One of my older videos that I made about a year ago. Being able to run 5 beams was awesome, and probably my best meme setup I've ever had. All done on hard mode.
The only thing i could say i dont like about this game is how the developers never made a mode that works like the infinite space mod. I wanna just keep going and fighting ships and going through space. I dont wanna fight the flag ship.
They haven't made an endless mode for a purpose. You are pretty OP and max or nearly max everything you can, so endeless mode in a base game means you won't have possibility to improve your ship more. To provide such a mode developers firstly had to change core gameplay, otherwise it's super boring.

I have had runs where i destroy everything in my path just for the right encounter to show up and shut down my whole game. I was using the mantis type 2 ship. I jumo into a nod that happened to have a meteor belt. I get an AI drone that shows up. Hacks my shields. First thing hit when my shield drops is my weapons followed by engines. Couldnt dodge the meteors and went from full hull to dead in minutes.
@@vinnisnx7998 nah it's fine that you don't improve, we have older shmups where you reach maximum powerup in loop 1 but you can play fir as many loops as you want
There's a game called Tachyon which is basically FTL open world clone. Its still in development and pretty raw but I had some fun with a friend for a few hours. There's also multiplayer and PvP too

As soon as the defense drone fires at your hacking module, turn off all power in the hacking system. Wait a moment, and then reactivate hacking. It should fly right through their defenses.

Good lord i would pay to get that kind of luck. Hacking drone and 4 pikes. I can consistently get to the flagship with a cobbled togther mess of an rng build but advanced mode just ruins me every time. Normal mode i can sometimes beat it, but advanced mode just destroys me.
I know this is a *super* old video now, but I have some sound advice for you. Record your audio and video on separate tracks, so you can take your audio into something like Audacity. You can use the tools there to remove background noise, i.e. the fan in your room. It's a relatively easy way to significantly increase your audio quality :)
You can upgrade weapons to level 8 which gives 8 power max. You can put 4 zoltans in a big room so it makes 12 power max. Each glaive beam requires 4 power so you can possibly get 3, not 4
@@irregular_banana Yeah I know, I said that more as a joke. One glaive is more than enough for most situations, tho two with a preigniter is basically game-breakingly op

You absolutely can collect two identical weapons, and you can do 4 with a little luck. This is such a stupid argument with absolutely no due diligence, like have you ever seen runs where people do 4 flaks or 4 burst laser 2s? Its really not uncommon at all
@@RackaGackoh I thought you we're being serious. I absolutely think level 5 engines is better if no other reason that just it being much cheaper. I won't go into the whole thing but 25% evasion is sleeper good on top of just faster ftl charge at dangerous beacons just in case.
@@saxeladude when hard mode winstreaking, it is clear that engines are entirely overrated, and shields are always better, engines 4 and its precursors are good value, anything past that is insanity unless you are in the very late game
@@RackaGack I've never played hard mode so I have no counter to that claim. I get what you're saying though and I find your claim justifed. upgrading engines is my preference I didn't know it was worse. Shields are just safer overall by nature they are reliable in a way evasion can never be. Thank you for the insight.
I'm curious why upgrade cloaking at all cloak lvl 1 is the best system in the game in my opinion reason why being that levels above 1 A waste more time where you can't fine except with stealth weapons and B fall out of sync with the flag ships power surges I honestly kind of wish cloak upgraded uses rather than time so you got 3 5 second uses instead of 1 15 second use before cooldown at 3rd level
It gives you 15 seconds of downtime each fight, totally worth it and it lets you charge weapons more as opposed to 5 seconds. It also lets you cloak both missiles and surge.
I unno why this was recommended to me but I'm glad the Pandora's box is favouring smaller channels so I'm leaving a comment to correct the engagement value

Just keep trying, it has a small chance to get through.

He´s using an exploit where the enemy cant target the drone if you shut off your hacking system in-flight.

Beams are great because they ignore evasion. With hacking and beams you completely remove the possibility of bad RNG screwing you.
