For teachers working with kids with IEP should get special idk heath insurance or something with the school that protects them if they get injured. My child has hit and been hit under different circumstances. He now is in a Academy for kids like him and they all work together. All kids with autism should have the opportunity of these schools. Public school is honestly not a option and wouldn't recognize my son's autism diagnosis. So he treated harshly by adults and kids.
The principle and nurse reported me to social services and they got ripped a new one and now the school must pay for the Academy, transportation and any other support. Our children deserve to be themselves just like all the public school kids.
