Fun Fact: Big Pun was VERY heavily influenced by Kool G Rap.. So much so that he has once even bowed to him, and kneeled down kissing his ring.. And to be honest, you can see the influence from how he created rhyme schemes, and uses cyllables.
You should get into some Kool G Rap. That’s who influenced Pun’s style.

It was Big Daddy Kane from what Fat Joe always said not Black Thought, and from the intro into his second album the pieces that built pun had Kane included.

Story was, when Pun met Kool G for the first time, he got on his knee and kissed his ring on some mafia Don status shit. Pun owed Kool G Rap for his inspiration. You should check out Mobb Deep and Kool G Rap song, the Realest. That was one of Kool G Rap's best verse.

Review “Uncommon Valor” there’s two versions. I think the RA The Rugged Man version is more powerful. It’s a true story of his father in Vietnam. One of the best rap songs ever. His flow is insane and it’s all a true story. Biggie once said RA is the only rapper that could battle him and win.
