Love this ship. One of the few designs that makes actual sense .
Basically a gunboat with large storage capacity. This is the type of ship I imagine being used in a galaxy wide war where cargo captains can feel a bit safe.
Next to the original x-wing this is my favorite.
I totally agree. Make a light freighter that is super well armed and has a lot of storage space = winning. Glad to cover this one!

For a brick, it flew pretty good.
Usually paper beats rock, but in this case -- brick beats paper tiger.
Perfect vessel for pirate and mercenary groups. Could you imagine a swarm of these babies harassing corvettes or even light frigates with their turbolasers, ion cannons, and missles. Like wolves or piranha.😉
With all that internal space and CEC modularity there's more than enough space to add a few upgrades and a boarding party.😉😉

@@hyperspacedatabase Ships that you could legally purchase as "civilian" legal vessels and mod into combat ready vessels.
I'm pretty sure the CEC was doing it to give the Empire a big ol' middle finger.😉😂

If it's able to be modified, slim down the upper cargo hold, add s-foils for increased maneuvering, add on a concealed dual laser turret similar to the Fondor Haulcraft, and have an advanced droid/AI system that helps with ship functions
Overall it’s a great ship the only modifications I would make is possibly increasing the hyperdrive from the class 2 to a class 1 or better and I would one or two light rapid fire quad laser cannons for star fighter defense that would fired using one or two droids
Those would be great additions!
Great Video! I love this ship! I suggest it whenever I can. It's certainly the ship I would want in the Star Wars galaxy, along with a crazy crew of robots and twyleks! Hell even have a Mandalorian for muscle, or a crazy IG-80 series robot bodyguard!

This is one of the best gunship, I know it expensive as hell even with vanilla from factory however if the said person purchase this ship and do even more modifications to it then there is no limit to it potential.
The upper cockpit shape reminded me of the Consular Class Cruiser (one seen at start of The Phantom Menace!?) And I think that type of cruiser was refitted to be more a combat vessel during the Clone Wars!?

That ship is very awesome. I would buy a used one and ad two heavy twin laser cannons. Furthermore i would ad 4 vulture droids (two at the back and two at the belly of thise ship or two at each of the sides of the ship) . They would attach themmself by using their strong magnets. They would be wunderful at fighting of enemy starfighters. I also would have a crew of 10 B1 battledroids( 2 Pilots, 4 Gunners and 4 droid marines). I also would change 2 of the 4 concussian missil launchers into proton Torpedo launchers for more flexibility. The total cost would be 10 x 2000 credits for the B1 droids, 2x 4000 for the twin laser cannons, 4x 5000 for the 4 used Vulture droids and 100000 for the used ship. That makes a total of 148000 credits. That is a good price for a ship that could be used as light fraighter, troop carrier, starfighter carrier, blocaderunner and heavy gunship. That makes that ship together with the C-roc gozenti to one of my two all time favorite ships. Thank you for covering it. :)

Strange to see cargo on the top level with the cockpit and living quarters on the bottom. That's the reverse of most ships. Be a shame if your lift tube broke while under fire and you got trapped away from the controls.
I'm not sure from the blueprints, but maybe cud have added a rung of ladders as backup like they did with Zeta Class Shuttle!? (Though that was too small for a turbolift 😉)
It is rather different in that regard. Some of these design layouts are kind of bizarre if you ask me.

Install small stairs in the hallway before the lift. Goes straight to the parlor area. Maybe a second staircase in the circuit room(#4). But I like to think the lift room has emergency ladders on both sides. Cockpit and circuit room side.
Still love this ship. If I were in the Star Wars universe I’d pick this over all the freighters. Good freighter, decent armament for bounty hunting/defense, small crew(droids!), decent living quarters, etc.

I mean seriously? How can you be an effective bounty hunter in a starfighter? This makes much more sense and would look a hell of a lot more awesome in a huge space fight....just saying.....
I totally agree! The only good things about the redone n-1 are the speed and not being registered. For his line of work, this would be much better, no doubt!

An early, unregistered (and massively slave 1 and falcon style beefed up) yv 929 carrying the n1 (maybe piloted by grogu in the future) would be what i want to see

YV-929 is amazing, but they really screwed up the size of this ship. 22 meters is about the size of an American big rig truck (which carry about 40 metric tons of cargo). In fact the entire ship's stated dimensions are very close to those of a tractor-trailer. Imagine fitting nearly four times the amount of cargo, turbolasers, ion cannons, heavy shielding and armor, living space and supplies for at least 4 people AND engines big enough to move all of it, and it just doesn't work. For starship size comparison, this thing is only seven meters longer than an X-Wing and 3 meters SHORTER than Razor Crest from The Mandalorian. It is even smaller than the (not very spacious) Stinger Mantis from Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor.
I think it would make a lot more sense if the ship was proportionally enlarged to be about 40-45 meters long; it would then be about the same length as the modern-day Boeing 737-900 (for real-world reference); a little longer than the Millennium Falcon and about as long as the Ghost from Rebels but not as wide.
