Exactly. It's within the realm of possibility that Fairy orchestrated her own escape. The only thing that makes me think Fairy got involved in her theft is the "nightmare" we get after we plug Fairy's chip from the Strongbox into Eous. We see Belle and Wise at Scott Outpost (?), in front of Hollow Zero, with the word "REWIND" front and center, and then Hollow Zero expands to consume everything. Regardless of whether or not the AIs are from the future, or they have predictive algorithms that can effectively "see" the future, they want to prevent that disaster shown in that scene. And I feel that wherever the AIs are, active or not, they would not be able to intervene in a meaningful manner. So I'm guessing either Fairy orchestrated her escape attempt, actively or passively (e.g. by leaking her position to Bringer and/or the Red Fang Gang), or hijacked the existing plan by bringing in the Cunning Hares and Phaethon. Admittedly, my theory involves a lot of assumptions and guesses, which is why I'm only putting 1 Denny on it.
I feel like Carol Arna situation is very complex as Harumasa story (and Phaethon story) imply. "Power Players" and "TOPS" seems always wanted pushing their own agenda - their goals - forward (for many reasons i assume) in this world, and that might include a lot of (especially but not limited to Ether) Experiments as was already foreshadowed, which is surprisingly (or not) why potentially we have 'the Order' Cult (and maybe so many Hollows, which also connected to Hollow Zero) in the first place, i think.
I made a video discussing what we know about the order already! Im looking forward to how the writers incorporate the divine comedy into the plot! I love the progression through historic poetry and mythology! 🤔 most interesting thing i noticed so far is that lucia is the patron saint of the blind and fairy/bringer eye motif is crossed out in her character design. Im going to do a thorough analysis on the foundational literature when we get that narrative arc because i adore how the writers subvert expectations in retellings of these time-tested stories!

Its amazing how HYV use real life (but) interconnected combined cultural (modern and ancient) & historical study in insparation for every Stories, Worlds and Games they make. It really adds that value back form our real world on top of having their original unique retelling that while fun is also thoughtful at the same time. Im actually surprised at ZZZ Team very subtle and eased aproach (on worldbuilding and other lore with story related presenation) style right now, not only its amazing in itself for everyone it will be so good to getting back to first chapters later. And yeah, i already can see how ZZZ Team potentially incorprated the elements of the Divine Comedy (being Greek Myth) and Eridu(ha!) Genesis (being included in Sumerian Myths) in the ZZZ Worldview and Story. Will be exiting to see more leads and references in the future.
I feel like the current "proof" for rain having ghost is finnicky/flimsy as hell. Considering that ghost isn't active when we get fairy, and that nicole had rain as a proper contact enough to also check in with *other* people who knew rain, the likelyhood rain lucked into nabbing ghost from White Star (or another gang?) and managed to properly activate and contract with it is... not exactly high. If three green tokens and 1 red, that either means 2 others are active (which may be ghost, may not be), or all three others are inactive. The ghost metaphor sounds interesting... but in that case there's also White Noise sitting there (poltergeists + other spirits -> static + electronic interference) with the "main guy" easily able to breach Fairy's defenses. You'll also note that White Noise's underling managed to break into the unmodified HDD like they were using a power saw... only to then fizzle out as they couldn't do any more than blackmail (no Youkai to finish via corruption). So from a results pov, White Noise is much more likely to be employing Ghost than Rain. Rain being capable of digital pen normally would mirror how our main duo can do hollow nav perfectly fine on their own (well, with the help of their oculars and the HDD). It COULD be that rain "blew up" because she got her hands on ghost letting her go faster... but hacking/digital pen doesn't help in account-building the same omnipresent way that Search does. At most she can kick a few more beehives with less risk. Instead, it's just as likely that she took on a few bigger jobs during this high-risk season and managed to draw attention via those stunts. I sit with AV's take on it, it's highly unlikely Rain actually has ghost, or for that matter that any of the other three keys are activated yet, but in the future as they take even more prominent roles the AIs might get distributed.
The biggest thing that’s doesn’t add up is that she says that her job isn’t like the movies and a few chapters later she’s doing the crazy stuff we see in movies. Most of it is foreshadowing, remember they only talked about the eye implants indirectly until chapter 5 but they were there the whole time.

Interesting that AI are parallel of Organic life, which some speculate Ethereals might be the new pseudo-spieces of the planet as book called "Symbiosis" described them having symbios with plants and animals, having basic intelect, etc. And they with Hollows can corrupt even machines in some cases. I do wonder what the main theme of the game fully be like after a while.

Are Nicole, Anby, and Billy the most in lore overpowered A-ranks ever? The most heartbreaking boss fight though... Anby having to fight Soldier 11... Assuming Hoyo doesn't just retcon Soldier 11.
I think other important Characters will get the AI's eventually if not already as you sugest. Devs could do a lot of dynamic groups and connections in this way, fun and interesting stuff, yeah.

I didnt notice any changes to s11’s story in 1.4. I hope they take her out of the basement for 2.x 😥 i hope they dont retcon it in the future
