Must-toonekurg~Storklets are fighting for their lives

- It started at 5:39 AM in the early morning.
The goshawk attacks them for a long time almost non-stop.
In the first video you can see that one has fallen out of the nest. It was attacked twice by the goshawk. Lasted in total over 5 hours. The little ones fought bravely.
Urmas Lett: / @urmaslett EENET:tv.eenet.ee/mu...
Looks like their fighting/defense instincts are quickly emerging. The stabbing of their beaks into the nest, loud chattering of their beaks, and 'growling'... And when the hawk comes at them, they make themselves big AND they face the attack, head-on (instead of cowering). Bravo!
Got to hand it to both for standing up to their foe! Good job, and don't give up. ❤
Oh nooo! I was worried the whole morning and thinking the hawk would come back for more. It came truth. Poor babies, I love you. Be brave, be tougher!
Thanks for sharing.

Storkies: two beaks are better than one,
Hawk: Ill be here all day.
Excellent close-up images.
Why do they keep poking the ground.
the poor babies! it’s so awful the little one fell off the side. you could hear him hit the ground. horrible sound.
it seem like this hawk is not going to stop. maybe he’s hoping he will tire them out and eventually catch one or both. hoping they survive.
can you tell me when they are in defensive position, why do they stab at the nest with their beaks?
Poking in the nest with beak picking up from Nest material is defensive ritual. They already do it like the adults. They are amazing. So young and so great. Very brave storklets
liznm
yes! they really are amazing. all of their behavior is so fascinating. this my first time watching a nest from the beginning, when they are hatched. i’m learning so much.
it’s so sad about the little one who fell.
@@liznm-natur-channel how old are they there liznm ?
These brave children have already lost brother or sister. Very sorry. Let them be safe💜
Actually they probably killed said brother or sister or would've had it not happened. These little killers are definitely survivors

They put up a real fight against the predator. Much noice and claping beaks. Also they make themselves very big. I hope they will make it, brave little storklets.
Me too
Real fight? Nothing happened..
@@jedsteelwell2354 obviously, they cant fight, only defend and try to intimidate.
@@obi-wankenabo6475 probably should have left fighting out of the heading then.
Seem like their eyes not open yet.
Smart birds to know that danger is lurking them
I never would have expected the full range of sounds, clicks and grunts. They sound like alien 👽 creatures.
What happened to 3rd fell out of the nest was it rescued they look close to fledgling.
it was eaten by the goshawk
One good connect so those talons and they are gone. Goshawk will not give up. They will wipe out a nest. Hopefully either the parents or these 2 that are left will be able to fight it off.
Why they keep peaking the ground?
@@sleeper9728 I was wondering the same thing, it seems to be caused by the stress of the situation

What the hell....this is terrible poor babies they really don't have a chance. 5 hours is crazy.
Gracias Liznm 🤗
Bimba nunca he visto éstos animales....cigüeñas? Pero no identifico.
Gracias

Very brave storklets! They'd have made a big meal for the raptor!

Courageous birds
Is it courage, or simply desperation?
I think the other may have survived
had it not been closer to the edge
It is hard to figure out our Beautifully Mother Nature! For some including Human Being gives lot - more than enough - to eat, but for the others leaves with virtually nothing to survive. It is totally very puzzling!
thank you liznm
You're welcome, Pamela :)
Video 👍
Colors are amazing on youngsters! Clack clack. Some birds are just so awkward young. Hopefully all goes well ❣
The ...... CCTV......Who ever installed it.... Amazing.
I wonder which one shouts, "Duck, he's coming". Yeah, they probably don't use the word, "duck". Cute how they lower their heads in unison.
They say.."monkey".. then they get down like one and make noises as close to a monkey as they can. We say duck and then we get down and make duck noises.
Is very beautiful 😃
Bless their hearts :'( They were sooo tired, they fought so hard! You say it lasted 5 hrs, where were the parents? Do you know the outcome of these storklets? Why didn't the parents help??? ty for sharing :'(
Parents were hunting. This Goshawk was a juvenile. I never saw such a long threat.
@@liznm-natur-channel I read other comments & your replies, I believe you would be right in saying since the Goshawk was young and not successful that it prob won't be back. Yes those little storklets made themselves so big and fought hard. I hope it doesn't come back. LOVE THE LITTLE STORKLETS ❤️ 🐣 ❤️ 🐣 ❤️ 🐣 ❤️
😣😣😥😥😥
all chicks are in danger because the raptor will keep coming back now, what a shame, they had a good start
It was a juvenile. I think he will not come back. I think he found easier prey for his exercise. I hope it! I never saw such a long threat. Usually it takes a fraction of a second, then they are successful. If they are not, they stay away if the prey is too big. This one was very inexperienced. A big bad luck for our third chick.
@@liznm-natur-channel that's good to hear, it would be a shame to lose all since the parents are taking care of them well
Damn! I was hoping that goshawk was going to get a large meal!
Me too
Goshawks have to eat too, right!
Did they make it?
They be like skiiiiyeeee then duck they ain’t lacking
Where are the parent birds?

Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Why do they keep biting the ground? Anxiety?
Agression

Hiding and waiting to see who wins 😃
Stay low, stay low. This is so awful, poor things, they have no defense against this kind of attack.
It was their style of defense. They made it as great as the adults. They must not lie down! They have to stand if a goshawk comes for attack

“Fighting for their lives”? That’s a bit of a stretch, to put it mildly. To put it LESS mildly, it was .
If this were a 15 round bout, Michael Buffer hadn’t even announced his copyright protected: “Let’s get ready to rumble!”😂
They were fighting for their lives. The goshawk was trying to hunt them both and they were able to fight and dodge the attacks....
That's fighting for your life, not click bait.

What about the third chick? Any info?
It is dead :(
@@liznm-natur-channel
By the third one being gone, that means more food for the other two. Therefore they grow stronger and healthier. There is a way with mother nature that works too benefit the whole. It's when humans interfere that the balance is upset and animals become less healthy and disease starts to affect all of them. When the weak, crippled and sick are removed, there is more for the rest to grow strong. By you shorting these films without hiding the truth of what happens, people get the chance to see mother nature at work. I've been watching your videos for ages now and you do an amazing job and show a wide range of birds of prey! You deserve recognition of some kind for your dedication and determination to produce a quality film with watching. It's not just entertainment, it's a learning experience!! Thank you for the hard work and sharing such quality nature films. We all benefit from what you are doing! People and animals alike!
Omg...this big so bored..🦅🦅🦅🦅😣😣
Useless bird of prey
How wrong you are. They keep the other bird and animals in check and keep the population healthier. It's been proven that when you remove the predators from the area, the habitat degrades and becomes less healthy. There are more sick and starving animals and diseases start affecting the rest of them. Don't think that just because it's a raptor that it doesn't have it's own enemies!!! Check out more in RUclips for information and you'll see that they too are often attacked in the nest!!
