The last week has been the hardest week of my life. I had a mental breakdown and tried to kill myself. But it's the few good moments like right now, listening to this song, that give me the strength to keep going. I just hope Willie knows how much good he does in the world.
I love this! Such a beautiful heartwarming & ingenious video... the part where the woman sits down next to Willie & starts crying plucked a few heartstrings for me. I've been listening to The Harder They Come soundtrack since my dad got it for me when I was about ten... just now discovering this great cover. Great job to Willie & all the folks who appeared in &or worked on this video.
@Willie Nelson official fan inbox since 1975 when "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" came out and I was living in Dallas, TX as an AFS Domestic Exchange Student for the Fall semester from Concord, MA. :)
@Willie Nelson official fan inbox swore I saw you at Cotton Bowl in 1975 with Waylon Jennings, Jessie Coulter and more. Texas State Fair but it was so long ago. You maybe were there made an appearance but perhaps didn't perform. Hope to one day. 🙏🏼 ❤️
i love this man like a grandpa he is deff a hippie cowboy, he has lived loved, and played with the most awesome misicians including himself love ya willie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
the first time I saw Willie, was in 1963 in Austin Tx. I fell in love w him then and have never stopped loving him and his music and his way of life. I am OLD !!
I have Always loved Willie Nelson. I have Always loved Jimmy Cliff.. I have always loved this song.. I Just Now found that Willie did this! Hurray! I struck gold! Lol
As Wikipedia says: " After suffering of pneumonia a repeated number of times, he decided he had to quit either marijuana or tobacco. Nelson decided to quit tobacco." He did the right thing.....
Always good to see the Maestro at work. No Willie-recording without Mickey on harmonicas, too. Saw Willie LIVE many times, at one point even even 3 times the same week: Amsterdam, Groningen and in a German Truckerpark (forgot the town). Carlos Santana is right too: Willie IS standing at the crossroads of every musical direction. (Ofcourse this great song is written by Jimmy Cliff, credit where it's due!!) Love and peace and hope to all of you. The Doc
This is the most respectless cover to adapt a reggea song . and the best i ever heared. Brillant. I am obsessed. MR.WILSON I salute you Form Bavaria,Germany
Aaw! Those boys putting mangoes in his guitar case was a beautiful thing. They ain’t have money but gave him something better. Beautiful! Love unu Willie! More life!
i dont know why exactly why, but it brings tears to my eyes,, maybe cuz im from Texas and listen to Rasta Music, and Willie Just Kills it on this video, and alot of everything else he is doing these days, Rebel Music! & he took it RASTA! Get it WILLIE! I will see u at the Puyallop Fair this year! it would make my WORLD if u sang this particular song! Mad RESEPC Jimmy!
No comment because you don't understand the meaning of this song. At least Willie does! If you love this guy, then you should make the effort to understand his music and voice and message!
Perry Henzel made this classic film and I had the priilege to congratulate him way back then at his West kings Road Office. with Paul Noble and Donna Noble. Great Movie. I have seen it four times at four different universities in the USA and Canada.
awwwwww that was so nice of Willie at the end. XD paying off those poor street kids for stealing from that lady. lol see now that is a person with a true heart. ^_^
I have an appreciation for people like Willie Nelson that don't bend to mainstream. He doesn't try to be something he's not just to be mainstream or sell stuff. When older artists try to sound "current" is when they end up losing their credibility. Older artists should be able to make the deepest, most honest music with how much life they lived and they deserve respect for it not the, "They need to quit making music, because I'm young and don't get it or its behind the times."
Would like to see Jimmy Cliff, Willie Nelson and Keith Richards (who also covered this) sitting together with guitars, having a joint and having fun
Wow never knew Keith did a cover of this
We're going to miss Willie. Not many inspirational Americans these days. America has become a dark country.
The last week has been the hardest week of my life. I had a mental breakdown and tried to kill myself. But it's the few good moments like right now, listening to this song, that give me the strength to keep going. I just hope Willie knows how much good he does in the world.

Willie is a musician/music that helps me get through life. My goal is to see him live before either of us move on to the afterlife. His music is epic.
