Here's the thing.. a healthy diet helps prevent health problems that in the long run are far more expensive to treat in vets fees. I've learned this myself over the last 20yrs of having rabbits and the same with my dog. If you feed them high quality, balanced food close to their natural diet you will have far, far healthier animals. I recently took two of my 9yr old rabbits to the vet for their vaccines and they thought they were about a year old. They were in shock at how healthy and young they looked when I told them they were 9. Did the same with my dog when I had him, took him off of the processed dog food and prepared human grade meat etc (which as a vegan myself wasn't much fun but I did it for his health and wellbeing) . The change was incredible. He had so much energy, he looked several years younger. Other people noticed the difference very quickly. With my rabbits I pay more for high quality hay, but the pay off is that they eat more and have far less GI and dental issues. A rabbit dental usually costs me £200-£500. One of mine needed them every 7 months in his early years. He's now gone nearly 4yrs without needing one despite being a breed that is very prone to dental issues. They say prevention is better than cure. Diet is one of the most important but often overlooked things. It's worth it in the long run

It's a wonder none of the animals have gotten sick! Raw meat can carry bacteria which can cause illness in your dog, just like in people. What's more, even if your dog doesn't become sick he can still become a long-term carrier of dangerous pathogens which can be passed on to people. It is best to, at least, gently cook any meats that are included in your dog's diet

Raw food isn’t even that expensive, I almost always have left overs, mix some veg. And per one week, I get couple of pounds of beef, chops up five portions. Veg, protein, broth. Then for snack, you have slow bowl frozen yogurt banana and I’ll shred some cucumber or carrot for the crunch. Yogurt plain big container, two table spoons and mash banana into it, with something for crunch. She has a lot more energy, specially being an older dog. She had vitamin deficiency and other health problems until I took her off that garbage. Nothing nutritional there to benefit the body whatsoever. I get frozen pig ears for her to snack instead of those fake bones. It’s super cheap and lasts a while. Like 2 bucks or less for three huge ears

The key is the practice of good hand hygiene and storage/preparation areas and ensuring your meat is sourced from reputable suppliers. Best to seek advice from a certified canine/feline nutritionist for educated advice 👌🏻
I agree. Aren't some dogs required to have at least some meat for example a Yakutian Laika Husky? Also, I feed my dogs a mix between dog food and meat.

Your wrong there isn’t anything wrong and it’s a lot healthier…i have 2 pitts and we feed them this way and they are great no issues at all…yes research is definitely good on the journey but don’t discourage what you don’t know about 😊
My dog is raw fed. 8 year old Doberman in amazing health. He eats raw bones duck frames, veal necks and rabbit etc. he’s so healthy my vet can’t get over it. And my cat is raw fed and turns 18 years old in October. So yea I’ll stick with raw.
There isn’t anything wrong with raw meat tho. Dogs have a higher acidity in their stomach, which means they won’t get salmonella or anything like that.
yall just a reminder not to feel bad if you don’t feed your dogs this type of meal, some dogs can’t handle this much rich food, kibble can be better for them. especially with small dogs, although it is good for you to give your dogs a little treat once a while❤️
