I saw the leaked trailer and they should've dropped it! It shows Eric's ship catching on fire, and when Ariels saves him, Triton asking her why she went to the surface , it shows Ursula taking her voice. I was so skeptical about Ursula but she sounds amazing, almost identical! I'm honestly so excited for this because the music is going to be amazing. If all else fails at least the music won't disappoint!

People don't realize how much RANGE Melissa has as a performer. I believe she's going to KILL this role! I can't WAIT to see her as Ursula!!
As always, I am cautiously optimistic. But this time to an extreme degree. You see, Ursula is my favorite Disney villain. Not just villain-ESS! My favorite Disney ***VILLAIN*** ! Period!!! When her peers include such epic characters as Cruella deVil, Maleficent, Hades, Scar, Jafar, Queen Grinhilde, the Horned King, Frollo, Sher Khan, and a laundry list of other greats, she stands for me as the best!
And the reason this is an issue for me is because, unfortunately, I dislike Melissa McCarthy. I don’t care for her particular brand of obnoxious comedy. There is a glimmer of hope, however, in her favor. About a year ago, there was a miniseries on Hulu called “Nine Perfect Strangers”, and Melissa McCarthy was one of the principal members of the series’ stellar ensemble cast.
The series was a drama, and I clearly remember rolling my eyes when I saw she was going to be in it. I just assumed that, with what she is best known for, she was intended as the comedy relief. I! WAS!! WRONG!!!
In a head spinning reversal, she actually ended up being my FAVORITE character! While she was still comedic, she mostly abandoned her usual comedic style for a more subdued performance that focused primarily on playing a successful author that has been emotionally fractured by a recent relationship, and uses humor to mask how deeply she’s truly been hurt. I was, quite literally, shocked at how vastly different her character was.
So basically, I was… dismayed to see she was cast as my favorite Disney villain. But on the other hand, I have witnessed how truly good she can be. So, I’ll just have to wait and see.
Actors are only as good as the scripts they get. The comedies she did didn't really give her a chance to show her acting abilities

This is going to be TIMELESS. They put so much love into this. It will be a blockbuster passion project have a really strong feeling about this movie can I get emotional talking about it because I have always admired and loved the Beauty and the warmth and strength of Ariel as a character one of the most beautiful Disney Princesses ever created and she is move me ever since I was a teenager and Halle Bailey is like Ariel herself stepped off the drawing board is her in real life she's just a different race but equally is beautiful and talented and one of the loveliest new young women to Grace the screens of Hollywood right now I am very excited to see her future in the film industry Bravo Rob Marshall

Who got mad and Halle Bailey that the people who were thinking that the ones who are upset at her are racist Bill Cosby with assault them and he also defend her but they would boycott even further thanks his behavior and the people who are not happy with Bill Cosby they're going to get so much mad if he was King Triton and boycott even further with Kim Kardashian playing Ursula is also bad because if they have gotten her they would also get more mad having Hollyberry to continue playing Ariel as well as they would also have Kim Kardashian playing Ursula that should have been instead of getting the choice of Ursula.

I'm going to see this movie. But like the other so called "remakes", I'll only see this one time and stick to the original animated classics. No matter how great these special effects are, they will never live up to the animated originals.

You know when I heard Melissa laughing evilly in the trailer for he first time, I had chills down my spine, like Melissa has always been an comedy actress but she did play one serious role and it based off an story about an rude and stubborn librarian and I seen the movie and she literally nailed it, I am guessing that why Disney chose her. I know Melissa will nail it being Ursula, like Will Smith being the Genie. After seeing Will did a great job as Genie I know Melissa will do great. Also Ursula is great at body language and every movie I watch of Melissa she always do these green body languages and she good at that. So I am super excited to see her playing Ursula and her singing Poor Unfortunate Souls, which she does sing.
