The study of the Church’s demonology is a part of basic catechism and Christian instruction. The Scriptures are replete with teaching on the dark powers. Additionally, it is impossible to appreciate the magnitude of the saving deeds of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, without understanding how He, and He alone, has conquered Satan and destroyed his works. Lastly, Christians are called to fight and win in the spiritual war, and for this reason, it is essential that believers understand their enemies and their tactics. Toward this end, Father Josiah presents in these lectures in-depth studies of the Scriptures, Divine Services, and pedagogy of great saints and teachers on the subject of Satan and spiritual battle.

Dear Fr. Josiah, I too saw the holy spirit. It was after my 3 sons baptismal my own Chrismation into orthodoxy. I was washing and wringing out their white baptismal towels. The water was clear. When I went to empty the bucket, the water as I poured it into my garden turned a flame purple blue. I cannot even explain the colour to you as it was bright and radiating. I felt so blessed to have seen him. I immediately knew it was him and praised the lord!. Just thought I would share that.
As a once Pentecostal being drawn towards Orthodoxy this was mind blowing and beautiful

I noticed the presence of the holy spirit just a couple of hours ago as i was walking, then i saw two doves fly by. I thought “Holy spirit you are here” and now this video gets posted an hour later

I haven't learned theology, but this explanation of the Holy Spirit were born in my heart too. Now I know, that it was truly revealed to me by God, by the Holy Trinity, through the Holy Spirit. Thank you! God bless you!

Based on the history of the church,. its leaders, and its atrocities, its seems the holy spirit has been grieved. And also we too have grieved the holy spirit at times in our lives Paul spoke of the sainthood of all believers. We are all Saints .The saints of old like Augustine had struggles which he spoke of. Abraham, Moses, King David, all made mistakes and grieved god, The apostle Paul spoke of his thorn in the flesh, but was told ""my grace is sufficient for thee". The apostle Peter was rebuked by the apostle Paul, for his error in Galatians 2...We all reflect the Holy Spirit in our lives, we can all grieve the Holy Spirit .We are all his beloved saints so be encouraged, we are all fickle yet loved by the God the Lord Jesus our saviour and the Holy Spirit. We are all as Paul spoke of in so many verse's of the new testament, his saints ..Thank you Father God for your blessed love and mercy

…And the Holy Spirit is manifest in us (and all of creation). In Him “we live and move and have our being.” Everything that is is the incarnation of God.

I feel very deeply and prayerfully that I am being very strongly urged to emigrate, to a new land, to give my children a new life. It is such a powerful series of events, and it is only inertia that is stopping us from just going. The Holy Spirit seems so very busy in our Parish though, and this is making me feel torn between two courses of action. I wonder if we are supposed to take all the Parish with us!!!
Emigrate to where? Don't be too hasty.
You should discuss this with your (Orthodox) priest and/or spiritual father. Not with your feelings, and certainly not with a RUclips comment section.
Satan is more than capable of provoking strong emotional feelings.

From the context sounds like some kind of experience of light or radiance. He specified seeing the "glory" not a man or face or anything
God The Father sends The Holy Spirit… and Iisus had to leave for the apostle’s faith in Him and God to be proven (with Him there they were close to God but they needed to keep the same level of faith and relationship with God without His physical presence) only then God (The Father) would (and did) send The Holy Spirit to them … God is the Truth and God is perfect🕊☦️ and I am not, so I may be wrong
but this is what I’ve learned trough our Orthodox Church teachings, the church of my forefathers, this view is derived from all our wise saints and holy fathers … so the Holy Spirit comes to the faithful, true believers in God and Iisus as Part of God because He is The word of God made flesh even in this fallen sinful world…

I wonder if this man honestly have prayed to the Holy Spirit to be shown the truth of reincarnation.
Reincarnation is a corruption of the Resurrection. Buddhist monks copied and corrupted teachings like these from the Apostles like St. Thomas who travelled through Asia.
Reincarnation is not true. So if he had prayed to the Holy Spirit and received a lie, he would know he was not hearing the Holy Spirit.
@@rachelsbj1373 That is a prime example of religious dogma and dishonesty badly masked as fidelity. To say that the Holy Spirit only says things that exactly matches the certain belief structure of the 'christian' church one belongs to and call any other message false is just so contrary to the very essence of what Christ taught us. I have spoken to so many 'christians' that believes orthodoxy is filled with falsity and is corrupted - and when I defend it and say it contains lots of truth I often get bashed even if I tell them I am not orthodox! Always this never ending enmity among believers. So prideful to believe only in the prophets, saints, teachers in one's own favourite tradition/church.
I dare you to pray about this yourself.
