- The Cerapad and Cerapad KIN provide super unique control AND speed choices with a ceramic coated glass mousepad. Top notch customer service and qualities that should result in a lifelong mousepad in multiple sizes are awesome qualities to have in a competitive gaming mousepad. An expensive product that has top quality customer service makes a high price purchase much safer for the consumer. And here TJ Exclusives was really an absolute pleasure to work with and really stands behind their product, a rare quality nowadays. Honestly I'm sure that if I reached out to them again they would happily help me out, I just don't have time to do a repeat test :/ I can still easily recommend a Cerapad, moreso the Kin than the original Cerapad.

thanks for cementing my confidence in the purchase of the kin, great review, keep it up man this deserves way more views 👍
Glad to help! And thanks very much!! 🙏
What made you buy this one rather than a superglide pad/skypad? Im curious about this thing too
@@r4nowo this pad was mainly for valorant and while it's very consistent, controlled and fun to play with, it's just not slow enough for me lol. so I'll be selling it, and if this wasn't slow enough no way would a skypad suit me lol
Great review Gekko, appreciate ya paying attention to the little details of tha kin. It's really an awesome glass/hard pad.
Hope ya have a great Sunday my brother. Cheers.
Thank you bro! Yeah the KIN really hits just the right spot. Loved testing it out. You too!
This is probably one of the most comprehensive reviews of the cerapad kin
Well hecc, thank you!!
@@GekkoTechGaming got that thing in my checkout bin right now just debating hahaha
Fantastic video. Really well spoken and thought out.
Shoot, thanks!
Good video, thanks a lot!
Probably the best review on these pads I have seen to date! GOAT!
Whoah 😳 Heck, thanks man!! Appreciate that!
After one year, do you still use the cerapad kin ? Did you have any issue with it ? (Scratch or something like that) thanks in advance for your time
Is very good pad tj i have one blue 505
Do sleeves glide well on the cerapad kin version?
Yeah they will work well. Not as necessary as the regular cerapad, I used the Kin without a sleeve, no issues.
@@GekkoTechGaming also are u aware of the newest batches that were sent out around match that has a new coating on the kin thats metallic and supposedly is more durable? How did you clean and maintain the cerapad kin without damaging it?
@@domy6503 Did not hear about that, makes sense though. like a month or so out from review I did notice it getting some scuff marks. No deep scratching like the regular Cerapad, but definitely looks a lot uglier. I used microfiber cloth and distilled water to clean it, the least abrasive things I could think of to avoid scratching it haha.
@@GekkoTechGaming Does it still perform the same after those scratches? Thats important to know
@@domy6503 feels just the same, no change in glide. The original Cerapad scratches were real deep and concerning whereas the Kin are more scuff marks
So it does last for life ?? I’m coming from a cloth control pad which one would you recommend ?
I would definitely suggest the KIN if you were previously using a control cloth mouse pad. The KIN is very much control, might be a hair faster than the slowest mud pads, but the benefit of the consistency and longevity outweighs that in my opinion. That’s the claim, these are meant to be a one and done pad. Everything will eventually wear, but these should last past the amount of time you’d even want to use it. I had a good time with the KIN, not as much with the original.
@@GekkoTechGaming awesome thank you!! so the kin doesn’t have to much glide to it ? Cause the cloth mouse pad always felt stiff and just harder to be consistent with it. I’m looking for something that glides but isn’t super crazy, I was peeking at the sky pad
It has much more dynamic friction than any other hard pad. Definitely not a mud pad type of slow though. It’s faster than the slowest cloth pads, but in my opinion it’s the most well balanced of the hard pads. The Skypad 2.0 is next, and the original Cerapad is a speedy boi. Can’t speak to the Skypad 3.0, but it’s supposed to be faster than the 2.0. Either the Skypad 2.0 or the KIN would do well for you.
@@GekkoTechGaming awesome thankyou!1 Ill take a look at both of their prices again I'm just worried about the cleaning process for the skypad and the kin, since a piece of the kin chipped off, and I don't want scratches on the surface.
Sorry about all the questions i appreciate it, is the skypad similar to the kin with control and speed, because they both last for a long time and I don't want to buy the wrong one and be stuck with it ?
No worries 🤙 The kin held up very well. It’s the original Cerapad that chipped, not the Kin. The Skypad is faster than the Kin. It is also noticeably tougher, grittier in texture. The Kin is completely smooth with matte texture. Both did well without a sleeve for my use, but the kin was better overall with bare skin. Cleaning will be the same for both.
Which one is better?
In terms of durability, I'm more confident in the Kin over the original cerapad. But in terms of performance, it's subjective. If you like speedy pads get the cerapad. If you like controlled glide with stopping power then the Kin is your bet. But in terms of unique-ness, the Kin is definitely the most interesting hard pad I've used. Also sleeves are (less) mandatory on the kin, the cerapad you gotta have a sleeve or a long sleeve shirt/jacket
