Ryan is a master class in genius for this, plus he’s such a sweet soul who probably never expected this to blow up like it did, and watching him tear up at moments during the series was so amazing.

2 tips: Shorts subscribers are just subscribers. Not viewers, they make your channel Dead Second) Try thumbnails that "Show" Not Tell what the Video is about
@@aarav_sharma My personal experience has been pretty cool, the past 28 days I’ve gotten around 16.7M returning viewers for shorts so I personally don’t believe they’re just subscribers in my opinion especially after seeing how many of them keep in touch through the comments on every video, but the algorithm definitely splits the audiences and doesn’t show all of them them my long form videos. Dude, love the videos you post on this channel. I watch nearly every one, and the reason why is crystal clear. It's not because you have great titles & thumbnails, though you do. And it's not because you've got a great voice while telling a great story, though you do. It's because of one thing and one thing only, and I can sum that one thing up with just one word. As someone who had never heard of Ryan Trahan before, this video was pretty spot on! Daily uploads at the same time each day was a huge one for me! Became an everyday routine to watch it after I got home from work
I'm a big fan of Ryan and after the daily vlogs, I feel more connected with him. I think that's one key part as well that the other RUclipsrs needs to follow.
I love intentional imperfections. There's a reviewer/commentary/response youtuber named Jay Exci who does something similar where he will improvise, yell, record things differently, and leave in some of his mistakes to throw in a bit of added comedy to keep the video fresh and keep the audience guessing when the next joke will happen. Just looking at one video, he leaves in comedic stammering and uses monotone comedically when most monotone would put people off. It's really fun.
Many people would say MrBeast is their favorite RUclipsr, but I believe Ryan is my favorite, he is a master storyteller, he keeps me engaged in every video
I find it amazing that the video you used as an example of how he brings in new viewers was the first one I saw, seeing that man wake up in Vegas with 6 bucks hooked me

I think another fascinating component is how hyped up the series was *by other creators.* Literally thousands of creators on Twitter are constantly posting praise for the series. Creators are spreading his content to their audiences by virtue of putting it on a rightfully deserved pedestal. I think that element of “real recognize real” (or more realistically for many, simply commenting praise to be part of something important), resulted in a ton of additional growth. His series being recognized by so many trusted creators as a great series further pushed audience interest. Thoughts?

It's crazy, I remember watching his cross country running tutorials like 6 years ago when I was in high school. I don't think he even had 10,000 subs yet. Fast forward a couple years and I saw the new type of content he was making and I knew he was gonna blow up.

That is actually impressive. I wonder how he was able to come up with such good ideas. I am definitely going to try and implement a lot of these techniques into my videos!
Another aspect I found kept me watching was being able to constantly see how much money he was working with and the possibility it could all be gone by the end of the episode. Also how he found ways to retain the money through gift cards, items, physical assets, etc. Showed the fascinations that come with living life day by day and gave this perception he was almost in a video game with a highly fluctuating balance, an inventory and travel.
You gained a subcriber, second video I watched from you and your content is professional and I can tell that you put in the effort. Thanks for the help.
Please make part 2,3 and on. About this series. You got the potential to study RUclipsrs hidden intriguing plan. I've been following you from the last year taught me lot. Nobody does that way a. Colin and samir does but not in depth like you. Y
You waited for 30th day of his challenge to come to upload this video. In this way more people will watch ryan because it's end of his series and so more people will get recommended to your video. Paddy you're Genius!
The insight is pretty basic but in the end that is all you need to grow a youtube channel - just follow one main tactic and adjust in time. I think there is no perfect solution to grow your channel, you just need to apply what fits for you. Great video - really appreciate the work!
Never knew a person who's main goal was to make Dr. Phil his granddad and beat him in subscribers would beat thr whole youtube community love you Ryan Trahan ❤️
Great breakdown as always! Another obvious social hack he used was simply delivering it to MrBeast. Hyped a huge audience beforehand and allowed for a banger first thumbnail. Interesting to see that after usually 4-5 million views in the first 24 hrs, views seem capped at 5-6 million in the first week after uploading and 6-7 million for >1 week old videos so far. I think he should have utilised "the great reset" in the thumbnails less often, as it takes away a lot of the suspense within the video. He left it out once or twice and the video was much more exciting not knowing what was gonna happen at the end.
@@HB-kl5ik It obviously will continue to get some views. I wonder if people will start to rewatch the entire series in a couple of months, like they would with the office :D
Paddy you have mastered faceless explainer videos! Eveyone you do keeps getting better and more engaging to see. Thank you for posting these great insights! 🤓 Eventually we will see a video like this about your channel 😁
You forgot a couple of things which he did which made the series a success: Making the viewers part of the journey by mostly saying "We", interacting with as many people as possible, no matter their age, being super friendly to anyone, which made him a hit for especially older viewers. Selling his bikes e.g. for less/the same than what he paid for it = not screwing anyone over. Using the always same terms like Game Plan, Money Making Method, and The Great Reset for which he somewhere along the line invented a 'pose' which was really smart. Small but important things.
You did a great job on this video. A lot to learn from Ryan’s series. Now, I gotta figure out how I can do a daily inspired by this everyday I’m on tour 🤣🤘🏽

1:07 and that's a GOOD retention rate for most content all things considered
Another aspect I found kept me watching was being able to constantly see how much money he was working with and the possibility it could all be gone by the end of the episode. Also
how he found ways to retain the money through gift cards, items, physical assets, etc. Showed the fascinations that come with living life day by day and gave this perception he was almost in a video game with a highly fluctuating balance, an inventory and travel.
Ryan is a genius when it comes to making film. He is an actor, director and producer.
He is born a legend, and will forever be one.
Subbed, cuz
1) great analysis
2) great dare
3) great fundraiser
Sure, Ryan’s series was a masterclass, but this video… this video was SERIOUSLY a masterclass🤝
Really well put! I was wondering why I felt so hooked!
We love Ryan Trahan💪💯
0:21 That tool looks familiar ;)
Epic as always 🚀👌🏻
First like
second like ahah
you forgot the most important thing
ryan's aging process from a 23 year old to 28 year old in 30 days
I really enjoy how you break it all down. Thanks Paddy
Absolute banger of a video! Ryan Trahan has changed the landscape of RUclips!
This series was epic! Taking notes in this video!
Y
When your favorite youtuber analysis channel makes another video on your favorite youtuber, you know it's gonna be good 😁😁
I watched his series, and they were amazing, just everything you told is true! I just kept watching day by day and I watched the entire video.
You waited for 30th day of his challenge to come to upload this video. In this way more people will watch ryan because it's end of his series and so more people will get recommended to your video.
Paddy you're Genius!
You got me ;)
@@paddygalloway8780 ur genius and u uploaded it right before Ryan trahan will upload
Wow Chaitanya tum to bade genius nikle 😁
Series in totality has 191M views and it's growing, I stumbled upon this bot on twitter that gives regular updates on this series
@@HB-kl5ik It obviously will continue to get some views.
I wonder if people will start to rewatch the entire series in a couple of months, like they would with the office :D
@@timhaubeil yeah just watched the last episode holy shit...
Paddy you have mastered faceless explainer videos! Eveyone you do keeps getting better and more engaging to see. Thank you for posting these great insights! 🤓 Eventually we will see a video like this about your channel 😁
been waiting for your video about ryan trahan as i see him grow from 2M to 9M!!!!
Best series I’ve watched. I hadn’t heard of Ryan and was immediately hooked.
I enjoyed a lot watching the series, but having watched this video made me realize how good the series were
This guy started a revolution ever since he started youtube. i started watching him when he was under 1m and now he is at 10m
