Anyone who spends $1,200 on a Titan needs to fully expect that investment to only last "months", not years, in terms of being "top dog"... In fact, there is a term for it... "Top Dog Tax" You're paying to be the top of the pile, for a little while...
A wild Tech Deals appears. Yeah $1200 is pretty insane, but would still like to see benchmarks for this behemoth. I feel like AIB 1080 TIs might beat the Titan Xp with standard cooling. Replace the blower cooler with water and it should be a nice 10% better or so.
Red Ring of Death You literally can get like 2 1080tis which will give 80% boost over single 1080ti for a price of titian xp which will only be 5-10% faster.
Yep, the 780Ti and Titan Black were full Kepler and the Titan Black had double the VRAM. This makes me wonder if they're gonna do a GTX 1080Tip or 1080Ti 2? XD
Hey Jay!! I have got an ultimate solution for your confusion with the gpu nomenclature Titan X maxwell: Titan X Titan X Pascal: Titan XP Service pack 1 Titan XP: Titan XP Service Pack 2 Good isn't it?
Just call them Titan X (TX), Titan XP (TXP) and Titan XP2 (TXP2). Your thing remains confusing since your Titan XP is still only an abbreviation of Titan X Pascal :) My grain of salt
why am I not surprised....I thought it was fishy seeing 3584 CUDA cores in the now old Titan XP but the Quadro they had of the chip is the full 3840. Titans are suppose to be the fullest of the fullest, so seeing that had me suspicious and what do you know? They made sure cleared it up...
Quadro sales must not have been good enough to sell all the fully working dies. Now that AMD claims that Vega is going to be better than planned, Nvidia has to sell those chips before its current pricing structure gets destroyed.
This is not even the first time they did it. First Titan (Kepler) also wasnt "fullest of the fullest" chip. It was in the middle of 780 and 780-Ti, with 780-Ti being "full" Kepler GPU.
nVidia has been going full-on anti-consumer since the 600 series cards and the first titan. The GTX 480 launched at about $500, and it was the full, uncut GPU for that architecture. Now they want you to pay over $1000 for the modern equivalent. I get that they probably started spending more money on R&D on the more recent GPUs than they did back in 2010, but that does not warrant the $1200 price tag. If you want to put the 1000 series GPUs in order of what they would be in terms of the 400 series GPUs, The new Titan Xp should be the 1080, and should cost $700 or less The 1080ti (and the first pascal titan x) should be the 1070 and cost $500 or less The 1080 should be the 1060, and so on. I didn't include the Ti cards after the "should be" line for simplicity's sake, but there is definitely room price and performance-wise. The prices were also just what I think would be fair, since nVidia's budgeting and the economy has changed since 2010. My whole point here is that nVidia's not putting the money value on the hardware you're buying. They're putting the price tag on how well it performs in software, which I think is completely wrong, and is a completely anti-consumer business model. The consumer should be paying for how much of a cut-down (or how not cut-down it is) GPU they're buying, not how many FPS said GPUs are getting in a game.
@Renzc ode Yeah I guess you are right. I figured nVidia's quarterly profits would have been grown to be more like 3 or for times bigger than it was in 2010. I'm really surprised actually, since the PC gaming market has grown a lot since 2010, and since nVidia has had control over the high-end market for so long. I still think that this whole Titan X/ Titan Xp situation has crossed the line of "just making profits" to the realm of abuse though. I really hope AMD's next high end GPU series (not talking about the RX 500 cards) can shake things up in the market. We've seen nVidia release the "World's fastest GPU" year after year and it's really gotten mundane at this point.
HAHA Nvidia will charge as much as you dummies will pay for their product. If you all don't like high prices for GPU's stop paying 1200$ for them. Then they will drop their prices.
exactly. people wanna complain now? lol, none of these cards are workstation cards anymore. it's all geforce GTX. the Titan was a money scheme just like the mid range parts now being sold as GTX x80 and for $500 - $700 and they sell more each generation. just keep promoting nvidia's greed and taking it up the butt. I remember Jay claiming the 1070 and 1080 supported 3/4 way SLI lol. what happened to that?
Gex i don't think many gamers buy them. if you want to blame someone probably blame those compute crowd that refuse to get nvidia tesla for their compute need. nvidia keep making titan is thanks to these group of people.
well he's got guts, but he didn't tell a word about AMD and Vega.. coz we all know what this model and pricing is all about, out of pure horrer of AMD in a come back stage.
vysakh haritharsion why would he talk about AMD and Vega in an Nvidia Rant video? On top of that he's sponsored. I advise you not to become a RUclipsrs with sponsors or they'll stop supporting you on the first day itself.
Vega isn't out yet, so there's really not much to say at this point. Also, does AMD care that much about what Nvidia does with its $1400 GPUs? I would imagine the focus from AMD would be targeting the more mainstream market, rather than trying to sell low volume $1000+ cards. I could be wrong here, but I don't really see a new Titan mattering much when Vega launches.
lets figure out what nvidia did. first release the gtx 1080 and gimped titan x (people flocks in and buy it) next release the gtx 1080 ti and claim that is faster than the titan x(gimped titan x. people flocks in) release the real full titan x(triple dipping) also whoever says that nvidia is not marketing their titan xp for gaming just look at their page:www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/titan-xp/
you could argue that the people behind this strategy are brilliant. they have a monopoly in the high end segment (until vega arrives) and with their tactic most people don’t even feel screwed by them.
alcidiow I agree, but what is the alternative, buy an AMD card? They have absolutely nothing on the top end that comes close. I hope Vega does well, but I'm not holding my breath.
£1600 for a xbox Scorpio console killer LMAO 12 teroflops and twice as fast was the 1080ti with 11 teroflops I knew nvida was Gona refresh the titan again
@Jayztwocents Never responded to a RUclips video ever since being on RUclips for countless of years. The level of realness you bring is great Jay, I can really relate to you as a person somehow and your video's have the right amount of humour poured into them. Keep up the good work, props from Amsterdam!
This is why I continue to watch this channel, because Jay will call anyone out on their BS regardless of his ties to the company/person and he'll do it publicly to over a million followers. Takes guts and I respect that!
Why does it seem that Nvidia is trying to cash out before Vega is released? It's really the only thing that explains the rushed product releases. From a business standpoint it would have made sense to let the 1080ti run for a little bit before releasing another card. Or are they just trying to soak up all the enthusiast market before Vega releases. I mean how many 700-1200 graphic cards are people going to be able to buy at this pace?
Rob Irwin more like gamers Nexus will benchmark AMD Vega and find it slllooow compared to the similar 1080, 1080 ti, and now Titan XP?! Haha AMD sucks LOOK go Nvidia yada yada. This move by Nvidia was to create Mindshare and fud on AMD
THere are demos and the CEO of Nvidia worked at AMD and knows about the pipeline and spec and performance goals. Yes. I stand by comment. This was made to hurt AMD and make them look bad and slow. If AMD was not coming out with a GPU you can bet your butt the 1080TI and TitanXp would not have come out. All that matters is Gamers Nexus showing it not #1 and AMD will remain irrelevant for gamers.
Would you prefer if Nvidia released GPUs at scheduled intervals like Apple does with I phones? we can all line up too. I dont want that, keep them coming Nvidia, anytime you like.
No, people who buy Titans are fucking up. Titans have NEVER been good value. When the first one released, it was followed by the 780, which was offered for MUCH less, and almost identical performance. Then, a few months after, 780Ti - again, much lower price, destroyed the Titan even further. If that wasn't enough, Nvidia even came out with Titan Black, which was only slightly above the 780Ti, but at the price of the original Titan. Not worth it, not in the slightest. Then, you had the Maxwell Titan X, which again, was made obsolete by the 980Ti, which was not only cheaper, but faster out of the box, especially with aftermarket cooling. And now, here we are, once again. Titan X(Pascal) beaten by 1080Ti (just like the previous 2 times so, are you really surprised???) and Nvidia releasing Titan Xp, which is basically Titan Black version 2, just because they can. If you actually care to make good investments then _NEVER BUY A TITAN_, just buy the Ti versions with aftermarket coolers and laugh in the faces of everyone who spent $500 more just to be stuck with the shitty reference cooler.
Peto111222 AMD products out perform the competition at their price points. Which is what matters to most people building a new PC. For 1080p gaming, do you think I'm going to purchase a 1080ti? Hell no, I'll go with a rx480 or something like that. In other words, it just depends on what your needs are for your PC... 😊
Hello. I come from the future. It's 2077. Cyberpunk got finally released. Just bought new Titan XPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP to run it on 32K maxed out.
Good vid jay. I got two titan x pascal in my rig and am well disappointed they have done this. I will be sending a strong word email to nvidia. Also next upgrade may even stay away from nvidia and give my money to amd
If you are a 3D animator person, and you use Octane Render, you need as many cuda cores as you get your hands on. Titans are not worth it to 99% of people
Titan X: Maxwell Titan XP: Pascal Titan Vista: 2nd Pascal - that is a total shitload from nVidia, just to see how much they can piss their customers off and have them still buying nVidia, because, come on it's nVidia ;-)
the titan series got beat by the 80ti card of that generation within weeks every time, and the worst part is they are only there to make the $700 price tag look like you are actually getting a good deal on the 80ti cards.
lars Olofsson no. The 780 Ti beat the original Titan. The 980 Ti smoked the Maxwell Titan, and the 1080 Ti beats the original XP. The Titan series has always been a rip off, and I just laugh at everyone who brags they have a Titan due to the fact that my Ti series card will always beat them for considerably less price.
Ramez Elprince are we gonna have to download that graphivs card since at launch the 10 was a free option and later versions people had to buy it. I hope it has rgb lighting
Deep learning card my ass honestly, why do they care what people do with the damn card. They can say no to giving you the card but this ridiculous excuse triggers me.
Yeah, deep learning is actually a big deal, hence the cuda cores and mem bandwidth. I know a lot of you and Jay included don't know shit about computer science, but nvidia does a lot of work in the field. That is what Titan was made for, not gaming.
They already gave him the old titan XP once why change now? Seems more of a lousy excuse than a anything. I know that they made the card for deep learning and such but that's not the main point. They mainly want the top card that they make to be expensive so that companies buy that instead of the 1080 ti which in my mind can also be a said "deep learning card" if it can't why not just buy the older titan XP is the leap in improvements really that large for deep learning?
Great video Jay. It's great to hear someone being so honest about a sponsor. I agree with all your points, especially about the 1070. Thanks for all the content and keep up the awesome videos man!
haha thats cute, they've already beaten Vega, since Vega isnbt even out. Cant compete without a product and they are being suspiciously quiet on the Vega specs. Why? because they know no matter how much they hype it up it wont live up to expectations.
+QuackAttack PUhhhlease *stop* unintentionally making VOLTA more expensive. IF you wanna burn your own money fine ... smash your monitor right now if you absolutely have money to burn then go buy a new one. Maybe you'll feel better. I don''t care. Nvidia has had record profits, they ain't dying any time soon. Relax why throw shade on AMD? Be smart. Let them believe AMD is gonna lay some sorta of smackdown. what is it to you? Maybe somehow somewhere AMD will. All the better, more people pushing up AMD's marketshare means Nvidia is gonna compete all the harder when the release their VOLTA cards that will leave Pascal in the dust. A cheaper VOLTA (GTX 1180 or 2080 maybe??) is my goal. If you like someone tell them to wait for VOLTA it's the smart choice so let's get the best price for it. Let's do ourselves a favour. We don't have long to turn the tides (q1 2018 according the Nvidia Roadmap) so lets do what we can fast. Spread the word. Resist the urge to trash talk as you'll be saving yourself and us money.
I feel your pain, when I was planning my first high-end PC build at the time, I had no idea the 1080's were going to be released. I wasn't pissed, just a little disappointed. But now I'm afraid if I buy top end, something new gets immediately announced.
Why the f did they not just wait to launch the Volta Titan?? We didn't need a Titan Pascal Refresh... or maybe they could of just offered step up to all existing Titan owners?
Aleksy Karnasiewicz because a shit that's dumb makes total sense. By the way, the erroneous phrase "could of" is due to the very similar pronunciation of could've. So it's not really a big deal bro, chill.
Justin Delpero If it's so similar and you are aware that's it's easily misused and wrong then why the fuck are you using it? That shows how ignorant and stupid you are. Apart from your bad writing skills.
+MLG Individual That is true, but there is nothing AMD is doing about it as they do not have a competitive gpu right now for someone who wants gtx 1070 performance or greater
Long.Live.4th Is not marketing. Is performance, stability, watt consumption, heat compared to AMD. Nvidia cards consumes less while providing alot, run much cooler. You don't need a beefy PSU like you require for AMD (especially if you go with AMD CPU's as well). Is Nvidia greedy ? Yes ! Why ? Because they know they are good. Like intel. Is like having Noctua fans over Articool, Deepcool fans (or any other fans). Do Noctua have high prices too ? Yes ! Why ? Simple. They know as well they are good and provide a lot, in exchange for some money. Cya around !
After the shit Nvidia pulled with the 970 i promised myself i wouldn't buy another products, this just makes me feel like they are just trying to see what they can get away with
rentaspoon I don't know what's going on. I got a 750 in 2015, and it's serving its purpose as the GPU of what is now my mother's PC, and she will probably never need anything more than that. Kind of sucks how what I paid for that card would now get me something like a GTX 780, 780Ti, or maybe even an R9 390.
Buying the 2nd gen Titan X is a bad idea in itself because the first gen was followed by the 980Ti, so Nvidia releasing a 1080Ti after X2 was almost certain
This is *kinda* like what they did with the 700/Titan series: 780 => 1080 OG Titan => Titan XP SP1 3584 780 Ti => 1080 Ti Titan Black => Titan XPp Ti SP2 3840
I propose the name "Titan XPP" pronounced pee-pee. Their business model is "screw gamers, I want money!" so lets make sure it never happens again. I don't even have or want a TItan XP but even I'm angry at the middle fingers to people who trusted Nvidia.
Trusted what? That they wouldn't improve on their products and release new improved ones in 8 months??? Do they not teach common sense / business sense in high school these days?
I'm anger at Nvidia for entirely other reasons- Why is it taking them so long to come out with a HBM2 GPU...? We've been talking about it since 2015, and they're still using an archaic architecture *[(Could give two shit's less about the dumb fucks who bought Titan, which was an overpriced piece of shit from launch -ALL OF THEM)]* ~I' down right refuse to buy a card at the end of a generation, when we're about to see huge performance improvements.... -Don't miss understand, if you got money to throw away, good for you, but if you rushed into a GDDR card, pinched for cash, you a dumb, dumb, who needs to learn patience.... No Remorse for people who bought Titian, Really pissed at Nvid wasting everyone's time and shotty business practice =/
To be fair... If you feel pain for technology... "progressing" making your ridiculous expense obsolete than u never should have purchased a Titan to begin with. ( Or I just always assumed they R for whoever can afford and will upgrade to whatever represents the performance king with "EVERY" iteration no matter what "AND" without any significant consideration/fiscal impact ) It's understood to be a fleeting "prestige" purchase that requires yearly if not bi-annual investment for those who got it like that. Looked in that light... I suppose it is far less extravagant than the douches who can and do collect Pagani's and Lambo's with every iteration. ( in comparison u could even say the rich computer nerd looks like acetic monks compared to the prestige car collectors? ) Or a drop in the bucket for big data/industrial/commercial enterprise needs for banks of TESLA computation? Could care less if they just provided the $499 baseline priced reference GTX X80 fer the regular joe who could invest ( because it IS an expense for us ) in their refresh with an enthusiast card that simply outperformed anything in last years iteration.
I seem to remember Nvidia doing the same thing back in the Kepler days. "At the heart of the Titan Black is the same Kepler GK110 GPU as in the GTX Titan, GTX 780 and GTX 780 Ti, but here it is fully enabled and overclocked too."
Thanh Le Literally the Apple of computer hardware manufacturers. People have just bought the new aftermarket 1080ti's but will line up all night for this Titan Xp. It's absurd.
f*ck NGreedia - I have a Titan XP and was thinking of selling it (for a little over half the price :@ ) for a 1080ti but I'm not gonna do it now....I'm jumping over to team red as soon as they come out with some competition
Mihail Draganov if you want performance per price and game at 1080p, team red already has the best out there. If you wanna buy a lambo instead of a porsche, nvidia.
I totally agree - if I was using a 1080p monitor I was gonna go with RX 480 over the 1060 anyday....BUT I have a triple monitor setup (not only for games but for work as well) with 2x1080p on the sides and 1x1440p in the middle so for now I'm stuck with NGreedia As I said in the first comment as soon as there is competition from AMD for the market I'm looking for I'm jumping to them
What do you mean "lose money"? If I sell a weaker card for 750$ and buy a more powerful one for 700$ I'm a few FPS and 50 bucks ahead :D The loss of hundreds of $ already happened when I bought the Titan XP :)
Funny thing recently after the GTX1080TI was announced , 2 days later the GTX1080 cards in AUSTRALIA when from AUD$1000-AUD$1050 DOWN to AUD$650-700 almost OVERNIGHT
Last time I had to make a decision (late 2014, early 2015) it was a no-brainer, Intel & NVIDIA had the best hardware in the market and buying AMD was a dumb move, even if you hated the way they dominated the market and bumped their prices with every new gen. Now with Ryzen (and hopefully Vega) we have choice once again.
DumbSLoth87 Exactly. If AMD gives us a 1080 or 1080ti equivalent for a reasonable price, I will literally sell my 980ti and NVIDIA won't be seeing a dime from me. Intel can fuck off too now that I got the R7 1700(fun fact: Intel has yet to lower the price of the 6900k).
they haven't lowered the price of the 6900k because intel fanboys are saying the extra 700$ is worth the 5% performance advantage (productivity app-wise) the max oc 6900k has over the 1800x, which will be negated soon enough with more software updates for ryzen.
+DumbSloth87, late 2014... AMD Radeon R9 290 /290x was very competitive on price and performance then. It was only in the top cards with GTX 980 that nvidia didn't have proper competition (well exept for the r9 295 dual core thing. Problem since about then is that because nvidia has had the single top cards (that very few actually buy), their marketing have got people to think that even their lower tier cards magically is better than anything AMD provides. CPU wasn't even an argument for gaming :)
I'm really confused by this. This new Titan XP should cost about 1350€ where I live. The (MSI) gtx 1080ti costs about 800€, where I can save about 500€, or I just go with 2x (MSI) gtx 1080 which costs 550€ each and will save over 200€ compared to the Titan XP. Actually what is the justified reason to put the price that high again and what should be the reason to buy it at all? o_O
Flizzy Duck The prices for titans have always been (literally) 50 percent higher than their specs would indicate, because they're taking advantage of the ULTRA INTENSE PC gamers who just NEEEEEDDDD to have that MOST powerful graphics hard to give them a few extra fps that they won't notice. The titan line is for rich people who buy a new graphics card (or likely two of them) every year. Yes, you'd be much better off with a 1080ti. Some games don't work well with SLI, but yeah with 2 1080tis you could get at least 60 percent more performance.
N. Guy sounds like you are describing Total Biscuit. "Omg, my pc is full of crap and i don't know how to do anything with it. Need to get me two new Titans to fix this."
Because they( titan customers logically ) r the kinda douche I b jelly fer where price is no consideration... who can maximize with two Titans in sli where your argument falls apart because you assume the end setup. ( 2 1080 in sli does not equal the performance "potential" of any card more powerful regardless if it is more powerful than the single card ) That you added that price performance ratio together and placed import on it's significance proves that you are not the Titans intended market. ( yer like me.... one of the kool kids :) )
I deal with this so much, I dump a crapload of cash on a 8800 gts, and a new better card gets released a few years later for the same price. I mean, come on... reward your original consumers...
I'm not sure who this card is for, I feel like everyone that buys a Titan level card already picked up one when the Titan XP released in August. How many of theses could they really sell?
Matt DiCicco 'the design and purpose of this card is solely for learning and further development in research facilities to further understand science' long explanation short, cause of science that us dumb peeps don't understand, xD
choose the cheaper but high performance man, you don't really need that big power for just playing game except if you are developer somekind of game / graphic design
2x GTX 680 SLI still pull 1080p60 just fine on maxed out AAA releases, and that's a 5 year old card. Although to be fair, two EVGA GTX 680s are still $700 used, so *SHRUG*.
I built my first Gaming Pc in December, buying a Gtx 1080. Now Nvidea came out with the Gtx 1080ti a couple of months later, rendering my Gtx 1080 obsolete in terms of price..
Thats seriously annoying. Release 1080 for 700$, Titan XP for $1200, then 1080 Ti for $700 and bring 1080 down to $500, and then new Titan Xp for $1200... Just fucking give me 1080 Ti from the beginning for a proper price and stop playing with my patience. Fortunately Titan X pricing is too ridiculous to even consider, so I will never get into this, but the thing the have done with GTX 1080 and 1080 Ti is not much different than what they are doing with Titan and x80Ti cards, you just lost $200 instead of $500. And for all of those who are saying that Nvidia is panic because good AMD will come out with Vega and save the world - AMD is the first responsible for what is going on because they are not competitive. None of this would happen if they weren't a second category manufacturer that cannot keep up. Nvidia also could be more fair but they are just taking advantage of the situation on the market and no competition. They would not be able to do things like that if they had serious competitor.
Krzych You don't need competition to be consider their price point. Only the people wallets they should be thinking as we all knew Ti is coming and the previous owner Titan lost $500 to the 1080Ti to now wasted an whole $1200 on a lesser card on another Titan. I think that the part you missing here those who have the money to buy it. But it even worse to see people keep buying overprice gpu that isn't the Titan card and people seem to not know how to balance a checkbook when they are buying a new cards every years like the drone of apples to get less fore more.
namcost Now let's see how the Vega x2 does... I'm thinking it will be hard for Nvidia to beat a dual die Vega GPU. What's awesome is it will be a MCM GPU, and not a dual GPU card! Complete transparency to the system, and 100% scaling!
The only reason why intel never gained over 50% is because they release every year to keep up with times where as with AMD, they were literally out of the CPU market for over 5 years which a 50% increase was expected.
namcost Intel has never had to gain that much IPC because it didn't take a decade off. People get all excited that AMD has finally brought something to compete outside of budget builds and ignore the fact they have produced shit for 10 years. Also realize that the tech they are competing with from Intel is the 32 month old X99 platform and 20 month old Z170/Z270(Z270 and Kaby Lake being an optimization of Z170 and Sky Lake and not a new architecture), this level of performance has been available from Intel for a long time. AMD fanboys can hate all they want, but this is reality of what AMD had to offer.
i think they realise that they fcked up the meaning of titan when they release the 1080ti, the titan card has always represent the top of the top card from nvidia with close to none of the current card out there ( by nvidia of course) to beat, but this time the release the 1080ti with better performance than the titan x and at a lower price. Alot of the original titan X(pascal) owner werent really happy, that their 1200 card got overtaken in less than 6 month by a 699 card. They panicked and refresh it to make the titan the king of cards again, but failed to remember those who already bought it. This is also another money grab method to entice those PC elitist that still havent got their hands on the 1080ti yet. Quite disappointed in Nvidia move on this front.
I'll always stick with the middle ground, whenever I do upgrade my 3GB 1060 it'll only ever be to a 1260 or later, don't need flagships that have their own flagships. Refreshes need to stop happening, do the best you can at the time & if your product sucks try better next gen. That's my advice to all PC part related companies.
N-ninja Xp(P) is the new.X(P) is the current one.X(M) is the old.The large letters refer to the architecture.Like Pascal and maxwell.Cause nvidia had an titan. X(Maxwell) titan X(Pascal) and Titan Xp(Pascal)
Simple logic, stop wasting money on the titan line, do not buy it......nVidia is milking people for their hard earned bucks. nVidia is responsible on how GPU market is screwed....oh and AMD is also to be blamed for not being able to provide an equivalent product at least for the GTX 1080/1070 line!
Because AMD decided to dominate the low-end GPU line up first. 470 and 480 have great performance and when you compare it to their prices it's unbelievable. They'll never have a card as powerful as a Titan or Ti because they don't want to compete in that category. And Nvidia is happy to let them play in the lower tiers because it means they can sell the Ti and Titan cards for as much money as they want and people will still buy them. Vega will be the first true and direct competition to Nvidia's high end cards (1080 or maybe even Ti). It'll be interesting how Nvidia reacts to that. At this point they're already cannibalizing the sales of their own Ti and Titan cards with this XP bullshit.
amd dominating the mid-range? guys, did you see the steam survery lately? unfortunately for amd, rx 480 is still underrated, GTX 1060 4.45% +0.37% March 2017, RX 480 1.05% +0.19% March 2017, 1060 sell four more times that their amd counterpart
Nvidia has a much larger market share than AMD across the board. There is no surprise they sell more of EVERYTHING. What AMD is dominating is the performance/$ ratio. 1070 and 1060 can't beat a 480 in that regard. And that's entirely AMD's aim with the Polaris lineup: bring good/great performance for excellent value. They didn't even try to claim it can outright beat Nvidia, because they're not in the same class. Nvidia's marketing has fucked up so much that even the 1080 is now losing a lot of value. You can get a custom Ti for 40% more performance at almost the same price the 1080 FE launched at.
What makes you think that AMD has better price performance, when the performance is equal and so is the price? 480 is not faster than 1060, and it is also not much cheaper even in best case scenarios. Nvidia is also much more energy efficient and if you use card a lot, it adds up.
vega probably won't beat 1080 ti. i expect vega to beat 1080 slightly. but we know nothing about release date, it can be months away. they said just around the corner 2 months ago..
it probably beat titanXp V2 plus or whatever the desperate nvidia brings to the table, but yes we don't have time frame, and also yes it's on the corner, lol.
Elastico345 the Z was a dual GPU card and based on the best silicon from Kepler (GK210). If they released a Titan using the GP100 (same chip as in the Quadro GP100 or Tesla P100) then the Titan Z would be appropriate. :)
I already know about the Titan Z about being a dual GPU with 3 slots being occupied. and yea i agree with you lets just hope that they should use the best quality silicon in their GPUs.
Thanks Jay. Late to the game but I'm one of the consumers you're referencing in this video. While I'm not furious by any means, I am a little bummed about dropping so much cash on an XP. I bought mine fully expecting the best single card performance for this GPU series after upgrading from a 980Ti. This will seriously impact any future decisions I have in choosing between a Titan or a Ti card in the future which will equate to $500 in lost revenue for Nvidia. Good job guys.
Abel Pepin because you pay for a premium product. Nothing AMD has can get near nVidia. That's also the reason they are pricing them so highly because there is no competition.
Mr Lagzy We don"t eat what Nvidia is telling to these fanboys , but AMD fanboys going nuts over and over again everytime. Like they know they are below Nvidia (which they are. Now I gave you a reason to be TRIGGERED. BOOOM !) ,but still talking shit all around. "sigh"
Nvidia is not the one clicking on the "buy" button. When you purchased a Titan x last year, you read the specs and said to yourself that is worth it. After you install it and turn on your pc you see your games running great. Then month later you see a new card that's better for the same price or less, but at that point you just simply look at specs, see that is a little better for almost Half the price, look back at your Titan x that still plays games great and just move on. My point is upgrade every few years regardless of what nvidia releases right after and be happy with what you got. I got a 1080ti and love it. Nvidia will see me again in a few years and when they do I better see 100% faster gpu over this 1080ti and I will gladly click on the "buy" button again. :)
That's the times we live in though. A: they're a company who want to keep pushing the boundaries to stay relevant, profit, and etc. Plus B: my original point: tech is rapidly improving and diversifying, so they won't & shouldn't put a hold(in any fashion- it's bad for the consumer.) on products, for a convenient consumer purchase time-frame. If this was the mind set of all companies, the future for things like deep space travel, A.I, and others would not look so great.(I.e.: " Things are good enough now, there is no need to innovate."{as well as push old products-((as far as creation time)) new or old---baaadd for the consumer} Bottom line, no matter how cool they may seem dishing out cards, creating ground breaking. "Eat cheatos and take a dump while our uber kool adaptive A.I. beats bigg boss 4 U" & what ever the hell else they do. They're a company: A forward thinking establishment that thrives to create, innovate, & levitate above the compitition. With that said realize this: a *company* that stay stagnant, dosen't stay relevant for very long. So unless you wan to cash out, that's not the move. Nvidia wants to run the game & profit period
Its just that theire not really pushing any boundries. The txp they are about to release is just a rehashed quadro(which already exists). They could have used that money on their volta architecture, which would actually push performance.
Well there is more to it als tolbryn says, - also they could push performance even further but thats not the point. If you have some chip/architecture you can use in multiple products releaseing after another this will earn you more money then coming up with new technologys because it's not that more expensive to extend the potential you have with an existing product by not using it fully. So they can keep coming out with newer and better cards for of course - higher prices. I KNEW they would do that. It would be stupid to get Ti and the new new new new Titan out together, because people who haven't bought a Ti yet, won't do anytime soon but will now buy the titan if they considered more potent hardware to get the topmost because nvidia will NOT put out another card yet because of that. So they sell more "older" cards and get the very newest to the tech enthusiasts.
Btw. this is simple businesslogic is use also with my company - just saying. So it's nothing to doom nvidia about businesswise - people will buy anyway even if they are pissed a minute, this is how the world works and business works. Have something and sell it in pieces instead of releasing it all together, So your margins grow bigger and bigger - Also manufacturing costs come down and the Pricespread is more intense so you lurk out a lot of people wo buy the products because it feels more "fair" for the customer looking at it after this shitstorm.
Okay... But I guess point still stands that the GP102 GPU (which the TXP is based on) has always had 3840 CUDA cores. Every TXP that has been sold up until now just had cores disabled. Nvidia has been selling this GPU for enormous profit already, see the Quadro P6000. Therefore the rational is that if they had an excess of cores that weren't good enough just sell them as TXP's. So no, this is just Nvidia trying to maximize profit. They haven't innovated anything. They probably either A) have enough good cores that they can't sell all of them as the $5000 P6000 quadros or B) aren't selling enough quadros and thus have to downgrade them to a "new" TXP so that they can still make thousands on each card. If you really want to talk about innovation and not holding things back from the consumer, just keep in mind that there is a fully enabled GP100 GPU with HBM2 that has been on the market for about a year that is only available to the wealthiest of corporations. Nvidia is not in it for the innovation right now. They're in it for the maximization it would appear. Once there is competition again (hopefully from Vega, maybe not) they will be forced to innovate again. Hopefully.
As said, holding back is the key for profit. I did not mean they improve it - like make it better - but give some more percentage of the capeabilitys to the Consumer - so they buy it. It's all about Money and marketing. Of course they do it like "oh we have this new baby here - so great so good" blah - it's same shit all the Time, it's like discountprices or things like "free gift included" - it's the same in another way. Let people think they can get more :D
Jay, if i can give you some advice, when giving the numbers from the specs show them on the screen as an overlay because by the time you compare the second number you forget the first one. Just some clarity. Keep on the good work !
KARL DER KARTON The trouble with people is that they benchmark everything on ultra which in today's gaming space is ridiculous. Ultra looks maybe 15 percent better than high but it will cut your performance by like 70 percent. Unless you've got a 2000 dollar new gaming PC you DON'T USE ULTRA.
N. Guy yeah. i personally just have everything on ultra and turn down the fancy shit. like smaa, hbao+ etc. i don't care for it, and I'd rather not dip under 60fps
Anyone who spends $1,200 on a Titan needs to fully expect that investment to only last "months", not years, in terms of being "top dog"...
In fact, there is a term for it... "Top Dog Tax"
You're paying to be the top of the pile, for a little while...
Tech Deals You always make great points. Love your videos man.
A wild Tech Deals appears.
Yeah $1200 is pretty insane, but would still like to see benchmarks for this behemoth. I feel like AIB 1080 TIs might beat the Titan Xp with standard cooling. Replace the blower cooler with water and it should be a nice 10% better or so.
i still think 10k amd ssg is the best!
Red Ring of Death You literally can get like 2 1080tis which will give 80% boost over single 1080ti for a price of titian xp which will only be 5-10% faster.
*Look this is the new Nvidia Titan X
*But is the same Nvidia Titan X with a little more things at a high price
* Yea... but the "Xp" is new!
History repeats itself.
New Titan Xp = Titan Black
GTX 1080Ti = GTX 780Ti
Titan XP = Titan (Original)
GTX 1080 = GTX 780
Bill Nguyen except the difference between the 780Ti and Titan black was firmware, not hardware
Yep, the 780Ti and Titan Black were full Kepler and the Titan Black had double the VRAM. This makes me wonder if they're gonna do a GTX 1080Tip or 1080Ti 2? XD
Bill Nguyen 1080 Tip.........
just the Tip!!!
ok...I'm done.
Bill Nguyen oh, the VRAM..yeah that part
O.O
Titan XP more like

TheRayRayGGG The best porn viewing card?
Titan XV
titan xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxppppppppppppppppppppppp ti (ha ha)
aka Titan XA
7 months later: Titan V released. ffs!!!! lol
Hey Jay!! I have got an ultimate solution for your confusion with the gpu nomenclature
Titan X maxwell: Titan X
Titan X Pascal: Titan XP Service pack 1
Titan XP: Titan XP Service Pack 2
Good isn't it?
rodeo301 Absolute genius.
Just call them Titan X (TX), Titan XP (TXP) and Titan XP2 (TXP2). Your thing remains confusing since your Titan XP is still only an abbreviation of Titan X Pascal :) My grain of salt
anyone know when the titan xp sp3 gets released?
Likely around when Titan Vista comes around.
Hahahaha very funny xD
why am I not surprised....I thought it was fishy seeing 3584 CUDA cores in the now old Titan XP but the Quadro they had of the chip is the full 3840.
Mena Suvari good reminder. Its the Titan, 780 Ti & Titan Black triangle all over again
they should have called it Titan XP TI lolololol
Richard Wallace 😂
Richard Wallace you know that the TI mans titan ? that would be the Titan Pascal Titan
K i was searching it a while ago and i only found that it means Titan. BUT I can can be wrong... Anymays thx for correcting me
Only nvidia nows 😂😂😂
Actually it means Titanium so not exactly the same
nVidia has been going full-on anti-consumer since the 600 series cards and the first titan.
If you want to put the 1000 series GPUs in order of what they would be in terms of the 400 series GPUs,
The new Titan Xp should be the 1080, and should cost $700 or less
The 1080ti (and the first pascal titan x) should be the 1070 and cost $500 or less
The 1080 should be the 1060, and so on.
@Renzc ode
Yeah I guess you are right.
+Gex that was kinda my point here... to get people to stop paying for overpriced cards.
exactly. people wanna complain now? lol, none of these cards are workstation cards anymore. it's all geforce GTX. the Titan was a money scheme just like the mid range parts now being sold as GTX x80 and for $500 - $700 and they sell more each generation. just keep promoting nvidia's greed and taking it up the butt.
Nvidia Launches Titan Xp
that means a used GTX 1050ti price will go down
so I can finally buy a GT 210!
ty nvidia
gt 210 is garbage
get a titan 3.1
no support for directx at all
but
Pidu didu do whatever you want but don't buy a 210
You guys do realize that this is a meme, right?
Surely you jest, MSTitan 3.11 comes out soon on 5 floppy disks.
Pidu didu It's funny cuz I purchased a Gtx 1050Ti just a week ago
Why don't we just name the Titans by their release year?
Finkstar people are stupid
Bahaha! Now that's asking too much. It's waaay too logical. Or hard. Or both.
Finkstar well, let's say that more than a Titan comes out in the same year, what are you gonna do about this bro?
Titan Black and Titan Z were the same year but other than that it could work.
Actually that's a pretty good idea. People have been doing that with generation of cars for years now.
You got the guts to tell the truth! I'm glad you're honest!
Gamer 101 *youre
you're
well he's got guts, but he didn't tell a word about AMD and Vega.. coz we all know what this model and pricing is all about, out of pure horrer of AMD in a come back stage.
vysakh haritharsion why would he talk about AMD and Vega in an Nvidia Rant video? On top of that he's sponsored. I advise you not to become a RUclipsrs with sponsors or they'll stop supporting you on the first day itself.
Vega isn't out yet, so there's really not much to say at this point. Also, does AMD care that much about what Nvidia does with its $1400 GPUs? I would imagine the focus from AMD would be targeting the more mainstream market, rather than trying to sell low volume $1000+ cards. I could be wrong here, but I don't really see a new Titan mattering much when Vega launches.
Guys dont buy the new Titan XPP, it only gave me 10 more fps in mine sweeper
well that seems legit!!!
I have to have one now! 10 fps holy Sh!t balls!
lets figure out what nvidia did.
first release the gtx 1080 and gimped titan x (people flocks in and buy it)
next release the gtx 1080 ti and claim that is faster than the titan x(gimped titan x. people flocks in)
release the real full titan x(triple dipping)
also whoever says that nvidia is not marketing their titan xp for gaming just look at their page:www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/titan-xp/
alcidiow So true my man.
you could argue that the people behind this strategy are brilliant. they have a monopoly in the high end segment (until vega arrives) and with their tactic most people don’t even feel screwed by them.
alcidiow I agree, but what is the alternative, buy an AMD card? They have absolutely nothing on the top end that comes close. I hope Vega does well, but I'm not holding my breath.
Nvidia is talking out of both sides of their neck

Timothy Gibney Are you high ? Vega not even released yet and he already benchmark it ?
Clearing their stocks before Navi................
Actually taking all the Vega potentials makes sense too.
Or both. Probably both
THere are demos and the CEO of Nvidia worked at AMD and knows about the pipeline and spec and performance goals.
Timothy Gibney AMD has way better performance for its price

980Ti. Still rocks at 1440p.
Man, NVidia is fuckin up
What? by releasing faster and faster cards?
Within a few months of each other, yes.
Would you prefer if Nvidia released GPUs at scheduled intervals like Apple does with I phones? we can all line up too.
I dont want that, keep them coming Nvidia, anytime you like.
Carnie Style Man... I fucked up
No, people who buy Titans are fucking up.
Just waiting for Vega to be released.... Even though I'm a Nvidia fan I hope that the new Vega series does well and puts Nvidia in their place.
.
Doubt it. Nvidia are the kings.
Vega is already way too late and like ryzen won't outperform competition.
Peto111222 ryzen does out perform Intel. You are ignoring the diffrent metrics
Oh man I lost it on Titan Vista followed by Titan 7. 😂😂😂 Thanks Jay!
Ben Fowler vista will be slow af kappa
Ben Fowler can't wait for titan 10 creators edition ( anyone know what I'm on about)?
Well actually, since next generation will be called Volta, it will be Titan X (V) :D

Good vid jay. I got two titan x pascal in my rig and am well disappointed they have done this. I will be sending a strong word email to nvidia. Also next upgrade may even stay away from nvidia and give my money to amd
i'd bet they have a person dedicated to hate mail.
MrFlo0p how would you know that he is even a kid?
MrFlo0p lol sorry that I upset you and I am mid 30s and pay for everything my self.

AllAroundUnderground Do you watch AvE?
Just the tip mind
Rubberband man edition.
Titans are not worth it if your only using your PC for gaming.
Camo bot agreed
Camo bot Yeah but their performance is unbeatable.
Quadro P6000 beats them
yeah but those cost like twice as much, and those are actually not for gaming, those are literally designed for compute power and not graphics power.
If you are a 3D animator person, and you use Octane Render, you need as many cuda cores as you get your hands on. Titans are not worth it to 99% of people
*I have a founders edition 1080 holy shit stop releasing new cards*
Why, so you can feel better about yourself having overpriced graphics card for playing games? You`re wasting your life man.
Mena, what are you even doing here?
weed man dose it make your 1080 worse ?
*Titan XM: Maxwell Titan*
*Titan X: First Pascal Titan*
*Titan XP: Second Pascal Titan*
should be named like that
Dex Since it's Pascal structure,by default we consider first Titan X Pascal as Titan Xp, but Nvidia even has no idea for naming the second gen TitanX,
Titan X: Maxwell
Titan XP: Pascal
Titan Vista: 2nd Pascal - that is a total shitload from nVidia, just to see how much they can piss their customers off and have them still buying nVidia, because, come on it's nVidia ;-)
I literally bought mine 1 week befor the 1080Ti was announced.................... I swear I always buy sh!t at the worst time :(
bought my EVGA 1080SC I mean btw, not the titan I wasnt paying $1200 p haha
the titan series got beat by the 80ti card of that generation within weeks every time, and the worst part is they are only there to make the $700 price tag look like you are actually getting a good deal on the 80ti cards.
PandaGaming89 that's not that bad.
jan409 did the titan beat 980ti? (maxwell titan)
lars Olofsson no. The 780 Ti beat the original Titan. The 980 Ti smoked the Maxwell Titan, and the 1080 Ti beats the original XP. The Titan series has always been a rip off, and I just laugh at everyone who brags they have a Titan due to the fact that my Ti series card will always beat them for considerably less price.
personally i'm waiting for the titan 8.1
Fox Unit Delta I'm waiting for the 10 bro they say it's gonna demolish every graphics card that's ever been released
Ramez Elprince It will have DX12 support!
Ramez Elprince are we gonna have to download that graphivs card since at launch the 10 was a free option and later versions people had to buy it. I hope it has rgb lighting
I think the titan 9 is the best value
7 8 9 :)
Exact same story as with the original TITAN, when the 780 Ti and TITAN Black came out.
nvidia and intel are basically on the same family
So does that mean that ryzen and amd are in the same family
@@brextonthomas1966You might be on to something...
"Thats a load of cruck" - JayzTwoCents, a new word :D
think he said crock
It looks like someone is feeling the pressure from Vega
Lucas Suhadolnik or pressuring vega to be good and pressuring amd to realeace vega
I really hope that that Vega is not just a paper tiger in this case, because if it is, Nvidia just sunk them before they even left the drydocks.
Vega does not even exist.
Aaponton that makes no sense from a business standpoint
or try to kill AMD GPU sales before they even come out.
Looks like Nvidia started doing what Intel has been doing for a long time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
indeed xD

Bons to last episode, Titans Ex-Pee.. Virginia acted demickey..
this is the knee jerk reaction to Vega. I really can't wait to see what other limb they chop off. maybe I can get a dirt cheat 1080 instead of 1070.
Dinky Di and by same performance you mean faster
Probably NVIDIA have nothing left to beat Vega
georgain swimmer yeah, I hope when Vega launches the 1080 will drop a lot when people panic sell theirs so I can pick up a second
haha thats cute, they've already beaten Vega, since Vega isnbt even out.
But now I'm afraid if I buy top end, something new gets immediately announced.
what the about next month? TATIN Xp plus? How about TITAN Xp plus pro? NVIDIA , it's the way to punch titan player in the face. TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!

Why the f did they not just wait to launch the Volta Titan?? We didn't need a Titan Pascal Refresh... or maybe they could of just offered step up to all existing Titan owners?
Justin Delpero Due to their market share, they will most likely do both. There are, unfortunately, always those willing to buy Team Green's latest
* could have - you dumb shit
because they have excess production of the silicon that they would rather sell at 1200 than throw away?
Aleksy Karnasiewicz because a shit that's dumb makes total sense. By the way, the erroneous phrase "could of" is due to the very similar pronunciation of could've. So it's not really a big deal bro, chill.
Justin Delpero If it's so similar and you are aware that's it's easily misused and wrong then why the fuck are you using it? That shows how ignorant and stupid you are. Apart from your bad writing skills.
5:55 - Someone was told no, they can't have 2 of the new shiny cards! ;-)
They weren't for me
Oh come on Jay, I was pulling your chain...
Hi tech deals! :D
Video length is 1 second above 10 minutes. Taking notes from pyrocynical I see...
Well played jay, well played...
thanks for being one of the only honest youtubers out there Jay, hats off to you
the new one is the TITANic-X
... Oh boy I did not realice how bad that sounds..... Anyone knows if there is a porno version of TITANIC ?
Yeah, Bitanic
No but there is a restaurant called "Thaitanic"
Well, at least it nails the sinking aspect...
That's brilliant

This is my second video I have watched by you. Just subscribed, very educational and entertaining.
isn't nvidia monopoly a beautiful thing?
Ryzen>Intel
+MLG Individual That is true, but there is nothing AMD is doing about it as they do not have a competitive gpu right now for someone who wants gtx 1070 performance or greater
nope
William Suan the 290x outperforms 780ti yet most people got a 780ti over the 290x and 290x was cheaper
TheBcoolGuy You could apply that to literally any technology though... prices go down with age.
+Five Four, I don't get it: are you suggesting that G-Sync is a good, consumer-positive technology?
G-Sync is actually the worst. High licensing fees. Almost none of the companies support it.
what is wrong with the 970 i have one.. is there a problem?
I buy a titan for my new pc build then The 1080ti comes out now a new titan Thanks NVIDIA!
you can give me your titan jk
E Pearson give it to me and get the new Titan
$1,000
sent it back and just wait a little?
Buying the 2nd gen Titan X is a bad idea in itself because the first gen was followed by the 980Ti, so Nvidia releasing a 1080Ti after X2 was almost certain
This is *kinda* like what they did with the 700/Titan series:
780 => 1080
OG Titan => Titan XP SP1 3584
780 Ti => 1080 Ti
Titan Black => Titan XPp Ti SP2 3840
I propose the name "Titan XPP" pronounced pee-pee. Their business model is "screw gamers, I want money!" so lets make sure it never happens again. I don't even have or want a TItan XP but even I'm angry at the middle fingers to people who trusted Nvidia.
Woah great minds think alike i also suggested to call it the Titan X PEE-PEE :D
Trusted what? That they wouldn't improve on their products and release new improved ones in 8 months??? Do they not teach common sense / business sense in high school these days?
I see you everywhere!
How can someone so pretty be knowledgeable about graphics cards. Where can I find these women?!?!
Titan Vista and Titan 7 ? XDDDDDDDDD I'm dying!!! How about Titan 10! xD
You lost me from you reading news on the toilet!
Nedelcu Catalin Titan 8.1
Titan 10 will send all your data to Nvidia and display ads inside games
Lord Skrubz more like Titan 3.5
At Titan 10 we would be back to calling Titan X again lol
'Older titan x" Ouch!!!!!! Feel the pain of the 1080ti & titan owners!! xD
not so much for 1080ti user but hell if i bought n titan x end of last year just to see this ? i would never buy nvidia again lol
Uys Schickerling True that !
Titans are bait cards this has happened like 3 times already 780ti 980ti and 1080ti. Its for dumb people who cant wait to get good top end cards.
HaplessIdiot what happened to Titan Black?
To be fair...
If you feel pain for technology...
"progressing" making your ridiculous expense obsolete than u never should have purchased a Titan to begin with.
( Or I just always assumed they R for whoever can afford and will upgrade to whatever represents the performance king with "EVERY" iteration no matter what "AND" without any significant consideration/fiscal impact )
It's understood to be a fleeting "prestige" purchase that requires yearly if not bi-annual investment for those who got it like that. Looked in that light...
I suppose it is far less extravagant than the douches who can and do collect Pagani's and Lambo's with every iteration. ( in comparison u could even say the rich computer nerd looks like acetic monks compared to the prestige car collectors? )
Or a drop in the bucket for big data/industrial/commercial enterprise needs for banks of TESLA computation?
Could care less if they just provided the $499 baseline priced reference GTX X80 fer the regular joe who could invest ( because it IS an expense for us ) in their refresh with an enthusiast card that simply outperformed anything in last years iteration.
I seem to remember Nvidia doing the same thing back in the Kepler days. "At the heart of the Titan Black is the same Kepler GK110 GPU as in the GTX Titan, GTX 780 and GTX 780 Ti, but here it is fully enabled and overclocked too."
The question is not why... But as long as NVIDIA users are willing to pay for it, why not? LOL
Their products line is nonsensical and obviously out to gouge wallets. Oh well, nobody protests so...
Thanh Le exactly
Why I have a 1060 lmao
Thanh Le Literally the Apple of computer hardware manufacturers. People have just bought the new aftermarket 1080ti's but will line up all night for this Titan Xp. It's absurd.
Florian Oprescu no
f*ck NGreedia - I have a Titan XP and was thinking of selling it (for a little over half the price :@ ) for a 1080ti but I'm not gonna do it now....I'm jumping over to team red as soon as they come out with some competition
Mihail Draganov if you want performance per price and game at 1080p, team red already has the best out there. If you wanna buy a lambo instead of a porsche, nvidia.
I totally agree - if I was using a 1080p monitor I was gonna go with RX 480 over the 1060 anyday....BUT I have a triple monitor setup (not only for games but for work as well) with 2x1080p on the sides and 1x1440p in the middle so for now I'm stuck with NGreedia
As I said in the first comment as soon as there is competition from AMD for the market I'm looking for I'm jumping to them
What do you mean "lose money"? If I sell a weaker card for 750$ and buy a more powerful one for 700$ I'm a few FPS and 50 bucks ahead :D The loss of hundreds of $ already happened when I bought the Titan XP :)
but who gonna buy a titan for 750$ if he can have a brand new 1080ti for 700$ ?
Uria 64800 The guy who wanted a titan but didnt want to shell out 1.2k. Titan buyers don't need to make sense.
Nvidia is taking notes from razor on naming products
I am Razor. You mean RazEr am I right ?
*No.1 on the Blacklist Baby*
you are correct im sry for being bad at spellingg.
RAZOR Callahan this made me lol so hard xD i love NFSMW 2005
Funny thing recently after the GTX1080TI was announced , 2 days later the GTX1080 cards in AUSTRALIA when from AUD$1000-AUD$1050 DOWN to AUD$650-700 almost OVERNIGHT
*Adds to list of reasons my next card will be from AMD*
Descorath PhysX was somewhat relevant back then, also AMD drivers were having issues and even BSoD-ing.
An honest review from an NVidia sponser. Well done J
Need to get me two new Titans to fix this."
wait for vega 1080s will drop.
Flizzy Duck titans are just for people who throw their money like garbage and want max performance
Because they( titan customers logically ) r the kinda douche I b jelly fer where price is no consideration...
who can maximize with two Titans in sli where your argument falls apart because you assume the end setup. ( 2 1080 in sli does not equal the performance "potential" of any card more powerful regardless if it is more powerful than the single card )
That you added that price performance ratio together and placed import on it's significance proves that you are not the Titans intended market. ( yer like me.... one of the kool kids :) )
I deal with this so much, I dump a crapload of cash on a 8800 gts, and a new better card gets released a few years later for the same price. I mean, come on... reward your original consumers...
This feels like anyone who has the old titan x pascal, including myself, got scammed.
Guys should I buy Titan XP or wait for Titan Vista ?
Amrael skip the vista, 7 will be great. 8 will be terrible, but they will patch it to 8.1 and that will improve it a lot.
YourPalHDee and free Upgrade to titan 10 from 7,8,8.1
Nano LP Titan 10 will be the last graphics card they ever need to make
I'd wait dude, Titan 95 is coming out soon
wait until titan 7 titan vista is suck hahaha 😁✌
i have 2 1080 Tis in SLI and a core 2 duo, will the gpu bottleneck the cpu's performance?
Aaron No. The GPU's will be a massive bottleneck.
Aaron be careful this setup may cause a black hole
Andres, try reading what he wrote again...the irony is strong.
Andres Perales Lopez. Were you born without a sense of humour or did you lose it somewhere? Have a wonderful evening sir!
just download faster RAM and you should be fine. I heard there is a bottleneck between the 2 CCXs of the C2D ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Great video as always Jay! May I ask what desk you have in your background?
I'm not sure who this card is for, I feel like everyone that buys a Titan level card already picked up one when the Titan XP released in August. How many of theses could they really sell?
Matt DiCicco world is a big place
I think they just do it as a status thing
Matt DiCicco 'the design and purpose of this card is solely for learning and further development in research facilities to further understand science' long explanation short, cause of science that us dumb peeps don't understand, xD
Time for an upgrade then, almost a year passed.
this is why i cant build a new computer.
shogungekko don't be mislead, there are far cheaper options for building a pc
shogungekko trust me buy 1070 over Titan x
shogungekko these cards are just overkill man you can get a 1070 for like half price with such unnoticeable difference.
choose the cheaper but high performance man, you don't really need that big power for just playing game except if you are developer somekind of game / graphic design
2x GTX 680 SLI still pull 1080p60 just fine on maxed out AAA releases, and that's a 5 year old card.
Although to be fair, two EVGA GTX 680s are still $700 used, so *SHRUG*.
After New Titan XP, Nvidia will release GTX 20 series after few months
Yaman and then the volta gaming line starting 2018
yiihaaaaa
But it even worse to see people keep buying overprice gpu that isn't the Titan card and people seem to not know how to balance a checkbook when they are buying a new cards every years like the drone of apples to get less fore more.
is NVidia panicking?
Victor Hassan MAINLY BECAUSE OF VEGA I THINK SO ..
namcost Now let's see how the Vega x2 does...
Next up in NVIDIA lineup, Titan Xp Sp3
I'll always stick with the middle ground, whenever I do upgrade my 3GB 1060 it'll only ever be to a 1260 or later, don't need flagships that have their own flagships. Refreshes need to stop happening, do the best you can at the time & if your product sucks try better next gen. That's my advice to all PC part related companies.
Titan XP was Titan X(Pascal) now its titan Xp(Pascal)
renos harizonas thanks! i was so confused
renos harizonas cause the lil xp got abit more xp and evolved to xpp... lmao this makes no sense but what the heck,
N-ninja Xp(P) is the new.X(P) is the current one.X(M) is the old.The large letters refer to the architecture.Like Pascal and maxwell.Cause nvidia had an titan. X(Maxwell) titan X(Pascal) and Titan Xp(Pascal)
TITAN XP
boosts windows XP Performance
itsMagiK heh heh heh. good one
titan vista
dx10 support
Titan XP > Titan Vista > Titan 7
Leo Jan Galo wait titan 10 creators edition will be great...
N-ninja Just wait... We will be forced to upgrade from Titan 8 to Titan 10. Its going to track everything we do!
So this is Nvidia's *FOURTH* flagship of this architecture iteration in 1 year... Are you feeling fleeced yet?
Ngreedia outdid themselves this time!
Terrantulla no concurrence
let's call it the titan y, pronounced as titan why
Jonas van der Schaaf thats a fucking genius idea
This makes me want AMDs vega to be performance competing.
Just got out of chemotherapy and this made my day! Nobody is going to buy this shit. Except you J... In the name of Terry Crews.... Which is OK.
Those who buy such products have money to waste. Probably not hard earned :D
amd dominating the mid-range? guys, did you see the steam survery lately? unfortunately for amd, rx 480 is still underrated, GTX 1060 4.45% +0.37% March 2017, RX 480 1.05% +0.19% March 2017, 1060 sell four more times that their amd counterpart
This is why you don't buy Titans. Wait for the ti.
even better, wait for vega.
vega probably won't beat 1080 ti. i expect vega to beat 1080 slightly. but we know nothing about release date, it can be months away. they said just around the corner 2 months ago..
it probably beat titanXp V2 plus or whatever the desperate nvidia brings to the table, but yes we don't have time frame, and also yes it's on the corner, lol.
Marcelo Viana When people thought Vega would beat Titan Xp. It didnt beat 1080 lul
Ludvig Holst lul.
Why not Titan ZP? like from the Nvidia GTX Titan Z (Maxmell)
Elastico345 that would be a too simple naming scheme
Why not ZX? :p
Good job guys.
why is Nvidia releasing gpus none of us can afford that's why I'm 100% with amd high performance for low affordable prices
same here
Abel Pepin because you pay for a premium product. Nothing AMD has can get near nVidia. That's also the reason they are pricing them so highly because there is no competition.
David Stewart on high performance yes but 90 percent of people dont need that
AMD isn't far off the same level - and their cards are so far below Nvidia's pricetag - and Nvidia fanboys still eat up everything nvidia tells them.
Then month later you see a new card that's better for the same price or less, but at that point you just simply look at specs, see that is a little better for almost
Half the price, look back at your Titan x that still plays games great and just move on. My point is upgrade every few years regardless of what nvidia releases right after and be happy with what you got. I got a 1080ti and love it. Nvidia will see me again in a few years and when they do I better see 100% faster gpu over this 1080ti and I will gladly click on the "buy" button again. :)
Efrain Espinet people actually buy titans knowing the x80ti comes out right after it. Smh
"Deep learning"
Learning how to get deeper in your wallet for diminishing returns. Way to go Nvidia!
Jay... Nvidia just cancelled your sponsorship... lol
I still have the GTX 860M but I still like it and BF1 80fps on medium... That is completly ok i think...
80fps on medium....lol
well its a laptop so its not too bad...
Jay you are the most genuine person I've ever seen on RUclips. Simply wonderful
