    It’s not going to be a “hidden gem” for long with you all blasting it on social media. I get you want to sell real estate but you’re trying to oversell Ventura County and that’s how things become overpopulated.

    Why have you guys not made a video on why Oxnard is such a paradise? The east side of Cooper Rd is an Oasis in Southern California. I love it!! 🤣🤣🤣

    I have not been there in many years. Glad to know that it has that quaint feel about it, still. I remember Fillmore, as well, and the scenic drive on hwy 23. Is Piru and Val Verde in Ventura County, as well? Thanks for the Vlog!

      Thank you so much for your comment. We will be talking about fillmore next year and hope you like it. Piru is in Eastern Ventura county but Val Verde is in LA county. Would you like us to do a video on those as well? We love finding new places and learning about them. Is there anything you would like us to take a look at in those areas?
      We also love the drive on highway 23. It is still beautiful.

      @@livinginventuracounty1071 I mentioned Val Verde because my uncle lived there on a house on 5 acres on a hill when he was heading up construction of Magic Mountain. I'd spend the weekend at his house there and he would give me a hard-hat tour of Magic Mountain under construction. In fact I have his original hard-hat on my shelf, and his poster of Magic Mountain that he had in his office. He picked the site of the park, named it, and was the President of it in 1971 and 72. Was Indian Dunes in Ventura County? I also remember when the Santa Clara river flooded in 1969. Will look forward to a Vlog on Fillmore. Maybe something about Simi Valley? Thank you!

      @@livinginventuracounty1071 Yes, definitely. I took pics, which I still have, of driving around those areas. I remember stopping at the A &W hamburger/root beer place at the top of HWY 23 right as you arrived in Fillmore. That was in in the mid 1970's, would like to drive it again to see how it may have changed!

    I lived in SP and Fillmore from 1970(birth date) to 2003. SP was once very diverse, had a wonderful drive in, Jc Penney, best Chinese food (Lins), best Corn burritos in the county, best Chili dogs (Mary Bs), great pizza (Family Pizza) a bowling alley, etc, etc. The school district was very good as well. I have visited on occasion, mainly family still there and I don’t recognize it. Or how it once was.
    I will say, if you live in the hills or leaving town, you’re a-ok.

      Thank you so much for your input it is greatly appreciated. So many places have changed from when we grew up. My hometown is also unrecognizable so is the town I went to college. I took my daughter to Price, Ut. to show her my college and nothing looked the same.

      @@livinginventuracounty1071 One thing that you can mention, if not already is Steve Mcqueen's residency in SP. His home is on the other side of the airport. I was fortunate enough to have been invited in by the new owners several years ago. Also, the famous Hot Rod artist Von Duch settled in Santa Paula before he passed in the early 90s. Santa Paula has a great deal of movie history from the iconic house in Carrie to many other famous movies, When Stallone was filming Cobra in Piru, he came in one day to the local Foster Freeze, one of my best friends was working and Stallone signed a napkin for him. Yup, SP has some great history.

      I've lived in Santa Barbara, Channel Islands and Santa Monica and moved to Santa Paula about 5 years ago and SP has WAY WAY WAY less drugs, theft and violent crime than either of the other cities I've lived in. The cops here respond ten times faster too. The last thing I remember when leaving Santa Monica was my neighbors Benz up on blocks, had his rims jacked that night. It was like that every week on our street and that was the "nice" part of town.

    Rediculus prices for homes in SP

      Santa Paula's home prices have increased. It was the first city in Ventura County to be hit with price reductions when the interest rates increased but they have bounced back. Do you live here?

    30 min drive to the beach? Man you drive slow as molasses in the wintertime, I make it in 15 min. This is a pretty fair assessment of SP . The lack of street paving is a travesty.

    Santa Paula is truly paradise lost. The town is now probably 90% Mexican, many of whom don’t speak English, and it shows majorly. Quality of life in this town is declining every year.

    • @Lissgar03
      @Lissgar03 8 месяцев назад +3

      Santa Paula has always been majority hispanic. WDYM. Of course majority doesnt speak english. If you were a native to Santa Paula you would have known that. There are so many out of towners moving in, trying to change the little small town that is Santa Paula. If you want luxury then go to Beverly Hills and please leave Santa Paula to its natives. Thank You.
