I believe it’s essential to approach complex characters like those in 'Arcane' with careful observation and nuance. The show excels at weaving subtle details into its narrative, and overlooking these can lead to misinterpretations that detract from its depth. Characters in 'Arcane' are layered, and their actions often reflect a mix of motivations influenced by trauma, relationships, and their environment. For instance, the girl Jinx sees at the beginning isn’t Vi but rather a manifestation of her trauma, triggered by similarities in appearance. Jinx’s attachment to her lost friends is reflected in the dolls she creates, which mirror their likeness and represent her lingering guilt and grief. Silco’s behavior toward Jinx is another rich area for analysis-his stern demeanor shifts to one of care and trust with her, highlighting a complicated father-daughter dynamic. Even the details in Silco’s office, filled with elements tied to Jinx’s creativity and mental state, reveal the deep bond and influence they share. Focusing on these small yet significant details-dialogue, visual cues, and character interactions-not only enhances the viewing experience but also ensures a deeper understanding of the story. Without that attention, the series as a whole might lose its intended emotional and psychological impact. Your insights are engaging, and with a more deliberate and detail-oriented approach, your analyses could resonate even more deeply with your audience.
I really think this is the BEST type of feedback I could hear, thank you for that. It is never easy watching so many videos for the first time every week, along with doing my actual job as a therapist. Your feedback helps me know the show better, and inspires me to look more deeply in certain ways, giving me the chance to get and give more. Thank you again for everything you said😊🙏
@@ReactionTherapyOfficial One aspect of Heimerdinger, I think, that is relevant to the character's thought process is his exceptionally long lifespan. It seemed to me that this lends itself to long term risk adverse thinking.... Heimerdinger can take his time and doesn't always keep in mind that others in this world do not have the same luxury. Also, I'd suggest there is a social class bubble element that insulates him from the reality of the undercity. The lovable little fluffball might turn out to be a villain though. I wouldn't want to spoil any of the glorious character arcs.
you should take all the responses in and use them to better things. I appreciate this response as it explains things perfectly. But you have to be able to take feedback without it always being wrapped up in a nice bow.@@ReactionTherapyOfficial
That part is one of very few problems I have with the series. The edit is meant to put us in Jinx's confused headspace, and does so a little too effectively. The girl looks a little too similar to Vi, and neither Silco nor Jinx is able to unambiguously confirm that it wasn't actually her: Silco, because we don't trust him and he has motive to deceive her, and Jinx, because she is emotionally unstable and psychologically unreliable, and could be in denial.
He seems not familiar with movies, series. Especially the animation ones... 😅 In many films, symbols are important too. If a character is fluffy and small, then that character possess no harm. It's safe to trust them. But there is still a room for plot twist to happen. Like that fluffy character is actually evil. But most of the time, cute characters are goos character.
Because apparently he's remembering wrong and thinks that heimerdinger was putting the 'vanish him' sentence (the robot was, I think) instead of the 'just expell him from school'@@Adonna2424
18:35 they totally are codependent but the shimmer jinx gives silco is medical! his eye is infected because vander stabbed him when they fought in the river, which is very contaminated. so to keep it from spreading, silco uses a medical version of shimmer. imo jinx administering the shot he needs is a sign of trust from him. they are a very complicated father-daughter duo to say the least
@@dylanholm9995He did it by himself in Act 1 fine, I think it shows how he made her feel useful bc she didn’t have any confidence after Mylo kept bullying her
Vander punched his eye (no stabbed), the toxin's in the river damaged his eye. Either the ministrations by the alchemist doctor (Singed) further corrupted his eye or lack of proper care caused it to further devolve into a Shimmer producing organ. Silco is NOT getting injections of Shimmer INTO his eye, he is having the excess Shimmer drained from his eye via a lancet. You always are shown the inside of the lancet and it contains NO SHIMMER (no purple glow anywhere). There are also scenes when you see it used on places other than his eye and no Shimmer is dribbles out, only when it punctures his eye do you see Shimmer. This concept of a biological factory to produce Shimmer precursor chemicals is what the "Doctor" Singed is doing with the axolotl/salamander-like critter named Rio, that is the mutation he is seeking to cultivate. A tissue extract that can be developed into an organ that produces Shimmer. You see one of those organs pulsing atop the Shimmer vats in every scene where they are shown.
@@PeachHeadzAddiction yeah, in front of people, while a giving a speech to Deckard, he did it "just fine" because he had to look strong. But later in S1 when Jinx was missing, it was shown that alone, in his office, he struggled to do it by himself. He probably hated doing it, since it is shown it caused him to be in pain and disoriented for a few seconds. So to hide these effects in act 1, it must have taken a lot out of him, but he still had to do it to not show weakness. So I would say it is more likely he wasn't scared to show weakness in front of Jinx and she herself volunteered to help him after seeing him struggle.
@@Kat-qf7ov I agree with you, for sure he felt safe around her I'm sure he got used to her doing it, when you do something painful to yourself everyday you get used to it, why he fumbled and couldn't do it well anymore haha Also a great tool to show they're quite co-dependent
@@JoLi08-u7t Hey, a LOT of folks were confused by that, given we had only ever seen one other person with pink hair and the anime tradition of characters with unique hair.
"Good people" "bad people" is kinda reductive for this series. Most of the characters in this series end up screwing up BIG time at least once, and some do good things for bad reasons, just as they do bad things for good reasons. Even the worst people have something compelling going for them, and no character is a saint.
He hasnt seen the show yet. He doesn’t know Silco well enough. So from just we see and know it makes total sense to antagonize Silco. Like honestly he reacts like the writers intended.
@@aetherwolf9288 this isn't really about Silco though, I just think him trying to parse out whether someone is a "good guy or a bad guy" whenever we meet new characters isn't the best way to approach the show.

VI was never like "I'm done with you, get out of here, stay out of my life" at the end of the third episode. She was upset and called her a jinx but she wasn't going to abandon her. she TRIED to go back and Marcus stopped her
Silco is stoic, cold, demands authority when he speaks to sevika (and everyone else), but not towards jinx. He speaks soft, and gets emotional, he cares about her more than he even realizes
@@Deluxuz Yes, does very evil things, but in his mind, everything he does is for a greater good. I think to be called truly evil you have to enjoy hurting others. Silco wants to do good, but he believes the ends justify the means. Don't get me wrong, he is definitely not a good person, but it's still not all black or white, just like everything else in the show.
Lol?? Heimerdinger wasn't trying to get Jayce banished. He told Jayce to keep his mouth shut about magic, which he didn't do, so he was gonna get banished for violating the ethos. Then his mom pleaded for his case, and Heimerdinger capitalised on that sympathy to only get Jayce kicked out of the academy instead of being banished.
You completely misunderstood some characters and went all the way with it. I think you need to pay more attention to the lines. For example, when Jinx was saying "One of those was a girl with a pink hair" you could've figured that girl she shot wasn't Vi. When Heimerdinger said "Putting that kind power into everyone's hand is dangerous" you could've figured Heimer had exactly the same reason like yours to safe guard the new technology. With misinformation like this, you blamed it on Heimer when Jinx stole the gem stone. It's creating completely different scenario separate from the show's narrative. I would appreciate it if you pay more attention to what they're saying.
It's because he is too busy pausing and talking from the top of his head, often trying to predict what will happen, or just drawing conclusions before he has all the perspectives. He should just listen, let stuff sink in before he reflect. Like before/after each episode, and not by pausing every 30 sec 😅
@@butterfliesandmothsyou guys must not know how reaction channels go but they usually always talk throughout and give their opinion, let the man breathe were 4 episodes in and hes never played the game, I've seen many other content creators with no past experience with the lore have the same problems
@FivesRust Nope. Most reactors dont pause during a movie/episode. They buckle up and enjoy the ride, then they reflect and give their thoughts. He is more focused on what to say, than absorbing the story and character, which leads to him jumping the gun to early and talking like 30 min about something he misunderstood. It has nothing to do with that he havent played the game or doesnt know the lore (neither have I), that's beside the point. He need to approach this differently, it will take all of his focus. And he need to let the characters sink in, as he underestimates its complexity. If he doesnt adept and change his mindset and the way he approaches the show, I dont think he will be able to see it through.
at this point... he should probably start over... he's just not understanding the show, or characters at all... I'm more curious now, to see if he can right the ship and understand what's going on before he gives up because of his misinterpretations.... than to hear the insightful therapist breakdowns of these incredibly complex characters, i was expecting when he started this series.
for being a therapist... he is making some VERY odd reads on some of these characters... and is jumping to conclusions VERY quickly. These are not one-dimensional caricatures of people.... they are fully fleshed out characters. It's like "Oh silco looks evil... he is pure evil, there can be nothing good about him", "he's manipulating powder, he renamed her jinx", "heimerdinger is giving me evil vibes, he must be evil", "Vi is so pure and perfect, she can take on anybody" It's odd.... you'd think he'd know that people are WAY more complex than that. Like it never even occurred to him that Jinx gave HERSELF that name. Or that Heimerdinger is simply scared.
I'm not gonna lie, it is very odd for a therapist. He judges people really quick without trying to understand them and see the many other layers to them. I thought we would get a more insightful take. These takes seem more immature.
@@believeume122 I also love when shows demand attention and thought from the viewer, this show basically requires multiple viewings to get the full picture of (I’m still finding new things from the first season and I’ve been watching since it first came out)
I understand that this comment will probably not be read but if you are. Please rewatch or/and analyze the previous episodes. There are many comments you have made that inform me that you don't understand what the characters were saying/doing. Because this show doesn't rehash a characters actions multiple times you have been left with assumptions that are to be frank. Blatantly incorrect.
Vi has NOT seen her sister that was not her on the airship. I suggest rewatching the scene and slow it down. It's a girl with pink hair that looked like Vi. nd Jinx straight up murdered her. That's quite obvious and it has been stated more than once in the show it wasn't Vi. Vi has been in prison ever since she was kidnapped by Marcus in Ep3 Jinx tells Silco it was girl with pink hair. Not that "I saw my sister" and Silco tells her "Your sister is gone and she says "I know" then when she is alone she says to herself "It wasn't her". The show isn't throwing red herrings out there. They are telling you its not Vi and the prison scene at the end is the final proof. That the girl Jinx shot look ANYTHINH like Vi?
Glad you're still watching! As for Heimerdinger, i don't think it's a spoiler to tell/remind you that he's the founder of piltover. He is a magical species called a yordle and is a spirit manifested so hes technically immortal. He has watched the world be destroyed by magic, he said it when sentencing jayce (He got Jayce saved from being imprisoned, he let him off with best case scenario). His heart is by far the purest in this show by miles. I think its fair to say the show has given enough hints of that😂
@zeldaxninja3214 hahaha all yordles look like that to an extent, lil furry guys. Some are cuteish some are bizzare looking. But all of them are spirits attuned to the spirit realm, who grew physical forms to interact with all beings. If they die, they simply go back to the spirit realm to be reborn again.
@@zeldaxninja3214 If you remember Smeech, the other "troll-looking" guy with the augments who fought Sevika in S2, he is also a yordle. And so is the lady leading the brothel.
kind of feels like he should just start over at this point,. He's talked over critical dialog, misinterpreted just about every character.... It's really mind blowing to watch someone who listens, and analyzes, for a living.... not do one at all and as a result completely fail in the other.
Most of the "therapy" starts in season 2. This season is about exploring what happens after ep 3 and the consequences of the class divide and corrupt cops.
I don't know.... I think he may regret it.... since he doesn't seem to be following the show/characters at all... I mean, he thinks Heimerdinger is a villain, is convinced Vander and Vi are Saint's and Jinx is simply being manipulated by the pure evil that is silco. Pretty sure with that mindset, it's going to be impossible to follow the story or enjoy the depth of the characters and their development.
I'm pretty sure the pink haired girl at the beginning isn't actually Vi. Vi has been in prison the whole time, the girl Jinx saw just happened to have pink hair and it gave her PTSD
This is just some critisizm but i think reason you missunderstand so many things is because, you see a scene, and then you pause, and say how you think its exactly as it is. then couple of seconds or minutes later its something else, and you dont get it since in your head its already what you talked about. if that makes sense....
THIS This has happened so many times.... He's jumps to a conclusion, VERY quickly.... then either misses a key detail disproving his assumption (the face reveal that it wasn't vi)... or is so set in his thinking he just misses when Jinx flat out says it wasn't Vi.
It's not Vi, it's just a Firelight with the same hair color. Vi and Powder/Jinx haven't so much as clapped eyes on each other since the night Vander, Benzo, and the boys died. Vi was thrown in prison that night and had been there ever since.
In the transfership that wasnt Vi that getting shot by Jinx. Its just a girl with pink hair looking like her. Vi has been in prison for all these years
I’m glad you decided to continue I just hope you slow down on reacting to scenes so quickly & initially as you are mistaking a lot of what is going on & misreading situations. A lot of what is done in Arcane is subtle so you have to be prepared to take everything in & pay attention to all the nuances to understand the characters.
Oh by the way, Silco is not manipulating Jinx (powder). He see's himself in her because he was also betrayed by his brother (Vander) and that's why he took her in. He loves her like his own daughter, you'll see it more and more in future episodes. And it's powder that wanted to be named Jinx.
Vi wasnt the one who was shot by jinx it was a random character Vis been in the prison since episode 3 (so about 7 years) Also fun fact the guy she beat up in prison is one of the silco goons she beat up as a kid!
I really like your perspective coming from an educated mental health professional. But I wish you would be careful using labels like "good guys" and "bad guys." I think it detracts from one of the more beautiful themes in the show.
yeah the girl jinx shot was not vi just someone that reminded her of vi. that's important to know but love to see you back reacting to this so exited for you to watch more everyone have an amazing xmas
I don't really understand why I feel this way but--- you've made an entirely different narrative in your head than what's actually being portrayed in the story and missing out on a lot of the epicness that is Arcane's narrative and it hurts my soul. There's gotta be some science behind this or something 'cause this actually hurts to watch even though I know pretty much nothing about you in the slightest. Anyway, great reaction but OML please understand what's going on.
I'm seriously only watching now to see if he can right the ship and undertsand what is happening and who the characters are.... before his misconceptions make him quit. My hope for thoughtful analysis from a therapist pertaining to some of the most complex and nuanced characters ever in fiction.... is pretty much gone at this point. it's still a fascinating watch, pertaining to the human mind... but I didn't go in expecting to be doing the psych analysis of the reactor...
It's worth pointing out that only Powder could've made the conscious decision to call herself Jinx. Silco may or may not have heard Vi call her such in episode 3 but he has no inclination of it's significance as he was not present during the many times Mylo calls Powder out on being a "Jinx" because she "ruins every job." Powder is calling herself Jinx because she is trying to distance herself from the pain of that night in episode 3 by owning it rather than fearing it. Her bombs now work. She leaves drawn neon monkey faces like a calling a card, "I did that", as if to say "You think you know what a jinx is?....."
Powder renamed herself, Silco had no knowledge of Mylo and Vi calling her Jinx, so Powder took on the name Jinx whether to to make the insult her own, something empowering, meaning, You think I'ma Jinx,I'l show all of you what a Jinx can do. Type of thing. And boy oh boy Silco's and Jinx's connection is so much more complex,Will continue to grow moreso. Silco is more of an Anti-Villain since his Goal/Ambition is a Noble one that even Vander wanted. Zaun's Freedom, yet through questionable and even unethical means. Wonder if Silco keep his Do anything for Power philosophy now that he has Jinx/Powder in his life.
It's definitely a series that you should watch more than once. I would recommend taking a break between episodes though, as realy every episode is so good.
Some clarifications the small Professor did NOT want Jayce to be Banished, he told him what to say to get a milder sentence, Jayce mentioned the Arcane anyways and was facing Banishment from the whole City but with Heimerdingers& Jayce's Mothers words it got downgraded to banishment from the academy. The Professor was also opposed to Arcane/Magic being used at all and adviced against it. The group on Hoverboards at the start found the purple drug that turns people into those things and wanted to burn it, good or evil you make of that what you will.
When I saw this, it felt like Christmas. And it was! Merry Christmas. And I see things this way: Vi reacted badly, but not as badly as she could. Considering she lost it and harmed Jinx in her anger, she only walked away to cool off and think about things. It was quite a lot that just happened. She didn't plan to leave Jinx there. And it's hard to blame Jinx too much. She went against Vi's instructions, but she was afraid of losing everyone and wanted to prove herself, and she's just a kid. It was just bad luck. And sure, some bad choices that turned out very much worse than anyone would have imagined. By the way, don't beat yourself up if you don't keep up completely with understanding what's happening in this series. It is fast-paced in the details. It's a great series for repeated viewings, you'll see something you missed each time. I caught myself giggling when I read that shirt "Mental Health Matters" while you're talking about Jinx. This is pretty fun watching someone in your field experiencing this series. They never show it, but I'm pretty sure Powder renamed herself to Jinx as a reminder that she has a new life and identity now. I imagine what actually happened was she always wanted to find out what happened to Vi, but since she hasn't heard any leads, only stories that Vi died, she can only assume Vi is either dead or gone away, so this new identity allows herself to cope with her sister and her previous family being gone. By naming herself the last thing Vi called her and wearing the label proudly, it gives her some sense of triumph over her past and retaliation against her siblings criticisms of her. As in "You want to call me a jinx? I'll show you a Jinx!"
glad you are sticking with it....the show as a whole is SO good... and while yes, there are some (very) hard parts... The emotional lows are the entire reason the highs worth it.
That's disappointing enough but what I really can't believe is a therapist referring to characters as "good people" or "bad people". I came for some psychological nuance I may not have had enough technical knowledge to catch on my own.
@@Cat-o-mancer yup, some of the most complex and nuanced characters ever in fiction... just ripe for thoughtful and insightful analysis.... and he's come up with the most reductive and frankly incorrect conclusions about who they are and what their motivations are. Every time this show knocks you down and makes you want to quit on it, it turns right around and sucks you back in. The level of complexity of these characters is so above and beyond 99% of other movies & shows, and the storytelling is just insanely good! The rollercoaster ride really is just beginning.
lets gooo so happy you gave a second chance just to clarify jinx freeze because she thinked it was vi when she saw that pink hair girl, but when she saw that wasnt her then she killed her. it wasn't vi cause she was on prision (and no vi didnt have tattoos when she was younger 😂 the VI in her chick its new) and for the last i know you get it already that silco its the new vander for jinx, but many people thinks because of the strange approach between them that they're lovers or something like that BUT NO THEY ARE NOT REMEMBER THAT it's supposed to look strange trust me!
Jinx is NOT injecting Shimmer INTO Silco's eye. She is releasing, via the brass lancet device, the shimmer that his eye is producing. His eye has become corrupted into an organ that produces Shimmer (a very raw unrefined Shimmer precursor chemical). You can clearly see in the scenes with the lancet that it contains no Shimmer. Silco has been using that lancet since BEFORE Shimmer entered the human trial phase. In the S1EP1 end-scene is the first time we see him use it, which was before the test with the rat and the cat, while it was still in animal testing.
This has always been my interpretation, that Silco is lancing his eye to relieve pressure, but someone pointed out the fact that he often flicks it a couple times before using it as though he was trying to dislodge bubbles inside the chamber. So I'm not entirely sure either way. It's kind of ambiguous.
@@BlackShardStudio It IS ambigious. But the showrunners never fail to let you know that there is a shimmer vial present, via a purple glow, and you never see a purple blow in the lancet. You also see it used on Silco's cheeks and no Shimmer dribbles out of his cheeks, only his eye.
Please continue watching! This series is the best media I've ever watched. The relationship between jinx and silco is so complicated and as the series progresses id love to hear it from your perspective
So glad you decided to do one more. Really hope you keep on going to the end because this show has a way of sinking its hooks in you and pulling you in. You are going to have other characters besides just Vander to love and this show does a really good job of portraying each character as complex with their own morals and moral struggles. Happy Holidays to you and yours, sir! 😊 Edit: Also, for context, the time gap between episodes 3 and 4 is roughly 7-8 years. There's another time jump in season 2, again between episodes 2 and 3, but that one is roughly 6 months.
Wow, I'm glad you decided to continue watching and hope you will enjoy it ! I'm not sure Arcane is the kind of show to stop watching every 30 seconds to comment it, though... The characters are complex and layered, no one is completly good or evil. What's more, each scene is extremely dense, and you have to pay close attention to what's being said, shown and suggested (either by the background or the subtext). I understand the goal here is for people to see your reactions, though. It's just a shame it might distract you from details you could enjoy more if you were a little bit more... selfish about it and focused on what you're watching more than on what's interesting to say about it. Welcome on board anyway ! :)
All I'll say about Arcane.. There's lots of pain ahead, but there's also lots of catharsis ahead in the story. Episode 3 is the show that hooks people in. It's the episode where people realize "oh this isn't just a "cartoon". The characters are more than Heros or Villains, they're complex with genuine motivations, and they go through some intense moments, but I do believe it ends with a some truly beautiful heartfelt moments in the end. The general consensus is that episode 4 is after a 7ish year timeskip. And Vi's been in prison since Marcus snatched her at the end of episode 3.
The medicine that Jinx gives to Silco is such a good way of showing how much he trusts and relies on her. He's at his most vulnerable in those moments and she's the only one he'll trust to administer it. Silco puts on a front for everyone except Jinx. He defends her actions against Sevika, and has patience to approach her. It's early on, so you won't get their full relationship just yet, but he didn't expect to bring Powder back with him that night at the docks. He's clearly equipping her with the right materials for her experiments, even if they are violent. The bonus is that they're useful to him.
Vi and jinx never saw each other.... Jinx thought she saw vi but it was just another person with the same hair color... Vi been in prison for so many years....
that girl that jinx shot wasnt vi!! it was just a girl with pink hair that reminded her of her sister. they havent actually seen each other since episode 3
The girl that Jinx shot on the ship wasn’t Vi but another girl with the same hair color. The hair triggered those memories. Vi was in prison since the night Vander and friends were killed.
Jinx and Silco's relationship is by far one of the most fascinating I've seen in a while. When Silco first saw Powder, he had all the intention of taking advantage of that little girl, but it changed when he saw himself in her, in his head, Vi abandoned Powder, just like Vander abandoned him. It is true, their relationship is very unhealthy coated with manipulation and codependency, but also with love. Both Silco and Jinx are deeply unhealthy people, and can't love eachother in a healthy way, but is love nonetheless.
Glad you stuck with it! You won't regret it. Just please don't watch Season 2 or you'll make a liar out of me. I can't even put my finger on exactly why Season 1 hit me like it did, but the effect is real.

They also say in S2 that he was simply scared to do it himself. I think it’s kinda meant to humanize him a little bit.
@@Kat-qf7ov
I agree with you, for sure he felt safe around her
I'm sure he got used to her doing it, when you do something painful to yourself everyday you get used to it, why he fumbled and couldn't do it well anymore haha

THIS PLEASE MY GOD I WISH HE WOULD STOP SAYING THIS SHIT
He hasnt seen the show yet.
He doesn’t know Silco well enough.
So from just we see and know it makes total sense to antagonize Silco.
Like honestly he reacts like the writers intended.
@@aetherwolf9288 this isn't really about Silco though, I just think him trying to parse out whether someone is a "good guy or a bad guy" whenever we meet new characters isn't the best way to approach the show.
no character... except for Ekko

At least I assume he is, the biggest tragedy is how we never find out what happened
He still an evil character, I dont know how people get that twisted
@@Deluxuzhe’s still evil but he also cares for her both are true
True
@@sbg649Correct
Oh, and the girl that Jinx shot on the ship wasn’t Vi but another girl with the same hair color. The hair triggered those memories.
I was thinking throughout: this guy sure can't read people for being a therapist lol
@@butterfliesandmoths this is what i also commented to his ep1 reaction.
I hope he reads the comments because he desperately needs it to be on the same page. He miss understood like half the characters.
Yeah maybe this show isn't for him
yeah, he's SO far off makes me worried he's a therapist and he's THIS FAR OFF on fictional characters
at this point... he should probably start over... he's just not understanding the show, or characters at all...
It's like "Oh silco looks evil... he is pure evil, there can be nothing good about him", "he's manipulating powder, he renamed her jinx", "heimerdinger is giving me evil vibes, he must be evil", "Vi is so pure and perfect, she can take on anybody"
It's odd.... you'd think he'd know that people are WAY more complex than that. Like it never even occurred to him that Jinx gave HERSELF that name. Or that Heimerdinger is simply scared.
agreed - he's so far off the mark
In his defence, a lot of characters *Outside of Arcane* a r e that one-dimensional.
It's like he's traumatized and jumping to conclusions so he can push things away quick, ahaha
I'm not gonna lie, it is very odd for a therapist. He judges people really quick without trying to understand them and see the many other layers to them.
I thought we would get a more insightful take. These takes seem more immature.
Makes me question if he's a therapist at all
This helped me understand why the big studios always try to dumb down and make shows more explicit for most people
I love when they make people think. We're seeing an example of it going over the head in real time.
@@believeume122 I also love when shows demand attention and thought from the viewer, this show basically requires multiple viewings to get the full picture of (I’m still finding new things from the first season and I’ve been watching since it first came out)
Jinx even talks to Silco about mistaking the girl on the ship for Vi.
As many others have already said, the girl with pink hair on the ship wasn’t Vi ! She just resembled her and it triggered Jinx’s memories.
Vi has NOT seen her sister that was not her on the airship. I suggest rewatching the scene and slow it down. It's a girl with pink hair that looked like Vi. nd Jinx straight up murdered her. That's quite obvious and it has been stated more than once in the show it wasn't Vi. Vi has been in prison ever since she was kidnapped by Marcus in Ep3
Jinx tells Silco it was girl with pink hair.
I think its fair to say the show has given enough hints of that😂
Wtf is that thing anyways😂😂 look like a lil troll
@zeldaxninja3214 hahaha all yordles look like that to an extent, lil furry guys. Some are cuteish some are bizzare looking. But all of them are spirits attuned to the spirit realm, who grew physical forms to interact with all beings. If they die, they simply go back to the spirit realm to be reborn again.
@@zeldaxninja3214 If you remember Smeech, the other "troll-looking" guy with the augments who fought Sevika in S2, he is also a yordle. And so is the lady leading the brothel.
9:19 It was frustrating to see that every time Jinx said that that girl wasn’t Vi, you paused to speak and didn’t hear it
Character moves fast in a dark room: “Oh, she’s invisible”
Jinx walks through the smoke: “Hey look it’s vi!”
My dude… what? How…?

He's talked over critical dialog, misinterpreted just about every character....
It's really mind blowing to watch someone who listens, and analyzes, for a living.... not do one at all and as a result completely fail in the other.
Silco truly does love Jinx, you’ll see if you keep watching the show lol
Don't worry, you passed the big hurdle until the climax.
First three episodes are natural selection at full display
Season 2, Episode 6 disagrees
@@Todrick451 Or episode 9 season 1?
Most of the "therapy" starts in season 2. This season is about exploring what happens after ep 3 and the consequences of the class divide and corrupt cops.
We see alot of it in this season but the thing is its like 90% Jinx
YES! I'm so glad you decided to continue this! You won't regret it. This is such an amazing show!
THIS
This has happened so many times....
Vi has been in prison for all these years
I am proud of you. And I will love this, because I am just back from work and excited about those 29 minutes stay healthy men, you are loved so much!
Thank you so much🙏
I’m glad you decided to continue I just hope you slow down on reacting to scenes so quickly & initially as you are mistaking a lot of what is going on & misreading situations.
I feel genuinely worried about people that don’t think he’s manipulating her. Because he is, gently maybe, but still manipulating
Bro... He has objectively manipulated her into betraying Ekko and her upbringinger and being his violent chaotic puppet. You guys are so funny.
he does love her but he also does manipulate her
@@ethidian3444that’s not remotely true, there is no signs of Silco telling her not to get near ekko, all ekko says is that she CHOSE to be with him.
He is manipulating her, their dynamic has never been healthy from the start
That's why i love this show so much (aside from the captivating story and characters), the way they depict Powders trauma is absolutely unique.
Vi wasnt the one who was shot by jinx it was a random character
Vis been in the prison since episode 3 (so about 7 years)
Also fun fact the guy she beat up in prison is one of the silco goons she beat up as a kid!
Glad you continued!
Silco may or may not have heard Vi call her such in episode 3 but he has no inclination of it's significance as he was not present during the many times Mylo calls Powder out on being a "Jinx" because she "ruins every job."
Powder is calling herself Jinx because she is trying to distance herself from the pain of that night in episode 3 by owning it rather than fearing it. Her bombs now work. She leaves drawn neon monkey faces like a calling a card, "I did that", as if to say "You think you know what a jinx is?....."
Vi hasn't seen her sister! lol The girl in the beginning was not her just someone similar, that's why Jinx kept saying 'it wasn't her'
When he glanced up at the camera I knew he missed the reveal that it wasn't actually Violet. It's funny knowing he missed such a vital detail.
in 4 episodes i feel like he's missed more than he caught.
Oh, i just commented your last Arcane reaction. I was not expecting to see more of em hahaha. Glad to see this after refreshing
I would recommend taking a break between episodes though, as realy every episode is so good.
the girl who got shot wasnt VI. she is a random girl with pink hair.
I was like well he’s older he doesnt rlly watch this type of shit🤣🤣
Some clarifications the small Professor did NOT want Jayce to be Banished, he told him what to say to get a milder sentence, Jayce mentioned the Arcane anyways and was facing Banishment from the whole City but with Heimerdingers& Jayce's Mothers words it got downgraded to banishment from the academy.
The Professor was also opposed to Arcane/Magic being used at all and adviced against it.
The group on Hoverboards at the start found the purple drug that turns people into those things and wanted to burn it, good or evil you make of that what you will.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! You have no idea how happy I am to see you continue.
Powder/Jinx did not "find a way to become invisible", she was simply exploiting the fact she grew up in Zaun to use the harsh environment as cover.
He needs to turn on subtitles because its killing me how he's misunderstanding the episode at the parts they clearly explain whats going on 😭
That's disappointing enough but what I really can't believe is a therapist referring to characters as "good people" or "bad people". I came for some psychological nuance I may not have had enough technical knowledge to catch on my own.
@@Cat-o-mancer yup, some of the most complex and nuanced characters ever in fiction... just ripe for thoughtful and insightful analysis....

and for the last i know you get it already that silco its the new vander for jinx, but many people thinks because of the strange approach between them that they're lovers or something like that BUT NO THEY ARE NOT REMEMBER THAT it's supposed to look strange trust me!
One thing to learn from this series is that the lines between good and bad are often blurred and all a matter of perspective
Glad you stuck with the show after the rough 3rd episode, its so worth it. Really enjoying your reactions to the show, got a sub on patreon from me.
There will be lots of PTSD moments triggered by a "POW!" noise, thats what Powder stands for XD
Oohh I’m so happy that you’re continuing, I was lowkey scared you might actually stop ! So excited for the video :D
Edit: Also, for context, the time gap between episodes 3 and 4 is roughly 7-8 years. There's another time jump in season 2, again between episodes 2 and 3, but that one is roughly 6 months.

Even if you had quit after episode 3, you could still consider yourself privy to "Absolute Cinema."
not really... it seems to all be going over his head.
Yaaaasss, you are the best please keep goingg ❤❤
so glad u kept watching thank you
I can't see this show through a Therapist's POV, but the levels of trauma, backstabbing, and pacing is magnetic. The micro-expressions are real.
The whole thing took me more than a few days to get over but it’s still a very good watch very well-made

it's worth noting... Arcane was released in Acts:

You continueeed 🎉🎉🎉 proud of you youre not gonna regret it
