The sounds of bags not only puts you in another reality, it puts you in a state of peace. Something that is truly magical.... You are listening the the centuries of our ancestor. The music is not only truly beautiful... but artistic. I believe that there is not other insturment like the bagpipes. Something truly amazing.
Im scottish with the exception of a bit of American, French, German, and Cherokee and I normally listen to dubstep(not skrillex) metal and even symphonic. But something about bagpipes puts this kind of thing around the top of my list of favorites.
Rauricii & Helvetii i call brethren! i honour them everyday by working out to their traditional music and the motivation that they are my ancestors. i want to be able to call myself a true decendant of these proud people. what harsh time has it had to be, to be always on the walk and marching around old helvetia and gaul to find a home, that was free from romans.
Its music like this that makes us treasure our memories good, bad, happy, sad, even those poeple we have lost in our lives. This will always make me remeber and I will never forget.
It's all from the soul. music can speak to you in so many ways. Music is another language another way to express your emotion. It's a natural medicine for me as well.
lost my sister in a car crash in sept of 2005 and I know exactly how you feel! and I have played the bagpipes for 17 years now and play this as well as for the honor guard team when I was active duty military in the navy 4079 services in 3 years of shore duty and I cry myself at every one of them as I was the highest ranking and had to play fold the flag and present it as my junior guys were not allowed to fold or present the flag
Being the last on our branch of the family tree to carry the name (that would be the Braveheart surname), bagpipes go straight to my heart. I will carry my Scottish maiden name with pride as long as I am on Earth. This is so amazingly beautiful. Thank you. I listened with my heart as chills ran up and down my back.
I've been playing Bagpipes since I was 5....21 years later this still brings a tear to the eye! Long live the great highland bagpipe!! Thanks for uploading :)
It's so weird. I'm belgian but i feel some sort of connection with celtic people i don't know why, i always get these goosebumps when i hear songs like these. I feel like i'm ready for a war, unbelievable music.
that's become most of western Europe were celtic it wasn't exclusive to the British Isles. in fact one of the oldest celtic sites found was in a salt mine in Austria.
You're welcome. If you'd like more Celtic music than what's on the hearts of space cd, Mychaeland Jeff Danna have a cd called The Legend of Deirdre as well
I have visions of old Viking tribes and some kinda LotR movie parts in my mind. Imagine the dwarfs drinking honey pork and narrating stories of the old times in the Mines of Moria to this music x)
This tune...! I play it now, learned it by ear, but still wondering where it comes from! The main tune i listen to whenever i feel down, helps me think, wish i could play it with such expression! Cheers!
Gaelic is spoken by the Irish. Scots speak ghlidege (sp) and Manx is also a language spoken in Scotland and well. There is a difference in the languages
I SAY I'M A PROUD CELT AND I KNOW WHERE MY HEART IS AT I WISH FOR ONE LAST DANCE WITH IRISH LEVEL AND BE IN HIS ARMS WITH HIS PLAID WRAPPED AROUND ME AND LISTEN TO HIM PLAY THE BAGPIPES AND HARP
Franklin J. Ells it was a golden raining night in the forest each drop of water had a red & gold touches in them as animals were scurrying for cover until the sound of clip-clops were around as a lonely goat walks with tears dropping as he looks back at the a blazing light from behind him as he starts to sob harder because that blazing ier is his staring home.
@Chimicozzo slight misinformation. These are definately Scottish Greath Highland Bagpipes, but the constant sound of the drones do not usually lend themselves well to recording against a melody. So either the drones were shut off, or this was done with an electronic pipe chanter with the drones not turned on. There is no such instrument known as "Celtic Bagpipes"
I Wish I Could Meditate In That Background Picture With This Music Playing On. Perhaps Controling Your Chi (QI) Will Be Quite Easy If Done On This Background Environment + The THEME_MUSIC. I Love It!!!
I agree! Being in that picture, even if I were to set it as my desktop background, with air temperatures hovering at or near 55 degrees Fahrenheit with relative humidity hovering near probably 90% in that picture, with thunder booming around me, would set me at such peace with electricity crackling through my furry form.
we are all brothers on this green earth. your bro will always be with us in the sound of the pipes

Can't describe it but it puts a stir in the Celts. Pure genetics.
+Darragh Muckell You are absolutely right.
I couldn't put it better myself
...there is nothing quite like the pipes. It is an awakening of the soul!
too epic.... it makes me want to be in another reality, where existence is fitting to this music, unlike this dull life i live
Anton Christin I have rarely related to any other comments the way I relate to this one
You will remember who you are one day 😉
I can only wonder why 8 people would dislike this. it is peaceful and inspiring.
I know, right?
RIP Dad. I’ll never forget you.
Something about flutes, drums and bagpipes brings such sensation above any other concerning instruments to me.
This is Epic. One of my favorite pieces of music.
Makes me feel like my soul has come to the surface....you want cry, smile, and love all at the same time
Im scottish with the exception of a bit of American, French, German, and Cherokee and I normally listen to dubstep(not skrillex) metal and even symphonic. But something about bagpipes puts this kind of thing around the top of my list of favorites.

Celtic also refers to gauls and germans(not sure about those) in roman era.
Correction, it was the first wonder... the rest came with time, but Erin has always been, and always shall be. Erin gu bragh
perhaps the least GHB sounding tune I've heard yet, on the GHB...very nice
