The most expensive thing on an electric vehicle is battery so they split the batteries for making a cheaper model with less battery and power so they can sell it for cheaper. More options for the buyers so they can spec it for the usable range they want. And for the engine breaking mimicking is not a gimmick but a real motor regenerative breaking with the electric motor so you get to charge the battery for absorbing some velocity and brake pads don't gets used and improves longevity 😃

Sounds like a milk float (if you’re old enough to remember them).
Nice advert for it come and ride a hazard😂 Joking aside when you consider what new bikes you can buy for that it puts it in perspective, for instance a Honda CRF300 Rally that you could ride around the world on and have a couple grand change. Always good to hear your commentary 👍
Aren’t all bikes hazards in their own ways ✨ but yes, while petrol is still readily available a £7-8k budget could be stretched infinitely. You could buy two very good used bikes for £8k, you could buy a nice car and an alright bike, or you could buy a nice bike and a shopping spree complete with all the food stops you want and a cinema finish. So many possibilities.
I saw this bike at the NEC last year and thought it looked great but, as a 54 year old bloke, I am pretty sure I'm not the target demographic. £7500 is probably too much for it but second hand prices will probably be half of that after a year. I rode a Zero DSR X and a pedestrian walked into the road in front of me. Bring on the electric future but let me keep a petrol bike too, please! Ooooh, is Pinky feeling better now?
Wow, you could buy a Honda CB125F for AUD 3,500 which would give you the same speed, nippiness and a lot more range, with a 5 minute fill up and weighing 115kg. Hmmm, still not convinced about electric bikes. Wasn't convinced after watching The Long Way Up and this still doesn't convince me. Nice vid though - liked the country lanes
Probably a few miles lost 😬 I’m not sure I could get to and from the bike meet on one ‘tank’, that was a problem I had when I borrowed the Super Soco - I could get to and from work where I would charge it, but not to and from work via detour anywhere, 60 miles seems alright on paper but goes pretty quick
@@R1_Liz lol, guess I never noticed. We'll get moss in the road in the US Northwest, but grass is really throwing down the gauntlet for poor road maintenance.
Cool ... been wanting a go on one of these since they popped up on the socials. Any chance you could get your hands on a Maeving RM1 or RM1S @maevingelectricmotorcycles to do a ride review? 🙏🩷
"This would be perfect for crime....." literally made me spit out my tea!
Gotta think outside the box here 🤷♀️
@@R1_Liz We were all thinking it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
really nice place to ride, interesting the BMW CE-02

Omg I do remember them you’re exactly right 😂
Ah that well known Ludacris song. Move squirrel, get out the way. Get out the way squirrel, get out the way!

It's the perfect urban commuter where you have a 10-20 each way commute. I don't mind the sound but not suited for a back country sunday blast
Agree, it’d be so fun in a tightly packed city

That looksfun
“The BMW CE-02 - perfect for crime” 😂
Small, stealthy…
I work for bmw and since they come out iv been thinking of getting one as a run around for work during the nicer weather 😂😂
Hope the staff discount is substantial
Think I'll stick with the Akrapovic 4 into 1version, alot better getaway vehicle for crime use 😂
Looks like someone gave a heads-up that you were going to ride this on the public roads? :)
They heard me squealing and fled
How was the range affected by leaving the indicator on for so long? 😂
I'd have one for a commuter machine - but I'd never take it to a bike meet!

Is there enough room for two people?
Yes, not sure how that’d effect its range and/or speed but you can get another person on the seat
I've never seen grass growing in the middle of a paved street. 😂
Must be your first time seeing my channel then 😅

👋😘
I see it doesn’t have self cancelling indicators!
My RR does and it’s broken my brain 🤦♀️
@@R1_LizI would have the same problem for sure, got used to them!
what the hell is that tihing 🤣🤣
See where BMW got the idea for the styling of the tank on the new GSA now lol
Innit cute!!
🤭🤗
Could be handy if you wanted one to hang on the back of a motorhome.
At 120kg it could probably go on the roof rack
Those modes made no sense at all they may as well have called them washing, dryer and ironing.
BMW do love their creative naming of modes. A bit more fun than ‘A, B, C and sometimes D’ but I will never understand what ‘Surf’ could mean
I still prefer it to a bloated Can-am tricycle. 😅
*clutches pearls*
@@R1_Liz Ace comment. 🤣🤣
The Can-Am's very stylish compared to that
@sizzers58 They're both as ugly as homemade soap, but the BMW at least gets by on two wheels.
Electric 😢😢😢
Soz, but never ever.
One day curiosity will get you. You don’t have to like it, but surely you’re a little bit nosey?
@@R1_Liz You know what curiosity did!.
Flash in the pan stuff. Yuk.
An e-scooter looks better than that thing...
