son loves watching your videos. He just smiles at you the whole time lol. My husband and I call you his girlfriend. 😂

She has such a soothing voice so I wonder if that’s what he likes?🥰
This is priceless!
aww 🥹 thank you!!
He’s gunna grow up to like plants and I respect that🫡
I like longer videos and I adore kitty interludes
I love watching any videos 😊 i prefer longer ones (hour or longer) but I like anything ideally over 20 minutes

Happy new year!
Thank you! Happy new year ☺️🌿
I like the mix of both. Short is educational and long is, grab a tea and chill. Both great. Thank you 😊🪴
I like both long and short videos. I just really love all of your content 💚
Thank you so much! 💚
I love some little shorter videos of cool planty content for sure!
Beautiful plant, I've seen them online. I love any length video, as long as we see you😸 I do enjoy long videos though, I sit and drink my coffee and unwind and it's like your my favorite company visiting me. Haha 😹

I like them both. Most long and a few shorter videos. Thanks for sharing with us!

Just found you…so glad I did! Love your black kitty! I have 2 black cats .. black cats are so gorgeous!

I like the long and short videos. Really, anything you post, I'll love. 😊
Love long videos but short is good sometimes too!
#1 wish list plant!!!❤❤❤❤
Same, any video and length is good for me!
I *prefer* longer videos (like 45-90 minutes) but im pretty sure ive watched every video on your channel? So ill watch whatever you make
Hey Melissa just wanted to let you know they make different sizes of the prop balls I have ones as small as a golf ball to as large as a little bigger than a baseball love mine just thought I would share! Thank you for bringing up along for the air layering can’t wait for my BMF to fenestrate 😊

thank you so much for answering and I appreciate it! hoping you can cross it off your wishlist this year! ☺️
Oh, I want this one
I love the long videos. How are the beneficial insects going?
Im waiting for mine to arrive from overseas.
oh yay!! I hope you love having one 😍
Melissa you’ll have to look for the alocasia porenrsis. I’ve seen one ace it’s stunning
Love your videos. Short or long
Thanks so much! 😊

Aw happy birthday!!!! So happy you got some amazing planty gifts 🥰 I hope you can cross the flame off this year!
@plantsbymelissa I hope so too we are moving soon so my plants have more room lol 😆 I posted a short tho of some things
Interesting subject.
Feel it is a way to get new plants without chopping down plants to the bare minimum.
Thanks for your thoughts on this.
All good for 2025
I like both long and short videos. If it becomes too long for me I just stop and pick it up again the next day
I have this plant. My most expensive plant. Mine has 10 leaves and a new one getting ready to unfurl. Yours definitely needs to be repotted, IMO.
I prefer the longer videos but if you can only put up a shorter one that day, it’s better than nothing! ❤😂👍
haha thank you!! I appreciate you for answering ☺️🫶
I love your BMF! I can't wait for more fenestrations on mine.

Melissa, happy new year, wondering did you announce the winners of your plant giveaways. I did not hear who they were. I have been waiting🙂
I hope it bounces back here 🥹
@ thank you 🥰
I enjoy all your content ❤

Are you using cellophane to wrap and make your air layering. Or a sedan wrapt? It’s really noisy like a heavy cellophane wrapper
It's the grafting tape I use for my moss poles. I think it's Polyethylene :)
@ ok. That explains the noise.
❤
Longer videos❤
Yes, some shorter videos are nice too!

@plantsbymelissa I understand ty for getting back to me
Interesting air layering aerial roots. Anxious to see results. I’ve always air layered a node with good success.
Are those your artwork of your cat? Cute!
I found them at tj maxx! I thought they were perfect 😍
@@plantsbymelissa Nice!
What’s the news on your mealy bugs when you release those bugs. I may need to buy some if they work.
I think it's still a little early but I'm hopeful! I've seen the crypto bugs munching on the mealies lol. I'm finding some mealies still though so I'll see how it continues to go with them. I'm trying to spot treat mealies that I see right away now too so they don't get out of hand.
Why no moss in the pole?
Happy 2025 🎉

I have to say I don’t get the burle marks flame. I don’t find it a very attractive plant. Just not one I like.
aw that's totally okay! I think the more mature leaves are what I am waiting for 🤩
