I've been exploring the winds for years; I love the fact that you got off route and explored a more remote area. basic positive and I could relate to your peaceful vibes never stop exploring.
I grew up in Fremont County, after I joined the Navy I didn’t go up to those alpine areas like I used to. I’m 63 and in good health so I might do it again. Respect it or it could kill you, it’s beautiful and worth the time.
The beauty of that place is outstanding. You have managed to capture it for a long time in the video. Otherwise watching hiking videos where people just walk n walk with just few seconds of the shots of the scene leaves a dissatisfied feeling. I like this style of hiking too where one spends day or two in the picturesque location, rather than just walking in trees. Beautiful video 🎉🎉
Great video Eric, I couldn’t stop watching. Thanks for keeping it real . No fluff . Hey man, just a side note, I used to live in Hummelstown ! And Middletown for a while…
Eric- It was so nice to meet you today. Sometimes it can be a very small world. I wish you joy and safety in your travels. You are an original. I hope you make it to Alaska next year.
@@ericcomp7032 Oh, I've been there a lot over my life. In fact, just last year I backpacked from Elkhart Park to Big Sandy in 4 days! Nothing compares to the Winds!
What a practical n genuine video sir. As for most remote . . . It’s up there, but the much bigger Absarokas = far more remote n even intimidating n not far away from where you were. Don’t believe me, try finding a consistency of videos n beta on RUclips, online. Nevada has several more remote locations, n many deep canyons of Idaho, Utah = quite remote. Canyons tend to be the most remote places. Idaho has two of the deepest canyons in US n N. America and one is shared with Oregon. The other, good luck unless you paddle for days.

@@gravedigga314 thanks man 🥳 Wyoming has been very welcoming to this transient. I hope you get the same energy I've received. I've been slowly making my way through some of your back catalog. Good shit 🙏
Is that in Colorado? It looks like it could be either pikes Peak or Mount Evans. It’s gorgeous up there. I’ve been up there many times myself and I’ll go again next year.
Skeet Skeet😂 "If you ain't getting lost every once in a while, are you really exporin'?" 💪 You found a bomb remote campsite, and I can imagine how it felt and looked when you explained " The opening scene from Bambi"🤎 15:05 my goodness, what an absolute gorgeous view😍 Such an epic trip out for your 44th birthday🤙 Your ending words were so encouraging for others and equally great for your future self when looking back💯 Thanks Eric💥⛏️
What backpack is the one you have? Where to order from please and what size is it? Ive been looking at different ones but not sure what size to get and how they all are. Also don't want to spend a fortune but obviously don't want cheap quality. I stupidly got one from temu 😒 i wont make that mistake again. It tore up already just from putting my stuff in it and putting it on once or twice.

Right on. I framed houses in my twenties and framed a neighborhood right off 283 going towards Hummelstown. Spent 2 years working in that area

Your basecamp is above treeline. So many signs in the winds saying no fires above treeline.
Why?
What is tree line? I see trees behind his fire. I don't understand what you mean it's above tree line. Maybe bc I'm not a hiker or camper.
