I got one this spring to replace my LG Stylo5. My LG didn't have anymore internal space, so it wouldn't update apps no matter how many I removed. I had the LG just short of two years. I really hope I don't have to replace my phone anytime soon. Screen protectors and cases are expensive!
Is the focus hunting still there? I'm getting a really good deal, $600 for just few days used with all the accessories. I'm tempted but not sure if that problem still exists and if it does it a deal-breaker for me since I want to get it for cameras.
People in the EU would hate their Galaxy S20 Ultra 5g in comparison to your S20 Ultra 5g just because the Samsung own SoC in the international model. US got that nice & crispy Snapdragon but in Germany for example exist just the Exynos 990 variant which is significantly slower in performance, it is heating up fast the whole phone aaand its more hungry in power consumption
Good job Zack! I'm also trying to use my phone for long as possible. But my Huawei P9 Lite is 2016 model, we performed battery replacement at home with it 2 years ago, and it's finally time for me to upgrade. I still use my Sony Xperia I bought used six years ago for $80, and I still love it. I can do everything with it. Games, RUclips, video chat, anything. Last year I replaced the charging port because it became loose, so It can last the next six years. I spend the $500+ every two years on stuff that really matter to me, instead on things people buy, trying to impress strangers because they feel worthless without. When I see someone with a $200+ phone, I feel pity for them. It's like expensive shoes. "Yo WTF! You stepped on my new shoes WTF!" "Calm down, it was an accident also don't buy white shoes, Superbrain."
I've been using my phone for more than 3 years now, still good btw, its a Pocophone F1 and it works well with no damage to its external(having a plastic back helps) as well as no scratches of any sort in the screen(screen protector does the job, had to replace it twice) The only damages I can think of is the battery reaching it lifespan's end and maybe the slight yellow in the top left of the screen. Both are minor problems. It's just goes to show that you don't need to change phones every year or two, most phones are meant to last longer than people use them for.
I have huge respect for the fact that he didn't use catchy title like to attract viewers. He could have . But he knows and care about his audience, his community.
Been using my Note 8 ever since it came out ! I absolutely love it and wasn't planning to switch it anytime soon until it died. Unfortunately just like Jerry, I broke my first screen last week in 12 years of owning smartphones! The screen replacement was $300 so I ended up buying a new Note 9 in a sealed box for $500. I'm going to replace the screen eventually and keep using my Note 8 as secondary device.
S10+ goes for 300 currently used but the Notes are still capable of going for 500 and upwards new. Wow. Would have gone for the Note 10 to be honest for software and processor

I’ve used a galaxy s7 since launch it served me well but the experience started showing it’s age so I switched to an iPhone 11 and I plan on using it for like 6/7 years max, 4/5 minimum. If the battery goes bad anytime during that period I can just go to an Apple store and replace it there
Your XS Review convinced me to get one when my iPhone 6 finally bricked after almost 5 years of steady everyday use. I’ve had this phone since you did the drop tests for the iPhone XS and it still looks like new. It slows down at points now but not so much that I get a new phone just yet
I've had my current phone for a couple months, but before the swap I'd been using the same phone for around 6.5 years. It was a Galaxy Note 4 which I got new on release.
My note 9's back glass has slightly detached on it's own. So there goes water resistance. I guess it happened over time due to playing pubg and charging the phone in both cases the phone gets really hot. Phone's battery backup is weak now. I have to charge three times a day if i am playing pubg. I am using this phone since july 2019.
I haven't noticed any changes to the back glass, but I do keep it in a case at all times. I have noticed a decreased battery life, although it could also be that I have been using it a lot more in this past year as a webcam for school because it lasts two days of regular use. And that's the thing with my phone, it's my own tech-Swiss-army-knife.
My secondary phone just died its 7 years old idk the brand because I rooted it and the letter on the back smudged off. The battery used to last a week on a charge up until this month now it last 10 min.
Been rocking a Note 9 since October 2018, and have absolutely no plans of upgrading until it goes completely kaput. Samsung peaked with the Note 9, it was the last true flagship they released. It had all the bells and whistles, and you could tell they pushed the envelope hard with it.
4:13 Actually, all South Korean phones are network unlocked, as all of them are required to be. So it works on other carriers from different countries as well.
Even if the phone is unlocked it might not support all of the bands carriers in the US use. So buying an unlocked model manufactured specifically for the US matket is the best way to go tbh.
@@edgardomalave8713 Unless you're getting a super cheap budget phones here (Even those have wide availability of LTE bands), it has pretty seamless compatibility across the board. The network needs to be on GSM tho, not CDMA for Korean phones to work on other networks.

@@rearmisser it comes from Jury rigging (also called "jerry rigging" and by similar phrases) is both a noun and a verb describing makeshift repairs made with only the tools and materials at hand. Its origin lies in such efforts done on boats and ships, characteristically sail powered to begin with.
This shows how badly designed Samsung is with a pointless curved screen. Also, opening the housing and replacing the display is extremely difficult.
I got my S20 Ultra 5G in December of last year, and I'm gonna run this thing till it dies. I love everything about it.
I got one this spring to replace my LG Stylo5. My LG didn't have anymore internal space, so it wouldn't update apps no matter how many I removed. I had the LG just short of two years. I really hope I don't have to replace my phone anytime soon. Screen protectors and cases are expensive!
Me too, lost my 1lakhs on this.
Is the focus hunting still there? I'm getting a really good deal, $600 for just few days used with all the accessories. I'm tempted but not sure if that problem still exists and if it does it a deal-breaker for me since I want to get it for cameras.
I did that with my S7 Edge in 2016, just got my S21 this past June.
That's exactly how I would show an instant slow motion replay too, including the very real sound effects.
Good job Zack! I'm also trying to use my phone for long as possible. But my Huawei P9 Lite is 2016 model, we performed battery replacement at home with it 2 years ago, and it's finally time for me to upgrade. (also I recently broke my screen as well, but still works) I'm getting Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ these Christmas.
I have the same note 10+ almost when Jerry got his and im planning to keep it for as long as I can
Same and not planned. That i also had the same device before 2. The galaxy s8+
I am using Galaxy Note 9 (since pre-order) and ngl it's starting to show some age, but it's fine, better the phone, worse my Phone addiction will get so this will do for a while more :D
Also, His name is Zack not Jerry
i have a s9+ tho im about to upgrade to the 10 since i still want my headphone jack

Loki: and what was your nexus event, your majesty?
Zack: I broke my personal phone on accident.
Yeah
I've been using my phone for more than 3 years now, still good btw, its a Pocophone F1 and it works well with no damage to its external(having a plastic back helps) as well as no scratches of any sort in the screen(screen protector does the job, had to replace it twice)
The only damages I can think of is the battery reaching it lifespan's end and maybe the slight yellow in the top left of the screen. Both are minor problems.
It's just goes to show that you don't need to change phones every year or two, most phones are meant to last longer than people use them for.
Pocophone F1 is magnificant phone. Just recently upgraded to Poco F3, broken back panel after 6months 😂😂😂
It's funny how he said the quote was by "Jerry's Mom" even though his name is Zack lol
Further fueling the confusion about his real name :)
wait...isn't Jerry his grandfather..so wouldnt it be jerry's daughter (or daughter in law)
Right?? Lol
May be, Zack's Great Grandmother said same thing to his Grandfather 😹😹😹
Had mine since June 2018.
Samsung galaxy S9+
Never had an issue, although the battery isn't as good as it was.
I have huge respect for the fact that he didn't use catchy title like to attract viewers. He could have . But he knows and care about his audience, his community.
Except the TWICE word is an algorithm magnet
And it’s a bit of a rhetorical question, something that is found in clickbait titles. Zach is still a really good, honest RUclipsr though.
The reason we don’t see him get a new phone is cause the TVA reset that timeline

I've had my Note 9 for three years and it is still going strong.

I haven’t been using my phone very long Zak. I have an iPhone 13 mini. But I do plan to use it for 5 years, if possible.
