Popular and dashing American singer Nick Rivers (Val Kilmer) travels to East Germany to perform in a music festival. When he loses his heart to the gorgeous Hillary Flammond (Lucy Gutteridge), he finds himself caught up in an underground resistance movement. Rivers joins forces with Agent Cedric (Omar Sharif) and Flammond to attempt the rescue of her father, Dr. Paul (Michael Gough), from the Germans, who have captured the scientist in hopes of coercing him into building a new naval mine.

The things I love in this era is the comedy film is kinda inaccurate, incorrect fact, bit awkward and weird at same time. But the fact is it's the funniest combination than modern comedy era

What a great blast from the past. Such fun. I can still visualise Peter Cushing and that magnifying glass...so funny. Do not be sad real comedy like this is no more, just rejoice in knowing we grew up with Animal House/Porky's. I am collecting every stand up comic dvd I can buy , before they go on the banned list. I'll need some laughs in a few years while living in gods waiting room.

- Occasionally uses a muzzle-loading CANNON to take down enemy troops.
- Crack shot with a full-auto Tommy gun . . . FROM THE HIP!!
- Can bring total silence to any outdoor scene . . . by smashing that chirping cricket with a giant mallet.
- Can throw a grappling hook -- with Deja Vu snagged -- several flights up.
- Can punch an enemy soldier so hard when they fall from several flights up, they SHATTER.
- Has somebody waiting to the side, hiding in bushes, JUST TO HAND HIM HIS TOMMY GUN!

well, no - they're misrepresenting how cannons were used, with one under each armpit while an eyepatch/blindfold covered at least one of the eyes (preferably their primary side's), unlike how it's used in the movie with just a single cannon.
