Yes, the Big 3 are the last holdouts. Camaro, Challenger, Mustang, and the Caddy Blackwings are the last of the Mohicans. Imagine the value of them in 20-30years. Guys are paying $200-$500K for Hemi Cudas, Cobrajet Mustangs, and Yenko Camaros.
@@hellkitty1014A person would need proper resources to store them and keep them in mint condition for 20-30 years though. Sounds like a hassle if you don’t have the extra space already.
As an owner since '08('09 6.1 SRT , '12 392 SRT(still own), and a '15 Hellcat(current love), these cars are amazing. I love how Dodge really didn't care about those that griped that it didn't handle like a Mustang or Camaro. We owners don't care. Those of us that are 6'5 LOVE the fact that it is one of a few cars that has this type of power and we can comfortably fit in.(the only other modern couple that I felt comfortable in was a '16 S550 Coupe...at $120K!). The Challenger also turns out to be one helleva highway cruiser too. Dodge has maintained 4-6K units in sales per month on a car that is pur profit for them. Sure, the Widebody, Demon, Super Stock, and Redeye are all the must haves, but the 5.7 is all the car most would ever want. I would spend an extra 2 grand and get the 392 which is faster, has the same fuel economy, will hold value at a better clip, sounds GLORIOUS(this 5.7 aint too shabby for a stock car tho), and comes with an uprated suspension.
@@AL-31 yikes! Yeah, FCA do weird things for the US and Canadian markets. For instance, we can not get the Ram Sport that you guys get. But the 392 comes with more standard equipment there. And it SHOULD be cheaper because the wonderful Canadians in Brampton ON produce these beasts for us!
Omg, such a beautiful car. I'm a complete sucker for Challengers. The manual transmission looked like it would have been a lot of fun! Great review as always!
I ordered a 2022 challenger RT. I went the with manual too! So much fun! It was over 10 years since I had driven a manual and I came back to it like nothing. I can’t wait for my car! 3 months!
Congrats brother I just picked up my 2022 6 speed RT pitch black black top edition. Make sure to fill up with premium due to the transmission. Unfortunately we can’t use low or mid like the automatic 5.7.
Im lucky to own one, a 2016 with the 6-speed manual, absolutely love it! Especially with the aftermarket borla exhaust, its loud af! Good power too for a daily
I hope the Challenger does not go away I love them. I love the V8 Hemis and V6 Challengers. So it does not matter if it is a SXT, R/T, Scat Pack or Hellcat. I love all Challengers they are such beautiful cars.
Unfortunately, Dodge has announced they're going away in this form but will return as EVs. I have a 2015 Challenger Hellcat and a '20 Charger Redeye. I will keep them forever as I know they will go crazy in value in the coming years.
Ordered a 2022 RT/Shaker 6 speed manual. Still waiting on delivery on August 25. Maybe it will come in September. I figured that time was running out to be able to buy a new car with a V8 manual shift. So I got my order in.
You do really nice reviews of the Challengers. I was curious about the 6 speed in a Challenger and you gave me the feel of what it was like. I'm still glad I went with the automatic in my 2020 R/T Shaker. I have a manual in a Mustang GT so having two manual trannys just is not for me. Thanks for the review as always.
People, I have a very sweet price for topped up 2022 RT, but… it’s manual, I never drove manual daily, but I can drive, very rookie, should I go for it?!! I love everything about the car like color, sunroof, leather seats, RT plus suspension, nice warranty too, only 14K miles, $36 OTD
Yeah you need to drive it more ,I just bought this and drove it across the country ,when I test dove I think I only got into 3rd ,its not real smooth ,but as my trip took me to 5 and 6 gear it kinda sucks ,,imo it really sucks ,1through 4 is great but its got some lame spring that pushes the lever over towards the driver when down or upshifting 5 and 6 gear ,its a bit of a pain, my other bitch is the short gear ratio ,just as this is really picking up speed in 1 and 2 gear it hits the rev limiter ,,dont drive by the sound of the engine watch the tac
Almost forgot the 5.7 sounds good, doesn't have all the bells and wisel's relatively affordable, looks fun Rollin through all those gears with that tremec👍👍
I never understood why Ford allowed Chevy and Dodge to have a better standard 6 speed. You must get the Mach 1, GT350, or Bullitt to get a Tremec with Ford.
@@hellkitty1014 I never understood why either, only thing I can think of is $$, I heard it is suppose to change for the 23 model year? But shows you dodge is putting one of the best trannys you can get and there putting it in the less powerful of the group, very cool..👍👍 I like the setup on this car it's very tempting im sure there's a couple mods for the 5.7.....

They could pull so much more HP out of that Hemi engine. It’d be nice to see them boost the HP to over 400HP with that Hemi. Great review but I’d want more HP. My supercharged V6 puts out more HP then this naturally aspirated V8.
Awesome review!! However don’t waste your money on the 5.7 Hemi. Turbo cars and V6 Mustangs clean its clock zero to 60 and quarter mile and around town. Do it right the first time. Get the 392. You’ll regret the 5.7 Hemi in less than a week.
I've still got my 2013 with the Tremac. It's unfortunate that it began rusting from the inside due to the silly sound dampening foam Dodge used. Still looks absolutely mint but the rear quarter near the wheel are pretty much going to eat away at itself unless I replace both. I'm guessing it would be cheaper to just trade it in for a new one.
6 speed manual/stick V8s unfortunately will be extinct very soon in brand new vehicles, so enjoy them while they are still available
