    You should have gone with the John Crews series icon rods from cashion . They are a faster action and crisper than the standard icon , but they are a slightly heavier action. Glad you're back making videos. Tight lines.

    I actually really disliked the 7’2 ml expride spinning rod at first but now I love it! It definitely has a little more power than previous models but it breaks in the more you use it and it’s definitely becoming my favorite drop shot/ micro tube rod ever.

    I got the 7'2" ml expride early luckily and fished with it all last year. It is a ml with a good backbone, not a medium. I could see it being called a ml+ compared to the 6'10" ml but I think that rod is just a noodle like the nrx dsr. Even the light+ has more backbone than the 6'10' ml so I consider the 7'2" a perfect med lite. Would recommend as an overall finesse rod. Loved casting dropshots and Ned rigs with it.

    The Certate is unbelievably good, makes the Exist feel redundant honestly, like Zillion G and Steez SV. I got one for mt most used freshwater spinning rod and a second 5000 one I’ve been putting through the paces with both surfcasting and jigging for giant striper and redfish. It’s a joy to fish

    You'll like that 7'2" expride. It's been a great finesse rod for me. I think you might have gotten the certate 3000 CXH which is actually a 2500 size body with 3000 size spool. I have a 4000 CXH which is a 3000 size body with 4000 size spool. Those compact sizes are nice though because you get the large spool but small body. Also, you can buy 2 bearings that are really easy swaps under the spool and on the main drive shaft, then you have the same bearing count as the old exist. Super easy swaps.

    Went on a spending spree, got the FMJ, One Ten Special and 23' Steez A II !!! The new Oneten Special also has the bigger guides. I love these more. Will be hard to but fun to compare sensitivity with the FMJ to my 873. Maybe overkill but love it. Got that new Expride Xh along with a 8.5 Curado 150 frog setup too! Almost went with the Steez 7'4 but I think Expride will be actually nicer for frogs.

    Just wanted to throw this out here. The new 13Fishing Envy Black III 7'3 medium heavy extra fast, is a freight rod for Texas rigs and jigs. If you ever get a chance to try that out and this is coming from someone that runs the NRX+ 873c CCR for jigs. I never fished any of the old Envy black series. But this one is definitely a good stick. Maybe a little bit overpriced though. But you won't be mad at it

    Once again a great review. I own the expride ML 7’2 and I love that rod for Ned rig and the only complaint I got with the expride and zodias is the first stripper guide is to close to the reel and I notice A little bit of line slap.

    That new FMJ is pretty damn powerful. I thought the new sleeper craw would be great for it at 5/8 and it threw it but did not load the rod completely. It might need a 1/2 oz jig and big plastic at total 3/4 to really load it.

    the certate is a nice reel. nice feel.
    ive really liked the exsense. but one problem i had with it which was troubling me, i broke off my line a number of times with it and i realized when i set the drag it wasnt what i expected. some reason it was different to set it from all my other reels. not sure if mine was faulty or not

    • @btran92
      @btran92 Год назад

      That’s because it has quick drag i.e. each tick of the drag increases more than say the drag on a Stella. I would say that this is the major difference between a Stella and the Exsence as the Stella drag is so fine tuned for micro adjustments (great for light line techniques). Where the Exsence drag will be beneficial is if you need to make sudden changes on the water when fighting a fish.

Ik Ben from hookup doesn't push Shimano but for $400 the Adrena I feel hangs for sure at least above the GLX and probably really close to the P5's and you have consider it's a pretty old rod.
