My father had 2 O+ phones that lasted for 4-3 years each. The first one died peacefully due to old age/specs, its battery inflated until its efficiency had been drained. The second one had a different reason of dying. For some reason, it kept popping in ads and downloading 18+ apps without any of my father's knowledge like those modern shitty android games that spams ads wherever you touch if you are connected to the internet.
Long story short, the O+ sucked ass after 2018 and we never bought from there again.

Do you know why they closed down? It's because their phones are not able to compete with the specs of international brands. At that time we already saw phones with 4-8GB of ram. and 32-64 GB of storage. however, they opted to stick to low-spec phones. Cherry Mobile is doing good because of the new flare which can match mid-spec phones in international brands.

Kaya nga I'm going to plan to buy something that is Korean. Bakit? Because buying something that is Mainland Chinese can only fund the Chinese Government through taxes, which will use to manufacture weapons to destroy and enslave the world. Or worse I might be probed by Chinese government using IP address. O, pwede rin, mamamatay na kasi ang mga Top-of-the-line Korean brands like LG or Samsung. But the worst of all, I'm just boycotting everything that is from China because of the Scarborough Shoal incident (also, PNot and Trililing are indirectly responsible for letting China grab such shoal).

Want me to answer their question which they never even thought if answering?
    Here it is.
Imagine being a Smartphone Manufacturer in the PH and is losing sales.
Would you a: Make another Smartphone in the coming year or b: Wait till you get enough money or even more so and do some experiment and research on what kind smartphone to make so that you can decease the chances of making mistakes.
Like the most of you I would pick B because just like the question I would rather take advantage of the small market share to gain money and while doing that I would also be doing some experiments and research on what kind of smartphone to make and give my customers.
The Local brands like CM, CF, SM, and SKK, just has a very hard time to make new phones because of the small market share thus the result of most of them releasing lesser to no phones each year. But for CM who doesn't actually make Smartphones in the PH and is somewhat *I think* a sister/brother brand to Ulephone or maybe CM just doesn't know how to make smartphones since they don't have that much knowledge in making one in the 1st place but thanks to this they are able to just take a smartphone in China and bring in to PH and slap their brand on it. But unlike CM other brands like SM make their phones in the PH and because of that they have more things to pay like the manufacturing of their phones, renting places to establish their stores, paying taxes, the cost of shipping their products and maintaining a fair but of connection to their customers.
But some brands like CM who doesn't even listen to their customers anymore unlike 7 years ago they tend to stray away from their true objectives and just get caught into the zone of mistakes.
And that is the problem why some PH brand smartphones are dead. Because they don't know how to manufacture a phone nor even keep in touch with their customers.
I swear to God if I knew how to make smartphones and also have the knowledge of exchanges I would be creating great smartphones by now.

i feel clickbaited by the title :( 2x I watched the 1st part was disappointed, watched the 2nd hoping to get an answer still pretty disappointed. Piece of advise for content creators if you are going to multi-part videos, please state on the 1st video what each video encompasses so viewers aren't disappointed, because we don't want to watch 2 videos without answers. Thanks, hope I was helpful

And also the lack of Software updates really makes the customers move to foreign brands. These PH brands doesn't even know how to update their phones nor even make proper optimizations. *Cough Cough CM.*
Myphone on the other hand needs some more guidance. I mean they make really good phones but they lack the STOCK feeling and the QUALITY of the hardware since the moved from being that matte back texture to a really bad LOW QUALITY glossy easy to break back cover which is a very bad mistake.
If Myphone just sticked to their PINOY design like the My A33 and A36 and reusing those design and just adjusting the screen size without changing the phone's original dimensions and keeping the stock android feel with the best optimizations and the camera that I So SO SO Love about their A30+ series and giving their phones 2-4 years worth of firmware updates and software updates along side listening to their costumer's wishes. They would have been on top of the PH market by now.
Note: *I once used a Myphone A33 and I seriously love the design and the was the phone handles for its price.*

And then cherry is on fire from last year till now i hope they continue to create more variety of phone so the consumer can choose depending on what they needed. And i am also hoping that they will release a flagship phone that can match up against giant phone company but of course they can do it if we support them not drag them.

You could tell there wasn't much research put into this video.
As for why they're dead, just look at how Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Xiaomi, Redmi and Honor are storming the market with super competitively priced phones. There's no way local players can compete. Cherry Mobile is up next.
