Your city needs to get rid of all the graffiti. It's just like gangs marking their territory. Paint over it, power wash it, right away. Our city has a truck that goes around and gets rid of gang symbols and graffiti within 24 hours of someone seeing it. That takes the incentive away from tagging your neighborhood because no one will see it. We also limit how many cans of spray paint you can buy, and teenagers are limited from buying it. No one should have the right to paint their political slogans right on other people's private property, and on public parks.

I never knew what their technical name is). We swept our spaces clear of dust, and we made nice beds with folded blankets or coats we'd scrounged, and we made things as pleasant as possible, there in these narrow little nooks that were too small for (dangerous) adults to squeeze into. _KIDS_ kept our own spaces nice. Why can't these socialist Occupiers keep their own spaces nice? At least not leave behind a biohazard! If they wanted to show the country why people should listen to them, then why won't they make their OWN living spaces more attractive? Is Seattle a safe place to live? I have had some offers for jobs there but did not accept any. All I really know about the city is from RUclips and from the news media.
It's safe if you are talking about the city area. (dtown, capitol hill) you will see people walking around all over at night. Homeless people can be annoying (especially places like starbucks and library) but they are harmless. They are totally different than crackheads came straight out of the jungle in LA. You should worry about the rain more. It will rain till end of May and you should wear jacket till then since it gets cold.
And to think, this is just one park in the city; there are many more like this all over Seattle. I can't believe city government allowed this to go on for as long as it did. Sadly, I give it a few days before Cal Anderson looks like this again. Such a beautiful park, too. It breaks my heart to see what the city I love has become. I hope those that are truly suffering get the help they need. No one should live this way...and no one should have to live around something like this.

In Seattle we have massive amounts of empathy, approx 80k we spend on each unsheltered person per year. We also offer drug substation therapy and maintenance programs. Almost no one accepts the services. It's not that people are mean, it's just drugs are cunning, baffling and powerful.
