We have been told that the club have been 'planning' for this transfer window and have said they will back Ange. I'm fed up of being sold a dream and paying so much money for my season ticket, £7 for a can of guinness at the ground and told that we can't compete with the other clubs. We were ahead of arsenal a few years ago! we are the 8th richest club IN THE WORLD. wake up folks, we are being taken for fools by bean counters year in, year out.
You highlighted it early on, yet ANOTHER injury! How the hell do we expect any manager to have coped any better than Ange under these circumstances. He made a mistake v Everton 1st half for sure but most of this is down to the freakish amount of injuries. It is unprecedented but it isn’t going to last for ever and things will massively improve. Fans need to stop whining and get BEHIND the team right now. No excuses for the lack of activity in the transfer window though, utterly unacceptable, especially under these circumstances.
lol. Who caused the injuries? Ange. Who brought back both VDV and Romero too early without warmup games and got them injured again. Who refused to play Spence until he had to, flogging Udogie and Porro in his process? Who didn’t play Lankshear versus Tamworth who are part timer and 16th in their league. Why didn’t Yang Min Huauk get minutes in that game, surely he’s at non-league level. Why is he not playing Regulion who actually provides balance in the left when he’s fresh and all our other FB are knackered. This management of this squad has been nothing sort of a disgrace if you can see the errors I seriously don’t know what to say.
@Gggg-cq1ih Exactly. Ange plays him for our hardest Europa game. He scores and is never seen again. 🤣 It’s complete madness but blind fans say just back the com what may.
I knew this window would be difficult to get players. European competitions are usually done by now. This new format is a disruption. Teams have not yet locked in their positions. They don't know if they'll be in the next round or not. The players Spurs need in order to improve might not be available yet. Why would a team sell one of their better players if they have a shot at locking up a top 8 finish or a spot in the next round. Also, what he said about the player joining and almost immediately becoming 2nd or 3rd choice? This is why I've been saying Ange needed to give fringe players more opportunities before he ran the senior/starters into the ground. Moore, in his brief cameos, has show more than Werner. You don't want to keep signing players in front of him or he'll ask to leave. On a bigger scale, look at Palmer. Pep didn't give him mins, now he's one of the best attackers in the league.
It’s always refreshing to hear Dharmesh on here as he cures my therapy as you do LWOS and I can tell Ricky you have so passion and I know it’s hard for us supporting Tottenham but surely if we are at rock bottom then there’s only one way to go can’t get any worse, I am still Ange in but so hope Ange turns it around soon 🤘🤘🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏽🤘🏽🥂🥂🍾🍾❤️💗💖👄🗽🗽🗽🗽
Last time Spurs were this dire, it was £5 per match in Paxton as a Junior Spur. Second year of the Prem. Whilst that season was also demoralising, we were still a football club back then, but financially struggling. There is no excuse for the lack of ambition relative to profit that ENIC have sucked up for last twenty years.
The injuries are a excuse Bournemouth have more Injuries in the first team than us they are flying the team he put out there against everton you can't tell me we should be losing that game it's a excuse
It was the fact that he's one of the three players with the most match minutes played this season. He was so overworked that an injury - even the freak one he got in training - was a matter of when, not if.
Forget the injuries-most people would have accepted that, given the injury situation, finishing outside the top half would be understandable. However, the current level of performance is simply not good enough, and sitting 15th in the table is unacceptable. Instead of focusing solely on injuries, we should be analysing the results when the squad was at full strength. The decline in performance wasn’t a direct consequence of injuries; the drop-off was evident even before they became a major issue. Consider key moments, such as being gifted two goals against Chelsea and still losing, or the poor second-half performance against Brighton-these instances highlight a lack of elite game management, which has cost us a significant number of points. This is the real issue, not just the injuries. A deeper analysis is needed to understand how we could have secured more points both this season and at the end of last season, where poor game management resulted in dropped points. One telling statistic is the goal difference, which is actually quite damning. Having a positive goal difference but failing to close out games indicates a lack of a strong spine and poor in-game management. This should be a major concern. Additionally, the handling of squad rotation by Ange should be questioned. Players like Djed Spence and Sergio Reguilón, who are now being utilised, could have been integrated much earlier. We had suitable options in key positions-centre-backs, number 10s, and strikers-available on loan, yet Ange chose not to use them. If reinforcements were needed, they should have been recalled. The reluctance to utilise available resources suggests a preference for certain players, which can often be a manager’s downfall.
I feel for Ange and he has been unlucky, but it is no mystery or surprise that ENIC/LEVY do not properly support their manager. Shame, as i think with proper investment in the squad, it could have been so different. Bournemouth are a great example of how to get it done.
Marmoush is the only player City signed that I realistically see helping them the remainder of this season. The 3 defenders they signed are all young, under 20. I don't see them as upgrades on what they currently have. Will probably get very little mins.
The signs of over-training were there last October and it was obvious the team were knackered from the very start of games. The hamstrings were just the side-effect. Sprinters in athletics train very differently to middle distance and there is no one size fits all. Too many football managers dont understand that the rest period is as important as the exercise. This is not new as I learnt this over 50 years ago at Loughborough.
Injuries are our 1st team,,but levy needs to help ange, buy 2 more ,,we need players to give ange rotations,we have none,,but the kids are trying, how young is our team, omfg,we need a new medical team,
So we’re light on center backs but don’t recall Ash Philipps and we let Dorrington go out on loan. Ange is reluctant to try some of our young players like Lankshear, Dorrington & Phillips etc. His only played Bergvall, Gray & Spence due to lack of options, now look at them, they are best performers in the team at the moment. Does that not show you we need to give some of our young players a chance.
I get Dharmesh's point about bringing in players temporarily until Mickey and Romero return. But purchase players as future rotation options so we don't go through this again. It's a team of 25 players, not just 11.
I suppose it’s if you can attract players who are willing to sign as back ups. And if you can, are they of the quality to be viable rotation options. All of which is underpinned by what they’ll get paid. Dragusin has, overall, done well, but he’s that player profile you’re talking about and he’s unhappy with his lot, if we’re to believe his agent.
I don’t see anything that suggests levy is backing ange in fairness to ange the number of first choice players out injured and long term has not helped.
History tells us that Levy has always allowed the tail to wag the dog when a manager's future at Spurs is in doubt. Leaked player grumblings allow Levy to collect that get out of jail free card if and when he triggers the manager's dismal by saying he lost the dressing room. This scenario has played out far too many times for comfort
We're stuck with Ange until the summer unfortunately.. .but we have no future with him .Poor squad management, he knew the physical demand he puts the players he shouldn't have come without a quality fitness staff for the sake of his own reputation ...so stubborn not playing certain players enough and rinsing out others.. making silly statements that put unnecessary pressure on a young team. Yes we were behind him because we thought there was a method to the madness but now we see its just madness!😢
I for one think we are doing the right thing, basically. Going young, trying to find those potential max ceiling players early b4 they are super expensive and have to be overpayed for to get... As long as u don't fall out of the PL..., it's def the right thing to do. Go young, almost tank and then in 2-3 seasons u challenge again for a period of 4-5 years and can even go in the market to get that Kane, Son, Mbappé, Håland, or whatever his name is atm. The cherry on top. Prob with Levy though is that he will never buy that established superstar to get over the line..., sadly for the club or really the supporters. :|
Don’t tell me we can’t buy anyone. Money talks. If the board want to back Ange then get Patrick Dorku, Jonathan David & Cunha. Then we will salvage our season and these guys would push us on.
Well done Ricky and Jamie, you guys know spurs much better than Dhar and i say that respectfully. He looks at it from outside perspectives but we know where the issues lay. Well done on not accepting these excuses
No no no not having injuries. Last season was same and when came back we was worse. Buy bloody players like other teams. Liverpool will smash us in 2nd leg and villa will beat us then what's everyone excuse
Ange is the worst manager I have seen at Spurs and I have supported them for over 60 years. Inflexible with tactics, other teams know exactly how to play us, increasingly unpleasant when being interviewed.
I CAN TELL YOU NOW.,..IT WON'T WORK 😮😮😮 THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE! IT'S NOT INJURIES OR THE PLAYERS, IT'S A MANAGER WHO'S OUT IF HIS DEPTH AND IS DRAGGING SPURS INTO THE MUD.. HE HAS TO SACKED NOW 😮 HIS COACHING IS NON EXISTSANT..... HE'S MADE THE TEAM WITH NO STRUCTURE AND NO IDEA HOW TO CHANGE IT😮
Journalists get things wrong as well many many times, doesn’t matter how much respect we might have. For a story sometimes you’d take risks. Anyway don’t believe these rumours
So you are telling us the Spur players are soft as butter really all the teams work hard on the premier league maybe the players are too soft we need to turn it over all the softy players than
Any. B would get game time ..Romero wants out and VDV’s hamstring will ping . Spurs do NOT plan their transfers . The idea of clubs competing for transfers. Spurs were woeful before the injuries .. Summer will bring nothing we will have no European money ..and the “ profits from the club are hived off to board members through a number of shell companies .” world of hotspur the death of Tottenham Hotspur.. Darmesh completely misses the word profit from the transfer market . Spurs buy any punts hoping for profit . Look at the players other clubs pick up . Poor recruitment poor scouting and Levy’s interference.. Joke Club . Laughing stock . Success is factored out failure is factored in.
The amount of injuries is not a coincidence. It’s the way we play, train and don’t rest players who clearly need it when overplayed. Kulu or Porro will be next out. Medical staff needs overhaul too
Were the 3rd highest spenders, NET, not gross, NET £450m+ in the last 5 years. so we dont buy someone at 50m then sell someone for 40m so actually only spent 10m, weve literally spent 450m+ in the last 5 years. We spend too much on young lads, now dont get me wrong, if this bunch stays together for the next 4-5 seasons and play, they will be immense. We need to balance it more with money spend on 1st team for now.

we were still rubbish when we had a better squad; other teams have many injuries; no tactical nouse from the manager.
No loans Dharmesh? We cant find anyone its that tough for teams?
Wouldn’t be surprised if spurs went for Delap just to weaken Ipswich.
Harry Redknapp was sacked when we were 4th in the league 🤔
Villa have bought 2 new players Citeh have bought 1not super expensive..Forest and AFC in for Cunha.,. Tottenham in for a thrashing at Liverpool.
Who is in charge of forward planning at this club??? It is so crap every window
Great question..but don't say that to Dharmesh he will tell you to pull yourself together
I CAN TELL YOU NOW.,..IT WON'T WORK 😮😮😮
THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE! IT'S NOT INJURIES OR THE PLAYERS, IT'S A MANAGER WHO'S OUT IF HIS DEPTH AND IS DRAGGING SPURS INTO THE MUD..
HE HAS TO SACKED NOW 😮
HIS COACHING IS NON EXISTSANT.....
The bad results and performances started well before the injuries. This is a poor excuse.
How many players don’t want to play for Ange risking hamstrings and ligaments ..Darmesh is being deliberately vacuous.
So you are telling us the Spur players are soft as butter really all the teams work hard on the premier league maybe the players are too soft we need to turn it over all the softy players than
Ange in Lange Out
Lange out ...Ange out ....more adaptable... coach of players.. In
Medical staff needs overhaul too
Obviously....
He’s totally out of his depth, anyone with a brain can see that !!!
Rodon brought in for 20m? Check your facts
I think you will find the fee paid to sign Rodon from Swansea was £11million
Were the 3rd highest spenders, NET, not gross, NET £450m+ in the last 5 years. so we dont buy someone at 50m then sell someone for 40m so actually only spent 10m, weve literally spent 450m+ in the last 5 years.
We spend too much on young lads, now dont get me wrong, if this bunch stays together for the next 4-5 seasons and play, they will be immense. We need to balance it more with money spend on 1st team for now.
worldifhotspur..the death of Tottenham Hotspur …great article …
