Back in the '70s, when I lived in Toronto where I grew up, my grade 7 home room teacher, Mrs Anderson, God rest her soul, would always start the lesson each morning by reading from the Bible and I went to a public school not a private, religious school. She did not force the Bible upon us, she read verses that would appeal to our age..... Keep speaking out and praying against this evil that is overtaking the world.
In school, as the school day began, there was a prayer, the pledge (including "...under God"). The prayer, albeit, was a protestant prayer, but. still... Brefore every football game, a prayer (over the stadium's loudspeaker system). This was 1962, granted. The country in which I grew up is all but gone.

We are also veteran homeschoolers. We lived right around the corner from our local library when my older children were still young, and I knew that if my son wasn’t in the house, he was at the library. I stopped going to the library with my youngest child about 12 years ago because the classic books were slowly disappearing and being replaced by books about witchcraft and vampires. Fortunately we had an extensive juvenile library at home by that time, so going to the library had become more of a pleasant habit than a necessity. There is so much great literature for children and young adults that there’s no need to expose young impressionable minds to garbage just to get them to read, which is the excuse used to justify those awful books. Garbage in, garbage out. Or, as a man thinketh, so he does.

My daughter and I had to stop going to our library because of the drag queen story hour. There were a couple of protests against it, but my Canadian city has made protests against LGTBTQ activism illegal… Lord have mercy.
I suggest criativity...maybe if you say you are protesting their indecent clothing or usage of sexual innuendo, anything else other than the lgbt thing...maybe people can protest without being arrested. Idk we need to find a way. In my country, Portugal, it didnt get so far but its coming sadly

But we also have to understand that democracy means having to deal with stuff you don't like/ or goes against your beliefs. I'm not sure how bad either side is in the USA but knowledge and understanding how others feel and accepting that people are different are very important parts of how a society works and especially Christianity. The bible says to draw others closer to God through how you live and express your faith, and how one sees and judges others is how God will see and judge you. Public and private discussion is necessary, but everyone is a child of God. Even those whose choices and decisions we don't agree with. A public institution must cater to ALL the public. Banning books is on par with disregarding the scientific accomplishments of those who made the US space programme because they were NAZI and there science was made during WWII, or the medical knowledge gained from their human experiments (my father's uncle came back missing ribs and emasculated along with other issues) which led to ways on healing hypothermia, medicinal breakthroughs, genetics and other scientific achievements people benefit from everyday. Perhaps people can turn these books into a lesson. We talk about the saint from Egypt (?) The Orthodox should either set up a rough parallel to the Catholic school system (I know there are individual Orthodox schools but the strength in creating coherent curricula lies in a coherent school system) or if that is not possible, approach our school systems with the understanding nothing is taught contradictory to Orthodoxy (which frankly shouldn’t be difficult). Strength lies in unity and numbers. We had Orthodox students in our schools and they did not appear offended.
We can't have our children in Roman Catholic schools as they teach things about their faith which is heresy to us and kids go to Mass, which our children can't. So, the only option is individual schools when places can get funding, or homeschool.
Maybe a unified Christian school system and then each christian attends their own liturgies and churches. With a consel composed of the different confession priests. But ensuring no contamination from perverse ideologies and the promotion of the 10 commandments and love of Jesus.
